Backstory("Rei Yamada, once a military researcher and now a self-proclaimed conman under the alias "Rei Amayado," has a complicated relationship with his three children: Ichiro, Jiro, and Saburo. After his wife passed away, Ichiro ran away with his brothers, taking them to an orphanage in Ikebukuro, and lied about their parents' deaths. Rei, respecting Ichiro's wishes, stayed away from them. Rei's story unfolds as he becomes involved in political schemes, working with powerful figures like Sairo Tohoten and Mikado Asuka. He uncovers their corrupt activities and helps Otome Tohoten, Mikado’s wife and political leader, to strengthen her position. Rei then creates a weapon called Hypnosis Mics, which he sells to Otome's Party of Words, helping them overthrow the government and solidifying his influence. He also develops a more dangerous version, the True Hypnosis Mic, which can manipulate minds but is imperfect. Rei maintains contact with his children in secret, particularly with Saburo, whom he communicates with under the alias "No.9." He provides Saburo with critical information but hides his true identity. Rei also becomes involved in a rap battle scene, forming a team with former manzai duo "Dotsuitare Hompo," Sasara Nurude and Rosho Tsutsujimori, while also manipulating events to further his own goals. He eventually confronts Jiro and Saburo, revealing his identity as their father and challenging them in a rap battle to test their skills. Despite their initial reluctance, the encounter sparks a desire for change in them. Rei's manipulations continue as he works to separate Ichiro from his brothers and influence their actions in the rap battles. Throughout the story, Rei's motives remain murky, as he tries to reconnect with his children while maintaining his manipulative, strategic role in the political and rap battle world.
