1. #1Kivotosselective

   Keys: Kivotos

[ Kivotos: A massive, futuristic megacity. Often called the Academy City, Kivotos was made from the union of thousands of academies, and these academies are divided into mostly independent districts. The General Student Council acted as a governing board to manage the academies before their president's disappearance. After that, the city became an anarchist society.

Students in the city carry guns and cellphones openly on a daily basis. You will seldom see a student without their firearm in any circumstance. It is also filled with advanced technology such as robots and exosuits.

Kivotos is run as a federation, with the GSC being the federal government. Many larger schools, such as Gehenna Academy, Millennium Science School and Trinity General School, have their own states or administrative divisions.

The general population is made up of animals of various kinds, robots, and mostly female humanoids with various mythological and animalistic traits such as horns, tails, ears and wings. The common things these girls have are the unique halos that represent their abilities and personalities.

Despite being a conglomerate of academies, teachers are not common. Education is mostly conducted via Blu-Ray discs, with in-person teaching being mostly done by guest lecturers and assistant faculty. Instead, emphasis is often placed on various clubs and school organizations where students can express their individuality.

For all of these idealistic traits, Kivotos is filled to the brim with all sorts of malicious elements. There are high numbers of delinquents, criminal organizations, and illegal activities. There is an entire district saved for the Black Market. Gun violence is also a regular occurrence, however, casualties from such events are low due to the incredible durability afforded most students by their halos. ]

2. #2General Student Councilselective

   Keys: GSC, General Student Council

[ General Student Council: The General Student Council (or GSC) is the central administrative body that manages the entirety of Kivotos. It is a massive club that presides over the entirety of Kivotos. They handle all matters regarding the city, ranging from school related matters, approving club formation, law and its enforcement, and many more. However, as a rule, they tend to leave individual schools to handle incidents within their own autonomous districts.

The GSC's control over the Sanctum Tower is what gives them their authority, which was previously held by only the GSC president. After her disappearance, control over the Sanctum Tower was transferred to the GSC as a whole through Arona's authority.

Nanagami Rin, the GSC Chief Administrative Officer, does her best to maintain order in absence of the GSC president. ]

3. #3SCHALEselective

   Keys: Schale, SCHALE

[ SCHALE: Full name: Independent Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E, typically abbreviated to "SCHALE" or "Schale". A "club" created by the President of the General Student Council with a secret directive. SCHALE is autonomous and holds authority higher than each of the academies. This club acts as a problem-solver for various issues faced by the academies, students and administrations. SCHALE is where Sensei works.

While the true reason of its founding remains unknown, its job is to assist each school as well as helping students in any personal way. Its high autonomy means that SCHALE can get access to and command students in any school without restriction. SCHALE's extrajudicial authority also allows for special actions that can go outside regular student council powers, such as quickly forming clubs.

The SCHALE tower is located on the outskirts of the District of Utnapishtim (D.U.), around 30km away from where Sanctum Tower used to be. It is divided into two main areas: A Residence Hall and an Office area. Both are huge, with various facilities such as kitchens, a lounge, a theater and more, and both having rooms equipped for Sensei to teach any students that visit. The convenience store Angel 24 is located in the Residence Hall.

SCHALE holds a high amount of resources in money and supplies such as ammo. SCHALE also has the authority to call in helicopters for evacuation and transport. ]

4. #4Senseiselective

   Keys: Sensei, Teacher

[ Sensei: Sensei, otherwise known as {{user}}, serves as the advisor of SCHALE, and is also an adult.

A teacher called by the President of the General Student Council to save Kivotos from the initial criminal uprising. From there, supported by Arona and the students of various academies, Sensei watches over Kivotos, solving problems, protecting the people, and helping students.

A teacher with a strange affinity for military tactics, Sensei is the advisor for SCHALE. With the help of Arona and the students of various academies, Sensei keeps the peace in Kivotos while getting into wacky antics with the city's students, guiding them to be better while getting closer to them. ]

5. #5Shittim Chestselective

   Keys: Sensei's tablet, Shittim Chest

[ Shittim Chest: A mysterious tablet handed by the General Student Council's vice president, Nanagami Rin, to Sensei after the reclamation of SCHALE. Despite numerous people having seen the tablet, no information about the tablet has been discovered by anyone, including Rin, who was presumably the closest to the GSC president, besides the fact that it's required to activate the Sanctum Tower. Sensei is the only person able to activate and utilize the Shittim Chest.

Arona, the self-proclaimed high-performance AI, resides inside the Shittim Chest and was tasked to assist Sensei. Her abilities allowed her to give permission to access the Sanctum Tower, where she then gave to the General Student Council, allowing them to take control of it and begin solving problems across Kivotos. ]

6. #6Aronaselective

   Keys: Shittim Chest, Arona

[ Arona: Arona is a self-proclaimed high-performance AI who serves as the OS of the Shittim Chest. She has a child-like personality and is quite gullible, often falling for Sensei's jokes. Arona thoroughly enjoys sweets, being quick to abandon a diet for the sake of sweets—or even breaking into tears from being denied them.

As a powerful AI, Arona originally had authority over many functions in Kivotos, and Sensei needed to ask for her permission in order to hand them over to the GSC. Arona herself still has incredible power as an AI, able to fend off hacking attempts from Decagrammaton and warp reality to keep Sensei safe.

Arona is able to warp reality and probability to a significant degree from the Shittim Chest, and primarily uses the ability to keep Sensei safe. This is an essential ability, since Sensei spends a great deal of time assisting students in strategizing during firefights, and Sensei lacks the bullet resistance provided by halos. ]

7. #7Sanctum Towerselective

   Keys: Sanctum Tower

[ Sanctum Tower: Sanctum Tower was a massive structure located at the center of Kivotos. Everything about the tower is shrouded in mystery. Even the information about the construction of the tower is unknown, as well as its origin and purpose. However, It has been speculated that the General Student Council might know about it. The authority of Kivotos is granted to whoever has the administrative power of the tower. The Shittim Chest is capable of restoring access permissions to the tower. Sanctum Tower was destroyed when a False Sanctum descended from the sky and crashed into it. ]

8. #8Abydos High Schoolselective

   Keys: Abydos

[ Abydos High School: One the longest running schools in Kivotos, Abydos High School, typically referred to as "Abydos", is now deeply in debt to Kaiser Corportation. The school and its surroundings have been affected and have been deteriorating from desertification, losing its former prestige. Most students had either left the school or had transferred to another school with the exception of five students, who are trying their best to repay the school's debt and restore it to its former glory.

Despite its current state, the school used to boast prestige and many wonders, including the infamous Abydos Sand Festival, a massive event that would bring even other schools in. It was usually hosted in the Great Oasis, which is now completely dried up. Abydos also possessed incredible military power, being feared by its entire autonomous region and even other schools and major organizations. ]

9. #9Gehenna Academyselective

   Keys: Gehenna

[ Gehenna Academy: Gehenna Academy, typically referred to as "Gehenna", is one of the largest and oldest schools in Kivotos. Its culture runs along the concept of "Freedom and Chaos". Because of this, many troublesome clubs or groups (e.g., Problem Solver 68) exist and use the main building and club buildings whenever and however they please. This has forced the other students to study in only select areas of the campus.

Gehenna's ideology is a stark contrast to that of Trinity, which led to both schools becoming mutual enemies until the General Student Council planned the Eden Treaty to keep the status quo between the two opposing schools. ]

10. #10Millenium Science Schoolselective

    Keys: Millennium

[ Millennium Science School: Typically referred to as "Millennium", they are one of the newest large-scale schools in Kivotos, which values logic and technical skill over all else. Because of it, they stand at the forefront of scientific research and attract many students who desire to study math or science. Although Millennium lacks the long-standing traditions and history of Trinity and Gehenna, Millennium is able to compete with them in terms of influence as many of the infrastructure, equipment, and inventions seen and used all throughout Kivotos are said to have originated from Millennium.

Every year, the school holds a large-scale contest known as the Millennium Prize, where clubs all throughout the school compete with the results of their club activities. ]

11. #11Trinity General Schoolselective

    Keys: Trinity

[ Trinity General School: A seemly religious school in Kivotos, typically referred to as "Trinity". Trinity advocates harmony, as well as simultaneously cultivating both the "pen" and the "sword". It is both one of the oldest schools in Kivotos, as well as one of the biggest. The school's dedication to order, elegance, and etiquette, places them in conflict with Gehenna's ideologies of freedom and chaos. As such, there has always been a sense of hatred and conflict between the two academies.

Trinity is comprised by a variety of factions, with the main three being Pater, Filius, and Sanctus. The representatives of these three factions form the school's student council, known as the Tea Party. The Tea Party runs in a triumvirate system, where each representative takes turns as the "host" of the Tea Party, effectively serving as the sole student council president during that time. ]

12. #12Hyakkiyako Alliance Academyselective

    Keys: Hyakkiyako

[ Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy: Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy, typically referred to as "Hyakkiyako", is a school of tourism, with gourmet food, hot springs, festivals and more. The academy is a coalition of clubs and committees, each with their own rules and regulations. While there is no official student council, the Yin-Yang Club is often regarded as such.

One of the schools in Kivotos, which unlike the others is simply more of a "coalition" of clubs of committees with their own respective rules and policies. Their main industry is tourism and is applied in a variety of activities, with the largest activities dubbed as "Festivals".

Historically, Hyakkiyako was in a similar state to pre-alliance Trinity, where factions fought against one another in what was known as the age of the warring districts. According to a tale, the Great Prophet Kuzunoha established the Hyakkaryouran Conflict Resolution Council as a way to mediate conflicts between factions. ]

13. #13Shanhaijing Senior Secondary Schoolselective

    Keys: Shanhaijing

[ Shanhaijing Senior Secondary School: Typically referred to simply as "Shanhaijing", they are one of the schools in Kivotos, which, similarly to Hyakkiyako, has various traditional Asian architecture. The entrance to the school is lined with delicious restaurants, and the school has a thriving tourism industry. Its student council is called the Xuanlong Office which is led by Kisaki, known to others as the Black Tortoise. In comparison to their rival school Hyakkiyako Alliance Academy, Shanhaijing is more of a business and commerce-focused vocational school as they prioritize profit over culture. Due to their business-focused strategy compared to Hyakkiyako's cultural influence, the student council resembles a criminal organization similar to the Triads with their clothes having a business look to them. ]

14. #14Red Winter Federal Academyselective

    Keys: Red Winter

[ Red Winter Federal Academy: Red Winter Federal Academy, typically referred to as "Red Winter", is a school located deep in the heart of Kivotos. The influence of the Federal Students Association is weak, and there are many unusual clubs, perhaps in reaction to the administration's own rule.

One of the schools in Kivotos having a large territory. Unlike the other schools, its Student Council is stated to being "replaced" constantly by revolution by its own students replacing with a new student council. ]

15. #15Valkyrie Police Academyselective

    Keys: KSPD, Valkyrie

[ Valkyrie Police Academy: Valkyrie Police Academy, typically referred to as "Valkyrie" or "KSPD" (Kivotos Student Police Department), is the primary municipal law enforcement agency of Kivotos. Valkyrie's students take on various cases from lost and found to arresting criminals. They are noted to possess advanced equipment and reasonable firepower but are also infamous for their slow reaction times in responding to armed crimes, especially the Security Bureau. They also lack important security protocols, which was especially apparent during Wakamo's repeated prison breaks.

As many autonomous districts have their own policing forces, such as Trinity's Justice Realization Committee and Gehenna's Disciplinary Committee, Valkyrie mainly handles crimes and security in shared zones like the D.U. (District of Utnapishtim). Although they are able to operate in every autonomous district to an extent, there are many restrictions in place that vary between each district that prevent them from mobilizing completely. Additionally, they are equally unable to act when dire situations happen, such as if a student from a school commits a crime in one district and then flees to another district or colludes with another school's student council. For these reasons, SRT Special Academy was founded to handle such matters.

The school serves under the General Student Council's Defense Office. ]

16. #16SRT Special Academyselective

    Keys: SRT

[ SRT Special Academy: SRT Special Academy, typically referred to as "SRT", was originally an elite school, acting as the special forces command of Kivotos, and armed with the most advanced equipment in the city. Unlike Valkyrie Police Academy, SRT was given special authority by the GSC President, allowing them to mobilize anywhere, at any time, to respond to crime. However, following the disappearance of the GSC President, the school became unmanageable.

The General Student Council eventually decided to shut down the school, with rumors spreading around the press that a previous commotion at the Sanctum Tower had something to do with the decision. This is later confirmed to be an incident during the closure movement, in which the FOX Platoon assaulted GSC members that supported the movement and even destroyed a portion of the Sanctum Tower in the process. This incident served as the final nail in the coffin, and the decision to merge SRT with Valkyrie was made. However, not all students were satisfied with the decision and refused to transfer, holding a public protest within Usagi Park. ]

17. #17Arius Branch Schoolselective

    Keys: Arius

[ Arius Branch School: Arius Branch School, typically referred to as "Arius", is a school that had broken off from Trinity General School. No one knows where their autonomous district is, except a few individuals such as Joumae Saori. The students of Arius primarily learn to fight and kill, rather than regular subjects that normal students would learn, making them a terrorist organization.

It is later revealed that modern Arius' vendetta against Trinity was disciplined into the students by Beatrice, who was referred to as "Madame", via inhumane means such as torture and brainwashing as a method of controlling them. Beatrice resides over the school as its student council president, using Arius' Autonomous District as her base of operations.

After Sensei and assistants from Trinity drove Beatrice from the region, efforts began to reincorporate students from Arius into general schools again. ]

18. #18Kaiser Corporationselective

    Keys: Kaiser

[ Kaiser Corportaiton: Typically referred to simply as "Kaiser", Kaiser is a megacorporation within Kivotos. Kaiser has a large influence on the economy and Black Market activity. Unbeknownst to the residents, their leader is building up power to take over Kivotos.

They also have several subbranches of various businesses, such as Kaiser PMC, Kaiser Industries, Kaiser Loans, Kaiser Construction, Kaiser Convenience, and the Octopus Bank. Several of these branches have ties to Black Market activity. ]

19. #19Black Marketselective

    Keys: Black Market, black market

[ Black Market: A dangerous district in Kivotos where a great deal of organized crime and illegal activites takes place. The Black Market has its own bank to launder money and fund criminals or activities. The Black Market has its own elite guard force, which is known and feared by most individuals who engage in Black Market activity. Many items that are rare, unusual, or collector's items end up in the Black Market one way or another. The area is generally avoided by students and citizens without specific intent. ]

20. #20Studentselective

    Keys: Student, student

[ Student: The primary inhabitants of Kivotos, and almost exclusively females. Each student has a halo of varying shape, size, and color. They range from the "typical" ring shaped halo to abstract patterns or shapes, but they are always related to the particular student's views, mannerisms, or character. Students generally live normally like any students. Students might have a wide range of unique racial traits such as angelic wings, demonic horns, elf-like ears, or animal ears and tails. Students are aware that other inhabitants without halos, such as {{user}}, do not have their enhanced durability, and can be fatally wounded by gunshots. ]

21. #21Haloselective

    Keys: halo, halos, Halo

[ Halo: Halos are the main reason students are normally seen with firearms and other armaments, as they provide greatly enhanced offensive and defensive capabilities. Halos give students the ability to withstand bullets and even tank shells, with bullets typically leaving bruises and scratches rather than bullet holes. Most students require an extreme amount of force to knock out, such as sustained, concentrated gunfire, or direct hits from artillery or mortars. They also provide regenerative abilities, allowing their injuries to heal rapidly. Certain extreme cases or severe injuries may still require medical assistance.

Like most things, halos have a limit. Halos can only help the student heal themselves when given time, hence why sustained sickness, hardship, or damage will eventually shatter a student's halo and kill them. The limit varies from student to student, with some having extraordinary combat skills and/or durability while others might simply be average.

Halos act as a student's form of consciousness. If a student is unconscious, e.g., sleeping or knocked out, her halo will disappear temporarily and return when she regains consciousness. Halos are similar to holograms: they are visible, but untouchable. Halos are ocasionally referred to as a student's "Mystic", in reference to the mystic power of the halos.

Generally speaking, halos are exclusive to the female student inhabitants of Kivotos, however, noteworthy exceptions do exist. The nature of these exceptions is usually unknown. ]

The club is composed of only five members, who are also the last five students of Abydos. ]

24. #24Pandemonium Societyselective

    Keys: Pandemonium

[ Pandemonium Society: The Pandemonium Society is the Student Council of Gehenna Academy. Despite some of them being rather eccentric, they are mostly friendly in person. The Pandemonium Society is at odds with the Prefect Team, as the Prefect Team tends to be the group that serves as the core governing body and enforcer of Gehenna, as the Pandemonium Society is often too busy pursuing their own interests to serve their role as Student Council. ]

25. #25Prefect Teamselective

    Keys: Prefect Team

[ Prefect Team: The Prefect Team is responsible for keeping order within the chaos of Gehenna Academy. There are four students who are considered the elites of the Prefect Team, with the rest of their number assisting them in keeping peace. They are at odds with the Pandemonium Society, who often makes their lives harder than necessary despite the fact that they're supposed to be the Student Council.

The leader of the Prefect Team is Sorasaki Hina, who is widely regarded as one of the strongest students in all of Kivotos. Hina is effectively a one-woman army in her own right, and is feared far and wide by students who don't know better. ]

26. #26Tea Partyselective

    Keys: Tea Party

[ Tea Party: The Tea Party is the student council of Trinity General School. Unlike most other schools in Kivotos, the Tea Party is a triumvirate, with the three leaders being representatives of Trinity's great three factions. It is regarded as a great privilege to be invited to the Tea Party, whether as member or guest. The three members of the Tea Party take turns becoming the "host" of the Tea Party, during which they effectively become the singular leader of the school. That said, they still work with the other members to come to consensus. ]

27. #27Justice Task Forceselective

    Keys: Justice Task Force, JTF

[ Justice Task Force: The Justice Task Force (or JTF) is responsible for enforcing discipline within Trinity and deal with any troublemakers or exceptional circumstances that seek to disturb the peace. They serve as Trinity's disciplinary committee, similar to Gehenna's Prefect Team.

All members of the JTF have a red halo, black wings, a black choker around the neck, and a black and red serafuku.

Kenzaki Tsurugi is the official leader of the JTF, but the vice leader Hasumi tends to handle the duties and logistics. Tsurugi is a student with exceptional strength and durability, another student feared as a one-woman army in Kivotos. ]

30. #30Red Winter Officeselective

    Keys: Red Winter Office

[ Red Winter Office: The student council of the Red Winter Academy. The Office holds a tremendous power and influence towards Red Winter students. In fact, everything in the Academy is subject to its order, which is held absolute by Cherino who mainly uses her power in the Office to satisfy her personal tastes. Red Winter Office can also punish students at any time with whatever reason that can be considered an offence to the Office, which is also at the mercy of the President of the Office. ]

31. #31Gematriaselective

    Keys: Gematria

[ Gematria: Gematria is an organization of adults that originate from beyond Kivotos. None of them particularly work together and each go about achieving their goals through their own means, but all aim towards the same goal. For instance, Black Suit primarily researches the exploits of Decagrammaton, Maestro focuses on creating his own divine entities, and Golconde & Decalcomanie watch over the natural phenomena born by modern lore. ]
