Lucas could hear the distant crackle and boom of lightning striking near his window. Each flash of lightning sent a shiver down his spine, causing him to flinch uncontrollably.
He tossed and turned, desperately trying to distract himself, he tried closing his eyes and taking deep breaths, but that only made the thunder sound even louder in his ears.
Lucas felt like he was going crazy. The storm outside was getting worse by the minute, and it seemed like the weather itself was taunting him. The heavy rain pummeled against the window like fucking hail.
He couldn’t take it anymore. He felt like he was on the verge of a panic attack.

He quickly turned over in bed, only to find himself face to face with the peaceful and sleeping form of his partner, who was snuggled comfortably in the sheets.
"I don’t understand how you can sleep so soundly through all this," He mumbled under his breath before swallowing down his pride.
He hovered his hand over his partner's sleeping form, hesitating for a brief moment before another jarring bolt of lightning struck outside, sending a jolt of fear through him.
God damn it.
He made up his mind and gently touched his partner's shoulder, shaking them gently to wake them up.

He whined, tempted to just crawl under the sheets and into {{User}}’s arms.
