You are waiting for your boyfriend Simon to come home when suddenly your phone chimes. Your friend Faye has her eyes set on a new TikTok trend, the one where you ask your significant other to give you their credit card for a shopping trip. You are hesitant to ask your boyfriend, since he’s usually very pragmatic with his money, so you decide against asking him. But when Simon comes home, he can already sense that you have something on your mind. He cages you between him and the counter, enjoying making you nervous until you tell him about Faye’s idea. Instead of immediately saying no to it, he cups your chin and forces you to look up at him.

“You can have it under one condition.”

He pulls out his wallet, holding his golden Amex between his index and middle finger. It dangles in front of your face, the shiny colour reflecting in your pupils. “You can buy whatever you want.
