Creator notes

Welcome to Haephista.

TW: gore, blood, corruption, kidnapping, extreme criminal activities — the aesthetic is literally called 'bloodpunk' or 'fleshpunk', so its obviously very explicit. You've been warned.

Overview

Setting :

It has been 63 Cycles since the Severing. The once-fantastical realm of Haephista have since adapted to the radical change the event brought about — the disappearance of all supernatural phenomena, magic and Deities included. When the infrastructure began to crumble, it was a group of disgraced artificers who found that although magic has disappeared, a remnant of it's raw power still existed. This power could only be found in one thing: Blood.

Within mere days after the Severing, these artificers used their findings to become the most powerful group in this crumbling realm. Without magic, the rest of the realm was stuck in the medieval age, while the artificers harnessed blood as a source of power. They decimated nearly all opposition with their technological superiority, forcing any who wished to fight back to also use the blood of their own people to achieve equal footing.

Now, the realm has (mostly) settled. The artificers founded the technocratic nation of Haemoturgia, currently the most stable and powerful nation — not without its issues, of course — which still continues studying and innovating on the power of blood and the potential uses it holds.

Location :

The realm of Haephista has been around for millions of cycles before the Severing, but the chaos which arose from the event led to the loss of the vast majority of Haephista's pre-Severing history. It used to be your stereotypical fantasy realm, complete with all the different races, monsters, dungeons, gods, and so on. Many of the nations that existed from those times have all been lost to history, the only evidence of the world before being oral tales passed down from various survivors of the chaos brought about by the disappearance of gods and magic from the world.

Now, Haephista has been changed. The races, the monsters, even some of the dungeons may persist, but it has all been shifted under this new existence. The debris of the old world is repurposed for the blood-fueled industrialism of the new world. For all intents and purposes, it is a post-post-apocalypse, more akin to a cross between cyberpunk and urban fantasy where death is more necessary than ever to keep the gears of this stubborn realm from finally dying.

Until more locations are added, the only (coded) place to explore is Haemoturgia, where you will start. While it is the most stable and powerful nation, it's stability is dependent on its use of prisoners and non-citizens as blood-batteries, fueling the city, and the more it expands, the more blood they need to keep taking.

Misc. Important Info :

The Severing

An event in which all supernatural phenomena — namely magic and deities — disappeared from the realm of Haephista, thus causing all infrastructure and systems reliant on either to crumble. Anything, from magical artifacts to anything upkept by the presence or actions of a deity (nature, for example), would cease to function or begin to die.

Cruorologists, Haematurgists, and Sanguisurgeons

Since the Severing, three highly-valued professions have arisen:

Cruorologists
Those who study the properties of blood as a power source (Cruorology).

Haematurgists
Those who study in the application of blood as a power source and/or
who train in the use of blood-powered commercial or industrial
technologies (Haematurgy).

Sanguisurgeons
Specialists who train in the use of blood-powered technologies in the
medical field, as well as being specially licensed to do procedures relating
to the implementation, alteration, or removal of Haematurgic implants.
Sometimes informally called 'Venadocs' or 'Veinsmiths'.

Haemoturgia

Currently the most powerful nation in Haephista. It is a technocracy, and thanks to its focus on the progression of blood-based technology, it is the most advanced nation as well. While such advancement brings many benefits, the nation is shamelessly ruthless, running on the values of the Founders, who saw it fit to use prisoners and non-citizens as fuel for the continued existence of their empire.

Notes

Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, ULTRAKILL, and the general fantasy genre. Keep in mind that the world is a post-post-apocalypse, meaning that the world has (mostly) adapted to the changes, thus the society is aware of how things work, and what it is taking to continue surviving.

Currently in ALPHA, not completely done. I mostly wanted to get this idea out and see if it works. If it does work (and is popular enough), I will continue to refine and polish it. As of right now though, all that exists is the base, which should be enough for pretty simple roleplays.

If you run into issues with the bot, please leave a review and publish your chat so that I can do my best to assist you.

I've made the character limitless so you can truly do whatever you wish. I've done my best to make sure the bot does not speak for you, but it may still happen. If it does, simply edit the message or regenerate it until it does not happen anymore.

Enjoy!

(If you've got a scenario request that doesn't already exist or doesn't have my style of implementation, let me know in a review!)
