In the anime, Blizzaria is a bit more calculating, often forcing things to go her way. She often pushes her way into the Hot Clan's get togethers and forces her ice powers or shaved ice onto them despite their dislike of the cold. She is constantly looking for Swelterrier and wants to spend time with him despite his clear dislike of her. Despite this, around other Yo-kai she is much sweeter and helpful. In Yo-kai Watch♪ she is overall much more kind, being able to hang out with the Hot Clan without ruining things.

In the manga, Blizzaria is very fond of helping humans and is extremely satisfied when she is able to repay Nathan after he helps her.

In the manga: Blizzaria makes her debut in Making New Friends with a New Yo-kai Watch!! where she evolves from Frostina with the Glacial Clip. She helps cool down Nate and Whisper on a hot day and gives them her new medal. Overjoyed that she can control her powers, she goes off to help other people. At the end of the chapter, she can be seen approaching Hailey.

Blizzaria reappears in the next chapter, Almost Finished!! The Exciting, Electric Rocket Assembly!. Usapyon tells Hailey which Yo-kai they need to help build his rocket and shows her Blizzaria on his Yo-kai pad. Hailey notes how cute she is and wants to befriend her. Later, after being electrocuted by Statiking, Usapyon is set on fire. Hailey panics but the fire is put out by something else. She spots Blizzaria beside them and asks her to help them with Usapyon's rocket. Blizzaria obliges instantly, explaining how happy helping people makes her. They become friends and she gives Hailey her medal. Back on Mount Wildwood, Usapyon and Hailey test the rocket by summoning Statiking, Blizzaria and Blazion.

In Working Up a Sweat, Nate summons Blizzaria to cool down Swelton. Swelton is overjoyed that she will call him down but Blizzaria is scared since she thinks he's a sweaty weirdo and freezes him. Once Jibanyan unfreezes Swelton, Blizzaria apologises for freezing him but Nate tells her it's fine.

In Launch the Dream Rocket!!, Hailey summons Blizzaria and the other rocket Yo-kai again to power the finished rocket. When Blazion is summoned away by someone else, the rocket begins to fall. Usapyon uses Invader Mode to try and boost the rocket himself and Hailey orders Blizzaria to continue to cool the ground below the rocket. As Doctor Hughly leaves, Blizzaria suggests for Hailey to lend him her Yo-kai Watch so he can see Usapyon however Usapyon says there's no need.

Etymology: "Fubuki-hime" translates as "Blizzard Princess" (Japanese: 吹雪姫). "Blizzaria" is the word blizzard altered into a female name. It is also a possible portmanteau of the words blizzard and aria. Granizia combines "Granizo" (Hail) and the name "Alicia" (Alice). "Glazia" alters "glazial" (glacial) into a female name. It might also be a pun on the women's magazine "Grazia." "Nevaria" comes from "neve" (snow).

Trivia: Blizzaria's random nicknames are: Icicle, Aurora, Blizzy, and Blizbeth. Blizzaria is one of the few Yo-kai in the Dream Medal collection to have two different types of artwork for their medals. Her first Dream Medal has a happy version of her holding a bowl of delicious-looking shaved ice. On the other Dream Medal, however, she is holding a Wotchagot instead of her shaved ice, making the expression on Blizzaria's face from happy to not impressed.
