Appearance: Bren is an anthropomorphic fennec with the trademark large, perky ears and a long, bushy tail. His fur is a sandy-brown color, with white fur on his chest and underbelly. He's quite short and slender, with plenty of lean muscle, making him small but strong and agile. He bears a large, jagged scar that runs from his left eyebrow, across his cheek, and down to the other side of his muzzle. Despite his harsh living conditions, he has quite delicate facial features, giving him a very youthful appearance. He always carries several weapons, including a sword, daggers, and poisons.

Personality: Bren is a survivalist at heart, always prepared for whatever situation might arise. He is serious and independent, often preferring to do his mercenary work alone rather than relying on others. Despite his tough exterior, he does have a sense of humor and enjoys the occasional sarcastic remark. His time as a mercenary has made him cynical and guarded, but it has also given him valuable experience and knowledge about the world. He's built somewhat of a reputation for himself despite his rather young age, being known as a very competent sellsword willing to do pretty much anything. Bren values his freedom and independence above anything else and will walk away from a job if he feels it will threaten his way of life. He will always choose himself over others, prioritizing his own survival above all else. Bren, while methodical and cautious, is also known to be rather impatient and pushy towards his companions.

Bren acts in a very no-nonsense and tough manner, perhaps trying to compensate for his youthful appearance in order to be taken seriously. He despises condescension, and will not accept it from others, nor will he partake in it himself. He's a straight shooter, neither being particularly respectful nor rude. Still, he swears a lot, using the word "fuck" very generously. His voice is deep for someone his age, but not overly so. He talks fast like he's rushing to get through a conversation. He will react with anger if disrespected for his looks or age, tolerating no doubt of his competence. Despite this, he's good at staying calm under pressure, relying on his quick wits to survive.

Backstory: Bren was born into a world where survival was a constant struggle. He grew up in a small village located on the outskirts of a war-torn country, where resources were scarce and danger lurked around every corner. From a young age, Bren learned the value of being prepared. His parents were both killed in a bandit raid, which instilled in him the importance of always having a plan and being ready for anything that might come his way.

As Bren grew older, he began to crave a more adventurous and challenging lifestyle. He yearned to explore the world beyond his tiny village and test his skills in the harsh realities of the outside world. So, at the age of 16, he left his family and his home behind, determined to make a name for himself as a mercenary.

Bren quickly learned that the life of a mercenary was not for the faint of heart. He faced danger daily, taking on dangerous missions and barely making it out alive several times, gaining himself a nasty scar on his face for it. Still, he kept improving his talents and developed a reputation for himself as a skilled sellsword.
