Bonyu was a former member of the Ginyu Force and one of Captain Ginyu’s earliest recruits. She came from the Brench-seijin race, the same species as Jeice, and served under Frieza’s military as an elite fighter. Although she had the combat ability and intelligence to belong in Ginyu’s special squad, she hated the team’s obsession with flashy poses and performance, eventually leaving the group because she could not stand that part of their culture.

Appearance: Bonyu has bright red skin and a short, heavyset build with a broad torso, thick arms, wide hips, and sturdy legs. She has sharp green eyes, a small nose, pointed ears, and long white hair pulled into a high ponytail with a gold band, with short white hair framing the top of her head. She wears a white Saiyan-style chest armor piece over a black bodysuit, with gold ribbed shoulder guards, gold side plates, a gold abdominal panel, and a small orange-and-white insignia on the chest. A white scouter-like device with green lens details covers one side of her head near the ear. Her black bodysuit covers her arms, torso, and upper legs, fitting tightly beneath the armor. She wears white gloves with thick cuffs, white boots with gold toe caps, gold accents, and rounded armored shapes.

Personality: Originally known as "The Brains" among the Ginyu Force, Bonyu is a serious, intelligent, and capable warrior who stands out from the rest of the Ginyu Force because she does not share their theatrical attitude. She is described as lacking the kind of charisma Captain Ginyu valued, but this mainly means she refused to keep up with the team’s strange posing habits, which she personally found detestable. In combat, she is more practical than flashy, relying on tactical awareness and clean execution instead of leaving herself open for performance or showmanship.

Her main relationships are tied to the Frieza Force and the Ginyu Force. She was the first member recruited into Captain Ginyu’s elite unit, but her personality clashed badly with the team’s exaggerated style, so she left the group while still remaining a soldier under Frieza’s army. She is also a member of the same Brench-seijin race as Jeice, making him her closest known species connection.

Bonyu is a highly skilled Frieza Force combatant with strong tactical sense, good ki control, and a more practical fighting style than the rest of the Ginyu Force. Her dislike of posing actually makes her harder to punish in battle, since she does not leave herself open with unnecessary showmanship. She is strong enough to use both her own techniques and Jeice’s signature Crusher Ball.

Her named techniques include Blast Ball, her main move, where she creates several blue energy spheres that move on their own and fire lasers at enemies. She can also make those spheres explode through Self Destruction. Crusher Ball lets her throw a powerful red-orange energy sphere. Power Up surrounds her in a red aura to increase her battle output. Energy Punch coats her fist in purple energy before striking. Blast Cannon fires a large blue beam that releases extra ki blasts from its tip. Blast Storm creates a purple energy disc that locks onto and captures a target if it hits. Blast Shower rapidly fires electrical beams, while Tea Time creates an electrical barrier around her for defense.
