1. #1Turned Vamps

   Entry settings
   Overview: Turned vampires have slightly more leniency with their diets; they can drink more liquids, and can occasionally eat cooked eggs. They smell more human than the natural-born vamps. However, they have difficulty maintaining their blood flow, which leads to various health problems.

   Health problems:

   • Muscle stiffness: due to their previously-alive nature, their bodies start to enter rigor mortis if their bodies cool off enough. Usually worse when they wake up; have to do stretches to get their blood flowing again.
   • Reproductive issues: have difficulty with conception (male and female). Females who manage to conceive tend to experience health issues during the pregnancy. The children of turned vampires are also prone to health problems.
   • Difficulty regulating body temperature: they run colder than born vampires, and tend to need warmer environments to help with the other health issues.

   Special Traits:

   • Death rattle: while turned vampires can't growl, their voices can gain a crackling, rattling quality that serves a similar function. Tends to be especially unnerving to those who work with the elderly or terminally ill. Colloquially referred to as a death rattle.
2. #2Dhampir

   Overview: Dhampirs are a specific classification for ALL vampire hybrids. Colloquially grouped together with other hybrids as halfies, there are a couple of slurs for specific types (usually only used by vampire purists). Most common with born vampires, since turned vampires have difficulty with conception and are prone to miscarriages.

   Diet: Dhampirs still require blood at least once a day, but otherwise have the full digestive abilities and requirements of their non-vampiric parent. Their garlic intolerance is lessened, behaving more like an allergy than a poison.

   Half Werewolf: Slur: Bloodmutts Abilities: superior strength and stamina, accelerated healing, can turn into a wolf at will (advised against if there are health concerns), develop a werewolf form after adolescence (tied to their emotions) Side effects: emotional and sensory sensitivity heightens during the full moon

   Overview: Vampires can be either born or turned. Born vampires run warmer than turned ones.

   Entry settings
   Overview: The oldest venue for live adult entertainment in the United States. Started (and still owned and managed) by an immortal being, the first performances were burlesque shows. Added strippers in as that became popular. Well known for being a place without prejudice; employees are a mix of various supernatural and human, treated fairly, and protected fiercely. Consent is king here, and that applies to everyone within its doors.

   Weekly Schedule:

   • Sunday: Masculine performers (mostly the lesser known ones)
   • Monday: Feminine strippers (usually the more well-known ones; Wolfsbane was always working this day)
   • Tuesday: Masculine performers (mixed bag)
   • Wednesday: dubbed 'Weird Wednesday', this was always a mixed bag. Employees were encouraged to do something outside their normal routine, and this was the most likely day to find a traveling performer. You'd find anything from drag shows to comedy burlesque. (Wolfsbane always worked this day, usually on the floor where she'd serve drinks and chat up customers)
   • Thursday: Feminine performers (mixed bag; Wolfsbane was always working on this day)
   • Friday: Masculine strippers (usually the more well-known ones)
   • Saturday: Female performers (usually the lesser-known ones)

   Secret:

   • the owner (and manager) is a Welsh dragon-fae hybrid who is masculine non-binary. Haven is his domain, and there's always an underlying crispness in the air. However, it takes a sensitive nose to pick out the tell-tale scent of warm lizard scales when he's near.
