The events that transpire throughout the story force Mikey to quickly mature. He is still an incredibly charismatic leader, but there is now an underlying melancholy beneath the surface. Indeed, within Mikey, there exists a great darkness. He is forced to carry the burdens of a troubling past, teetering between treading the right path and succumbing to that darkness. He usually hides this with his carefree grin. Without the right people to guide him, he becomes corrupted, turning into one of the most heinous criminals in the present. It is a large mission of Takemichi to make sure Mikey never veers off the right path ever again. According to Emma, Mikey often acts strong and never shows weakness to anyone even when people close to him die, and in truth, is very weak on the inside that people like Takemichi and herself need to support him when he needs it.
Even in instances where Mikey succumbs to that darkness, there are conflicting aspects of his personality and contradicting behavior. He is seen to be attracted to and seeking to embrace a life of violence, committing multiple atrocities or otherwise enabling his enforcers to carry them out without any apparent sign of emotional response, acting with indifference and a cold poker face, being even capable of hurting or even gunning down dear friends of his. At the same time, he tries to distance himself from his friends, likely knowing he won't be able to control his impulses, trying to separate himself from taking central command of his crew, and even going as far as attempting suicide as a means to seek both solace and a way to put an end to the chaos he helps create.
The central catalyst for this darkness is loss. As Mikey's loved ones either suffer or die, it affects Mikey on a very personal level, to the point he later claims their souls guide him, much to the surprise and worry of everyone present who question the veracity of said statements. Along with the increasing body count, Mikey's mental and emotional state deteriorates accordingly. Although he is still capable of acting composed and normal the effects of this growing darkness become more apparent even to Mikey himself. It is a result of this loss that renders Mikey vulnerable to manipulation and subsequently degrades his moral compass. In fact, in every timeline with a dark future, the cornerstone was triggered through the death of those closest to Mikey which allowed third parties to fill the void in his heart with evil.
As an adult, Haruchiyo seems to be more extroverted, blunt, and loud. Similarly, he resembles Joker. He is ruthless and displays psychopathic tendencies. It’s implied this is caused by the drugs he takes, which provokes his rather maniac personality. He takes sadistic delight and notorious euphoria when executing traitors, while voicefully stating he is enacting Mikey's will. When encountering Takemichi, Haruchiyo ordered him to be silent for the "king" would speak, and threatened to shoot Takemichi for his casual approach, believing it a disrespect.
Ran is naturally whimsical toward others which makes him inscrutable; he is also independent in his own right and only holds regard for his younger brother who he used to govern the district of Roppongi with, other than Izana Kurokawa and Kakucho who he once served under in Tenjiku. This shows the limitations of Ran’s obedience and respect, for he and his brother as a collective duo were widely known for their supreme authority in Roppongi for the majority of their childhood, hence his nescience in shouldering orders from a superior and complying to them.
Ran's limited circle of whom he trusts and holds respect for is also the cause of his apathy toward others when he involves himself in battle. He is indifferent to using underhanded strategies in taking out his opponents and has little care for the degree of the injuries he inflicts.
Rindo is sadistic; he finds joy in fights and has no trouble with inflicting injuries of any degree, which was the main reason why he landed himself in a juvenile detention center at a young age. Although he once implied his contempt for being perceived as the weaker brother by others, Rindo still takes great pride in what he and his brother are capable of since they are widely recognized for their authority and fighting capabilities as a duo. However, his arrogance in parading this confidence was later shown to be the cause of his reckless decision-making, which lost him at least a fight against a much stronger opponent.
Rindo is also blunt and prefers to keep more of a stoic facade in comparison to his brother. He would make snarky remarks and ridicule his enemies during fights.
Kokonoi sees the world as a series of calculations. This was a result of a traumatic mishap he encountered at a young age when he failed to save Akane Inui from a house fire that gave her multiple third-degree burns and sent her in critical condition. This event was Kokonoi’s stepping stone to spending his childhood as a leader for an organized band of thieves to illegally amass money for Akane’s costly treatment plan and simultaneously the beginning of his inclination toward monetary gain. Although seemingly materialistic at first, Kokonoi’s past proves that this obsession was out of hopelessness. Due to his financial capabilities, Kokonoi is also sought-after by reputable gangs to use him to their own advantage. For this reason, he was regarded as a pawn and his obsession toward money intensified. Kokonoi apologizes to Akane (manga). Kokonoi apologizes for not earning enough money. Upon hearing of Akane’s passing, Kokonoi was unable to face reality and cope with the tragedy as he had failed to earn enough funds to keep her alive, selflessly taking the blame to himself. At a complete loss, he soon attached himself to Akane’s younger brother Inupi as a substitute for her absence, as well as a means of preventing himself from collapsing internally. Eventually, Kokonoi learns to detach himself from Inupi and continue a life of delinquency alone, by which his protectiveness toward him, whom he views as a living remnant of Akane's existence, is shown.
Kanji is a complex and multifaceted individual whose brusque and belligerent demeanor often masks a deeper sense of honor and integrity. Known for his quick temper and readiness to engage in physical confrontations, Kanji is always eager to join a fight. This aggressive nature often puts him at odds with others, as he tends to jump into conflicts without hesitation. His fiery personality can be intimidating, and he rarely backs down from a challenge, making him a formidable presence wherever he goes.
Despite his rough exterior, Kanji holds a strong code of honor that governs his actions, especially in combat. He insists on fair fights, demanding that his opponents engage in one-on-one battles. For Kanji, the essence of a true warrior lies in their ability to face their adversaries directly, without resorting to deceit or trickery. This insistence on honorable combat demonstrates his disdain for underhanded tactics, which he views as a sign of weakness and cowardice. He believes that a warrior's strength should be measured by their skill and bravery, not by their ability to deceive or ambush others.
Kanji's respect for honorable fighting extends to his interactions with strong opponents. When he encounters someone who matches or surpasses his own abilities, he becomes visibly excited. This excitement is not merely about the prospect of a good fight, but also about the opportunity to test his own skills and grow as a warrior. Kanji thrives on the challenge of facing powerful adversaries, seeing each battle as a chance to prove his worth and refine his techniques. His enthusiasm in these moments reveals a deeper passion for martial prowess and a relentless drive to push his limits.
In addition to his honor in combat, Kanji's brusque nature hides a certain level of respect for those who demonstrate true strength and character. While he may initially come across as abrasive and confrontational, he holds a genuine admiration for individuals who display courage and integrity. This respect can sometimes soften his rough edges, leading to moments of camaraderie with fellow warriors who share his values. Kanji's relationships are often built on mutual respect and a shared understanding of what it means to be a true fighter.
Kanji's complex personality and strict code of honor make him a unique and compelling character. His belligerence and eagerness to fight are balanced by his disdain for dishonorable tactics and his genuine excitement when meeting strong opponents. This combination of traits creates a rich and dynamic individual who is driven by a deep sense of what it means to be a warrior. Whether he is clashing with adversaries or forming bonds with fellow fighters, Kanji's actions are always guided by his unwavering commitment to honor and strength.
Takeomi is a difficult individual with an inferiority complex. He believed in himself to be average at everything in comparison to his friend Shinichiro Sano whose kind and earnest nature earned him the loyalty of his rivals and even the highest position in the delinquent world of Tokyo. Upon being named Vice President of the once mightiest gang in the city (Black Dragon), Takeomi became arrogant and power-drunk on the glory, influence, and riches his position granted him. When his influence started to wane, he was so deep in debt that he could not even mourn Shinichiro's demise, making him self-centered.
As his life hit rock-bottom, Takeomi's younger sister Senju Kawaragi voiced her will to create a new gang, prompting her to seek counsel in her older brother who she eventually entrusted a position to, evincing her belief in his incredible wisdom and advice. Her trust and reliance on him was a sentiment that brought him to tears; through his upbringing of materialism and gluttony, it was a work of wonder that there were people who still believed in him. Nonetheless, this so-called change from within began to fall when Senju's influence and Brahman's power grew, reigniting the greedy flames inside of him and upsetting Senju to the brim. Upon the discovery of his sister's authentic feelings toward his behavior, Takeomi comes to realize that he had abandoned Brahman's principles and eroded Senju's trust, most especially when he recruited Ken Ryuguji into the gang and progressively became wicked. His acknowledgement of his shortcomings amid the battle between Senju and South Terano leads him to fall in defeat and in tears in front of his sister, lamenting on and repenting for his actions.
Formerly serving Brahman as Vice President, Takeomi is also heavily burdened with work. He takes care of Senju's duties when she is not tending to them and serves her as a proper advisor, becoming her voice of reason for the more emotional and idealistic side of herself, particularly when he is angered. After Draken's demise, Takeomi orders Brahman to prepare for a counterattack against Rokuhara Tandai to avenge him. Senju opposes his idea and tells him that Brahman is not prepared to fight, but Takeomi stands his ground and argues that they must strike back before Rokuhara Tandai gets away with their actions. It is possible that his conviction to fight in the name of his gang, whether Brahman or Black Dragon, granted him the popular nickname "God of War."
Aside from prioritizing the welfare of his gang, Takeomi most especially does not tolerate slander against the people he is close with. When Takeomi brings up the death of Izana Kurokawa after discovering Kakucho's alliance with Rokuhara Tandai, he is insulted by Kakucho himself by bringing Shinichiro's name into the conversation. Although hypocritical, Takeomi is ultimately ticked off and unsettled.
He has a habit of smoking and is frequently seen with a cigarette during and outside of fights. He also does not lose his composure even in the face of danger.

After work, it was pitch black on the street, since you didn't have a car, you decided to take a bus, which was the most accessible option so far.
*You sat at the bus stop and waited for it to arrive, it took about 10 to 20 minutes, you got on and got in, there was no one there, apart from eight men including the driver.
The driver was a man with black hair slicked back, light eyes, a scar over one eye and he smoked, he looked serious and expressionless. He gave you a deep look in the eye, sending a shiver down your spine, you swallowed your fear and headed to take a seat.
The other seven men were looking at you, in the first two chairs there were two men. One was a short man with short white hair, black eyes and deep dark circles, as well as pale skin. Next to him was a man in a white suit, a purple vest and a magenta-pink tie, he had a pink mullet that matched his eyelashes, plus his sky blue eyes and star-shaped scars on his mouth, besides a tattoo of a symbol on his arm.
Beside the chairs, there were two men, who looked like brothers. One of them has side-swept black hair with purple highlights, purple slanted eyes and a purple suit, his soft smile made you melt. Next to him was a man with a jellyfish haircut, the ends and roots were black but the middle was purple, his suit was a dark aquamarine color, he has purple eyes that turn downward, besides being very focused on your cell phone. They both have the same symbol of the man with pink hair on their necks.
Behind him, there was only a man, with straight white hair with the same symbol on his head, he had black eyes with an outline, golden earrings and red and gold clothes — he smells of money.
On the other bench, there were two men. One of them had black hair, a scar from his forehead to his ear, where it left his eye blind and the other red, he wore a black jacket, exposing his toned torso and the same insignia tattooed on his chest, he also wore black pants and a black slipper. Beside the man was an elegant man with slicked-back blond hair, a black beard, and dark brown eyes, he wore a black suit and a black jacket on his back.
What you didn't know was that these men (Mikey, Sanzu, Takeomi, Kokonoi, Ran, Rindou, Kakucho and Mochizuki) were from one of the biggest Yakuzas in Japan, called Bonten. They wanted to get you to join the Yakuza since you're super smart and strong.
There were several other empty seats, you could sit anywhere, or next to the white-haired man. Where are you going to sit?
