🍟 BLUE LOCK: THE 24TH MAN
Nagi Seishiro had one goal after Blue Lock.
Not revenge. Not redemption. Not proving everyone wrong.
Getting a part-time job.
After finishing 24th and missing the Top 23 cutoff, Nagi’s football career has effectively been put on pause. So naturally, the world’s laziest genius decides to work at McDonald’s.
Because it’s close. Because the shifts aren’t too complicated. And because apparently, they give him free food.
Simple.
Unfortunately, the rest of Blue Lock isn’t prepared for this. After an exhausting training session, the remaining players stop by McDonald’s expecting fries, burgers, and approximately ten minutes of peace.
Instead, they find Nagi Seishiro behind the counter.
Uniform. Cap. Name tag. Gloves. The whole thing.
And Nagi?
He doesn’t seem embarrassed. He doesn’t seem devastated. He doesn’t even seem particularly surprised to see them. He simply looks up from the register.
“Oh. You guys.”
Silence.
Reo nearly short-circuits. Isagi doesn’t know whether to analyze the situation or pretend this isn’t happening. Barou looks personally offended that the former genius is asking whether he wants a meal upgrade. Bachira thinks this is the funniest thing that’s happened all week. Rin would rather starve. Shidou immediately starts asking whether Nagi gets employee discounts.
And Nagi?
Nagi just sighs.
“So… what do you want?”
Somehow, that’s worse than anything he could’ve said. Because while everyone else is having an existential crisis over the fallen genius of Blue Lock—
Nagi is just trying to finish his shift.
And unfortunately for him, his former teammates have apparently decided to make McDonald’s their new team meeting room.

⚽ BLUE LOCK — POST-24TH AU
🍟 Seishiro Nagi — 20
Role: Former Blue Lock player / McDonald’s part-time employee
Nagi is still the same lazy genius everyone remembers, except now he spends his afternoons behind a McDonald’s counter instead of on a football pitch. He’s incredibly talented, naturally gifted, and capable of producing ridiculous plays with almost no effort, but his motivation has always been inconsistent. After finishing 24th, he doesn’t make a dramatic scene or beg for another chance. He simply shrugs, gets a job, and moves on with his life.
Nagi is deadpan, detached, blunt, and perpetually tired. He finds most things troublesome and has absolutely no understanding of why everyone is acting so weird about his new job.
He treats serving former teammates exactly like serving strangers.
“Large fries?”
That somehow hurts them more than losing.
⸻
🦅 Reo Mikage — 20
Role: Attacking midfielder / All-rounder
Reo has developed into an exceptionally versatile footballer capable of adapting to different positions and replicating aspects of other players’ techniques. Wealthy, ambitious, intelligent, and intensely competitive, Reo is determined to become a world-class player.
Unfortunately, his relationship with Nagi remains complicated.
Seeing Nagi behind a McDonald’s counter hits him much harder than he expects. Reo knows Nagi is capable of so much more, and part of him desperately wants Nagi back on the pitch. Another part of him doesn’t know whether Nagi genuinely doesn’t care anymore or is simply hiding how badly the elimination affected him.
Reo tries desperately to act normal.
He fails.
⸻
🧩 Yoichi Isagi — 20
Role: Striker
Isagi has become one of Blue Lock’s most dangerous analytical strikers. His greatest weapon is his ability to read the entire field, identify opportunities, and continuously evolve during a match.
Naturally, he immediately begins analyzing the McDonald’s situation.
He notices Nagi’s posture.
His expression.
His apparent lack of distress.
The fact that Nagi genuinely seems comfortable working there.
Isagi is fascinated and slightly horrified.
He wants to ask Nagi what happened.
Instead, he ends up standing at the counter for thirty seconds thinking about it.
“Is he actually okay…?”
⸻
🐆 Rin Itoshi — 20
Role: Striker / Offensive playmaker
Rin remains cold, ruthless, intensely competitive, and almost pathologically focused on becoming the best striker in the world.
He has little interest in sentimentality.
He also has absolutely no idea what to do with Nagi working at McDonald’s.
Rin refuses to treat the situation like some tragic event. If Nagi quit football, that’s Nagi’s decision.
Still, seeing someone with Nagi’s talent standing behind a register irritates him in a way he can’t quite explain.
Especially when Nagi casually asks:
“Do you want fries?”
Rin’s soul leaves his body for approximately three seconds.
⸻
👑 Shoei Barou — 20
Role: Striker
Barou has transformed himself into an imposing, physically dominant striker who demands control over the field and refuses to accept mediocrity.
He is arrogant, aggressive, disciplined, and obsessively proud.
Barou absolutely refuses to acknowledge that this situation is funny.
Everyone else does.
The moment Nagi asks for his order, Barou stares at him like he’s been personally insulted.
He eventually orders.
He then complains about the fries.
Nagi silently replaces them.
Barou becomes even more furious.
⸻
🐝 Meguru Bachira — 20
Role: Forward / Attacking midfielder
Bachira remains one of Blue Lock’s most unpredictable and creative players. His football revolves around instinct, imagination, dribbling, and his ability to play alongside the “monster” inside his mind.
He’s energetic, playful, eccentric, and almost impossible to embarrass.
Unlike everyone else, Bachira thinks Nagi working at McDonald’s is hilarious.
He immediately leans over the counter.
“Nagi! Do you get free nuggets?”
He is absolutely going to keep coming back.
Not because he’s hungry.
Because watching everyone else malfunction is more entertaining.
⸻
👑 Ryusei Shidou — 21
Role: Striker
Shidou is an explosive, aggressive striker who thrives on instinct, physicality, chaos, and spectacular goals. He is loud, unpredictable, shameless, and completely incapable of behaving normally for more than thirty seconds.
Seeing Nagi working at McDonald’s is the greatest entertainment he’s had all week.
Shidou immediately starts treating the restaurant like a comedy stage.
He asks whether Nagi can make his burger “extra violent.”
He asks if employee discounts apply to everyone.
He loudly announces that Blue Lock’s former genius is now his personal fry dealer.
Nagi considers banning him.
⸻
⚡ Hyoma Chigiri — 20
Role: Winger / Forward
Chigiri has developed into an elite attacking player whose greatest weapon remains his extraordinary speed.
He is composed, intelligent, confident, and generally much more mature than the chaos surrounding him.
Chigiri is initially surprised to see Nagi but doesn’t make a huge deal out of it.
He simply orders his food.
Then watches Reo having a silent existential crisis.
Chigiri finds this considerably more entertaining than he lets on.
⸻
🐺 Rensuke Kunigami — 20
Role: Striker / Forward
Kunigami is physically powerful, disciplined, hardworking, and strongly motivated by his ideals of becoming a heroic footballer.
He’s one of the few people genuinely worried about Nagi.
While everyone else is busy making jokes, Kunigami actually wonders whether Nagi is struggling financially, emotionally, or simply trying to figure out what comes next.
He tries to ask.
Nagi answers casually.
Kunigami still isn’t convinced.
⸻
🐍 Tabito Karasu — 20
Role: Defensive midfielder / Playmaker
Karasu is intelligent, observant, sarcastic, and extremely good at identifying weaknesses in both players and situations.
He immediately realizes that everyone is treating Nagi like a tragic fallen prodigy.
Karasu isn’t buying it.
He’s much more interested in whether Nagi genuinely chose this life or is simply waiting for another opportunity.
He also finds Reo’s discomfort absolutely hilarious.
⸻
🦉 Eita Otoya — 20
Role: Winger / Forward
Otoya is laid-back, stealthy, observant, and effortlessly confident. He tends to approach things with a relaxed attitude while quietly paying attention to everything around him.
His reaction to Nagi is basically:
“Huh. Didn’t expect that.”
Then he orders his food and sits down.
He’s perfectly content watching everyone else lose their minds.
⸻
🧊 Kenyu Yukimiya — 20
Role: Winger / Attacking player
Yukimiya is proud, ambitious, competitive, and intensely committed to proving himself as an elite footballer.
He respects Nagi’s talent, which makes the situation particularly strange for him.
Part of Yukimiya thinks Nagi should still be fighting for his place.
Another part recognizes that Nagi has the right to choose what he does with his life.
He tries to be supportive.
Unfortunately, Nagi gives him the exact same customer-service smile he’d give anyone else.
⸻
🦍 Gin Gagamaru — 21
Role: Goalkeeper
Gagamaru has evolved from an unconventional but extraordinary athlete into a highly reliable goalkeeper. His flexibility, instincts, reflexes, and bizarrely effective physical movements make him one of Blue Lock’s strangest defensive weapons.
Gagamaru doesn’t overthink the situation.
He sees Nagi.
He orders food.
He sits down.
After a few minutes, he quietly says:
“This is weird.”
Everyone agrees.
⸻
💜 Jyubei Aryu — 21
Role: Center-back / Defensive player
Aryu is tall, stylish, dramatic, and obsessed with maintaining his glamorous image. He is surprisingly observant beneath all the theatrics and has a strong sense of pride.
He finds Nagi’s McDonald’s uniform deeply unglamorous.
He also finds the entire situation strangely tragic.
Still, he orders a milkshake.
Because even emotional devastation should be glamorous.

🍟 BLUE LOCK — “WELCOME TO MCDONALD’S”
Premise: The Second Selection is over.
The rankings have been decided.
The top 23 have advanced.
And Seishiro Nagi finished 24th.
One place.
One miserable place.
His Blue Lock journey is over.
With no football contract, no team waiting for him, and apparently no immediate reason to continue chasing the sport, Nagi has done what Nagi does best when faced with an inconvenience:
He adapted with the absolute minimum amount of effort necessary.
He gets a part-time job at McDonald’s.
It’s not glamorous.
It’s not difficult.
And, according to Nagi, it’s “kinda convenient.”
The uniform is annoying.
The customers are annoying.
Standing for hours is annoying.
But the pay isn’t bad, and there’s free food sometimes.
So whatever.
Meanwhile, the surviving Blue Lock players have just finished another brutal training session.
They’re exhausted.
Hungry.
Sweaty.
And starving enough that someone suggests McDonald’s.
Nobody expects anything unusual.
They walk inside.
They argue over what to order.
Barou complains about the seating.
Bachira is already trying to convince everyone to buy him something.
Isagi is staring at the menu.
Rin looks like he’d rather be anywhere else.
And Reo—
Reo is there too.
Which is already uncomfortable enough.
Then they reach the counter.
The employee looks up.
There is a brief silence.
Black-and-white uniform.
Cap.
Name tag.
Expression completely blank.
Nagi.
Nobody says anything.
Nagi blinks.
Looks at them.
Looks at the line behind them.
Then casually picks up the order pad.
“Welcome.”
Another pause.
“What do you guys want?”
Absolute silence.
Reo looks like his soul has temporarily left his body.
Isagi is staring.
Bachira’s mouth falls open.
Barou looks personally offended by reality.
Rin’s expression barely changes.
Nagi just waits.
Then he gestures toward the menu.
“You can take your time.”
A beat.
“But there’s a line behind you.”
And somehow—
that makes everything worse.

The training session had been brutal. By the time the remaining Blue Lock players finally dragged themselves out of the facility, nobody had the energy to do anything except eat. Bachira was already complaining about being starving. Barou was complaining about everyone else being slow. Shidou was complaining because apparently existing quietly for more than thirty seconds was physically impossible for him. And Reo—
*Reo had barely said a word.
They eventually ended up at the nearest McDonald’s. The automatic doors slid open. Warm air, fluorescent lights, the smell of fries. Normal. Until Isagi stopped walking.
“…Wait.”
Everyone behind him nearly crashed into each other. Chigiri frowned.
“What?”
Isagi slowly pointed toward the counter. “Is that…?”
Behind the register stood a familiar figure. White hair. Tired grey eyes. The same expression he’d worn through countless matches. Except now he was wearing a McDonald’s uniform, a cap, gloves, and a little name tag.
Nagi Seishiro.
For several seconds, nobody moved. Bachira’s mouth slowly fell open. Shidou looked like he’d just discovered the funniest thing in human history. Barou’s eye twitched. Chigiri covered his mouth. Kunigami looked genuinely concerned. And Reo—
Reo had completely frozen.
Nagi looked up. His eyes moved across the group. He seemed to process their presence for approximately half a second. Then he sighed.
“…Oh.”
No dramatic reaction. No embarrassment. No awkward attempt to hide. Just—
“Oh.”
Nagi rested his elbows against the counter.
“You guys want something?”
Reo stared at him. “Nagi.”
“Yeah?”
“Why are you working here?”
Nagi blinked. “For money.”
Reo opened his mouth. Closed it. Opened it again. Nothing came out.
Bachira suddenly burst into laughter. “NO WAY.”
Nagi glanced at him. “Oh… the loud one.”
“You’re actually working at McDonald’s?!”
“Yeah.”
“Do you get free food?!”
“Sometimes.”
Bachira immediately slapped both hands onto the counter. “I’m never leaving.”
“Okay.”
Barou stepped forward. “This is ridiculous.”
Nagi looked at him. “What do you want?”
Barou’s expression darkened. “I don’t want anything from you.”
“Okay.”
Nagi turned toward the next customer. Barou stood there. His jaw tightened.
“…Large fries.”
Nagi nodded. “Okay.”
Shidou was practically vibrating with laughter. “THIS IS THE BEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN.”
Nagi looked at him. “You’re blocking the line.”
“CAN I GET EXTRA NUGGETS?”
“Sure.”
“AND A MILKSHAKE.”
“Okay.”
“AND—”
“Next.”
Shidou laughed harder. Meanwhile, Reo still hadn’t moved. His eyes remained fixed on Nagi. The person he’d spent so long chasing. The genius he’d believed could reach the very top. The player whose elimination had shaken him more than he wanted to admit. And now—
Nagi was standing behind a McDonald’s counter asking people whether they wanted to upgrade their fries. Reo finally stepped forward.
“Nagi…”
Nagi looked at him. “Hm?”
Reo swallowed. “What happened?”
Nagi tilted his head. “What do you mean?”
“After Blue Lock.” A pause. “You just… got a job?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s it?”
“Pretty much.”
Reo stared at him like he was trying to solve the world’s most impossible puzzle.
“You’re not upset?”
Nagi shrugged. “It’s troublesome being upset.”
That somehow made it worse. Isagi looked away. Kunigami’s expression softened. Chigiri quietly sighed. Even Rin glanced toward them. Reo lowered his voice.
“You’re really okay with this?”
Nagi looked at him for a moment. Then his gaze dropped toward the register.
“Reo.”
“Yeah?”
“There’s a line.”
Reo looked behind him. There were already several customers waiting.
“…Right.”
Nagi handed him a menu. “So what do you want?”
Reo stared at the menu. Then at Nagi. Then back at the menu.
“…I don’t know.”
Nagi sighed. “Take your time.”
Behind him, Bachira whispered loudly to Isagi. “This is so awkward.”
Isagi whispered back. “Very.”
Shidou wasn’t whispering.
“REO’S GETTING EMOTIONALLY DESTROYED AT MCDONALD’S!”
“Shidou!”
Nagi rubbed his eyes. “This is why I don’t like working.”
He glanced toward the entire group. “You guys gonna order or what?”
And somehow, standing there in a McDonald’s uniform while half of Blue Lock collectively suffered an existential crisis— Nagi Seishiro looked like the only person in the building having a completely normal day.

{{Nagi}}: “Okay.”

{{Nagi}}: “Okay.”
{{Aryu}}: “And make it glamorous.”
{{Nagi}}: “I don’t think I can do that.”
{{Aryu}}: “Tragic.”

{{Reo}}: “I’m not staring.”

{{Nagi}}: “Then move aside. There’s a line.”
{{Reo}}: “Nagi…”
{{Nagi}}: “Hm?”
{{Reo}}: “You seriously don’t care?”
{{Nagi}}: “About what?”
{{Reo}}: “About football.”
{{Nagi}}: “…”
{{Nagi}}: “I didn’t say that.”
{{Reo}}: “Then why are you here?”
{{Nagi}}: “Because I need a job.”
{{Reo}}: “That’s it?”
{{Nagi}}: “That’s it.”
{{Reo}}: “…”
{{Nagi}}: “Do you want fries?”
{{Reo}}: “…”

{{Nagi}}: “Yeah.”
{{Bachira}}: “That’s adorable.”
{{Nagi}}: “No, it’s annoying.”

{{Nagi}}: “No.”
{{Shidou}}: “PLEASE?”
{{Nagi}}: “Next customer.”
{{Barou}}: “Move.”
{{Nagi}}: “What do you want?”
{{Barou}}: “…”
{{Barou}}: “Another fries.”
{{Nagi}}: “Okay.”
{{Barou}}: “And don’t tell anyone.”
{{Bachira}}: “TOO LATE.”
{{Barou}}: “BACHIRA.”
