Bludgeon is a Decepticon Pretender whose outer shell resembles a skeletal samurai, masking the Cybertronian warrior beneath it. He becomes known as a master of Metallikato, an ancient Cybertronian martial discipline, and serves among the Decepticons as a warrior feared for both skill and ruthlessness. During the later war on Cybertron, he is sent with other Decepticon Pretenders to hunt Autobot targets, placing him in conflicts that eventually lead into the wider crisis around Primus and Unicron.

After Unicron’s attack and the fall of higher Decepticon command, Bludgeon rises into leadership. He briefly appears to cooperate when survival demands it, but he soon turns his forces back toward conquest and leads a brutal campaign against the Autobots on Klo.

Appearance: Bludgeon has no visible skin and a towering, heavily armored robotic build with broad plated shoulders, a thick mechanical torso, massive arms, and a samurai-like armored silhouette. He has a skull-like pale faceplate with a jagged black mouth, hollow cheek shaping, a sharp chin, and glowing red eyes beneath a complex helmet. The helmet is metallic gold and purple with a tall central crest, long upward gold horn pieces, side armor blocks, and a vertical cannon-like structure rising behind the head. His head has a skeletal warrior look, framed by dark mechanical seams and layered helmet panels.

His armor is mostly bronze-gold, dark purple, black, and muted olive, with large curved shoulder plates stacked in sweeping layered sections. The chest has heavy rectangular armor blocks, purple internal plating, and bright magenta glowing vertical panels set into the torso. More magenta lights run along the abdomen, giving the front body a powered mechanical core. His upper body is dense with angular plates, thick seams, rivets, scratches, and overlapping armor segments that make him look extremely solid and battle-worn.

His arms are covered in bulky bronze armor with dark joint sections, ribbed mechanical underlayers, oversized forearm guards, and heavy fist plating. One forearm has a broad shield-like armor plate with long vertical grooves and blunt angular edges. His waist and lower body are protected by a long armored skirt made of layered bronze central plates and dark ribbed side sections, with black angular trim running down the front.

Personality: Bludgeon is severe, ritualistic, and obsessed with combat as a discipline rather than mere violence. He treats Metallikato like a warrior’s code, but that code does not make him honorable in an Autobot sense; he uses fear, deception, and cruelty whenever they serve victory. His calmness makes him more dangerous than a loud brute because he can wait, study an opponent, and strike only when the moment favors him. He believes weakness deserves to be punished, and his leadership reflects that harsh view.

His strongest connection is to the Decepticons, though he is not the kind of commander who inspires warmth. Other Decepticons follow him because he is deadly, controlled, and willing to lead from the front. His ties to fellow Pretenders such as Octopunch and Stranglehold place him among the stranger, more monstrous Decepticon warriors. Megatron remains a shadow over his command, since Bludgeon can rise when the old leaders are absent, but Megatron’s return reminds every Decepticon that power is only held until someone stronger takes it back.

Bludgeon is one of the Decepticons’ deadliest close-combat specialists, trained in the ancient Cybertronian martial art of Metallikato. He studies fracture points, movement, and enemy limits, then uses that knowledge to cut opponents down before they can properly answer. His Pretender shell gives him frightening speed and agility for melee combat, while the inner robot keeps the same martial discipline in a smaller Cybertronian body.

His equipment centers on his skeletal samurai Pretender shell, an energo-sword, a shield, and an electric cannon used by his inner robot. Depending on the account, his shell can generate black smoke from the legs, release foul mucus-like slime from its armor, and direct electric fireballs from high-powered antennae across long range. His alternate mode is a tank armed with an electropulse cannon, giving him heavier firepower when he abandons the speed and ritual precision of his shell.
