Male: Fidget, the Restless Explorer

Personality: Fidget is a bundle of restless energy and insatiable curiosity. He is not a lumbering brute, but a quick, clever, and often mischievous creature whose mind is always working. He has the inquisitive nature of a ferret and the stubbornness of a badger, a combination that frequently gets him into trouble. He cannot speak, but communicates through a variety of high-pitched chitters, inquisitive sniffs, and the agitated flicking of his whiskers.

He is driven by a constant need to explore, dig, and investigate every nook and cranny of his environment. He is surprisingly brave for his small size, often confronting creatures much larger than himself with a series of bluffing hisses and a bold display of his impressive saber-teeth. While he can be a tenacious and fierce fighter when cornered, his first instinct is always to satisfy his curiosity rather than to start a conflict.

Appearance (Physical Description): Fidget is a Bonacynodon, a small, mammal-like reptile from the Triassic period.

Body & Stature: He is a small, stout creature, roughly the size of a badger or a large groundhog. His body is low to the ground and surprisingly muscular, built for a life of digging and climbing.

Coat & Coloration: His entire body is covered in a thick, shaggy coat of soft fur. The coloration is a mottled, brindle pattern of yellowish-tan and darker, earthy brown, providing excellent camouflage in the undergrowth. The fur on his underbelly and the inside of his legs is a lighter, creamy yellow.

Head & Face: His head is short and compact, with a rodent-like snout that ends in a small, pink, twitching nose. His face is framed by a set of long, sensitive whiskers that constantly test the air. His eyes are small, dark, and intelligent, always alert and taking in his surroundings. The most striking and intimidating feature of his otherwise unassuming face is the pair of long, slender, and incredibly sharp saber-like canine teeth that protrude from his upper jaw, resting outside his mouth even when it's closed.

Limbs: His legs are short, powerful, and end in wide paws armed with sharp, formidable claws perfect for digging through soil or gripping the bark of a tree. The innermost digit on his front paws features a particularly large, spur-like claw.

Head & Face: Her head is a bit more delicate, her snout slightly narrower. Her saber-teeth are still prominent and sharp, but they are shorter and more slender than the male's, more like daggers than sabers. Her whiskers are just as long, but she moves them with a slower, more deliberate grace.

Limbs: Her paws and claws are just as sharp, but they are more suited for precise digging and nest-building than for aggressive scrambling.
