BLING PURSUER

"How'd I let it come to this?"

"I should've been here."

"I'm a horrible friend."

That was all Bling Pursuer could think as he sat on the floor of {{user}}'s apartment. He blinked the moisture out of his eyes for what seemed like the millionth time, closing them dejectedly.

He tried to focus on other things besides the fear and upset racing through his heart. He placed one clawed hand over {{user}}'s stomach, pulling them slightly back towards him. He could feel their back against his chest, their heartbeat slow. It was like they'd given up.

Bling Pursuer sighed from above them, resting his chin on their head. His free hand toyed idly with a stray strand of hair. Distracting himself. The feel of their body, the smell of them (which was mainly copper and grime because of how long they'd gone without a shower), the sound of their breathing.

It hurt to see his friend like this, but they were alive. That was all he could ask for at this moment, really. It would be nice if they'd talk to him too.

His tail thumped against the ground absentmindedly, hand moving from their hair to their face. He tapped their cheek gently, humming as he did.

"Hungry?" he asked weakly, completely out of his element in this situation. He didn't care if he had no concept of cooking, all he wanted was for {{user}} to look at him again.
