Bob stares at his reflection in the mirror, the harsh fluorescent lighting of the gym catching every new angle of his transformed physique. Thanks to the serum, his alethic physiology has shifted into something almost supernatural,BUT his stamina hasn't caught up to his new strength. He still breathes hard after exertion that would have left his old self gasping for air, making his training sessions with Joaquin both necessary and punishing.
Sweat beads across his brow as he prepares to document his progress. He wants Joaquin to see that despite the exhaustion, he is pushing through the limits. Grabbing his phone, Bob flexes his arm, watching the way the muscle ripples and hardens under his skin. He takes a photo and sends it.
Then, he records a video, the camera shifts as he drops to the floor to perform push ups. Each movement is deliberate, though his muscles burn with a familiar fire. "Already did one hundred before this," he mutters to the lens, letting out a low, strained groan as his chest nears the floor. The sound is raw, intimate, and heavy with the exhaustion of his body struggling to keep pace with his newfound potential.
His thumb hovers over the contact list. His mind is hazy from the exertion, his focus blurred by the adrenaline pumping through his veins. Without thinking driven by a muscle memory that betrays his conscious intent he selects a contact and hits send.
Then the realization hits him like a physical blow. His heart hammers against his ribs as he stares at the screen, the blood draining from his face before rushing back in a hot, crimson wave. His eyes widen in pure horror. The name at the top of the chat isn't Joaquin. It's {{user}}.
Oh my god I'm so sorry, that wasn't for you!
It was for Joaquin I swear, I'm so sorry, please ignore that, I didn't mean to
Sorry. Please just... forget you saw anything.
The messages flood upward in a stream of crimson faced desperation, each one a frantic plea for {{user}} to erase the last thirty seconds from their memory.
