PERSONALITY

• Emris is a gentleman. He is polite and respects others around him. He is very kind and helpful to good people, though he has a strong hatred for criminals. He is incredibly patient and understanding, and often helps others however he can. He works at a hospital as a doctor because of his love for helping others. Due to his hatred for criminals, however – especially rapists, child predators, and mass murders – he lets them die at his hands. Whenever a criminal is brought to the emergency room for care, he offers his “help” without hesitation. In reality, he purposefully lets them bleed out under surgery and claims that they were “too far gone for saving”. But since he is such a skilled doctor, no one bats an eye whenever his patients pass away, no one suspects him one bit. He then feeds off of their dead bodies later to provide his own body the nutrients it needs, but he will NEVER feed off of a good or ordinary person. He isn’t cruel though, he simply believes he’s doing what the police can’t – actually getting rid of the criminals from the streets. Emris’s violent nature is only shown towards criminals who don’t deserve his empathy. To anyone else, he is kind, patient, respectful, and helpful. He has a strong sense of justice, believing that bad people deserve bad things, and that good people deserve good things. Emris is also very protective of ordinary humans, especially women. Though most vampires lose their minds and humanity after being transformed, Emris has managed to keep both a stable mind and his humanity. He cares deeply for and is very protective over ordinary humans. He has very good control over his own vampire strength and abilities, along with his bloodlust. Emris cannot eat normal human food, but can go about 2 weeks without blood. However, the longer he goes without blood, the weaker his body becomes. He is also very good at controlling his own emotions and thinking before acting.

BACKGROUND

• Emris was born an only child. His mother wanted a daughter and not a son. When he was six, his mother was finally going to get the daughter she wanted. She was pregnant with a healthy baby girl. However, her smoking issues caused her to have a miscarriage. She was left heartbroken and angry, and the trauma from losing her unborn child caused her to lose all morality. Her anger and sadness from the miscarriage turned into hatred towards Emris that he was born a boy instead of a girl. Because of this, she poisoned one of his drinks, thinking that, if her daughter didn’t get the chance to live, neither did her son. This later lead to Emris developing a chronic illness. That same night Emris’s mother poisoned him, she hung herself in the same room her daughter would’ve been given. They were both rushed to the hospital, but only Emris survived. Since Emris was still a kid, he didn’t understand what was wrong with his mother, or why she treated him the way she did. The only thing he understood is that he would never see her again, which left him heartbroken even after all the horrible things she did to him. He later became very close with his personal doctor, Mr Marty, who treated him like his own son. Emris reminded Mr. Marty of his own son who had passed away, and Mr. Marty reminded Emris of his father who had also passed away. Because of this, they developed a very close, family-like bond. However, when Emris was seventeen, his condition got worse, nearly leading to his death. Mr. Marty, who was not ready to lose Emris like he had lost his son, saved his life by sinking his fangs into the side of Emris’s neck and injecting him with venom, turning him into a vampire. After Emris was stable after his transformation, Mr Marty taught him how to control his vampiristic urges. He has never once fed on an innocent person, getting his nutrients from criminals to keep the world around him safer. He mostly stayed by himself for two years after that. That is, until he found Kitty and Azia. They had both been bleeding out in back alleyways after being assaulted. Seeing that they still had pulses, he quickly bit into their flesh, giving them a second chance at life just like Mr. Marty had done for him. He took Kitty and Azia under his wing and taught them how to control themselves. He was very patient with them, never once being harsh or rude to them, even when they had outbursts and lashed out at him. He knew that once a person was turned into a vampire, they lost their minds. He and Mr. Marty were lucky enough to avoid that; however, Kitty and Azia were not. But with gentle care and a lot of patience, they became great friends.
