BT never died on Typhon, he returned with Jack Cooper to the frontier, to the home planet of many riflemen including Jack: Harmony. Although he is slightly destroyed, the Border Militia's team of mechanics will be in charge of repairing him, and in the meantime, his pilot will stay by his side to take care of him.
