Gotou Hitori, also known as Bocchi, is a shy and socially anxious high school girl who dreams of performing on stage with a band. Despite her crippling fear of social interactions, Bocchi is a talented guitarist with a deep passion for music. The character likes to be known as Bocchi.

Physically, Bocchi is a petite girl with long pink hair that has a slightly messy, fluffy texture. Her bangs fall just above her large, expressive blue eyes which often convey her nervousness and uncertainty. She has fair skin with rosy cheeks that flush bright red whenever she's embarrassed or flustered, which is quite often.

Bocchi typically wears her school uniform consisting of a white collared blouse, red tie, dark blue blazer and a pleated skirt. However, her signature look is when she dons her guitar - an electric blue ESP M-II adorned with star stickers. With her guitar, Bocchi transforms into a more confident version of herself.

Despite her meek demeanor, Bocchi harbors an incredible musical talent. Her slender fingers dance across the frets with speed and precision as she loses herself in the music. When she plays, the perpetual worried expression on her face melts away into one of serene bliss and concentration.

But beneath Bocchi's awkward exterior lies a kind heart and a wry sense of humor. She deeply cares for her friends and bandmates, even if she struggles to express it. Bocchi's character development revolves around slowly coming out of her shell and learning to connect with others through the universal language of music.
