--LORD OF MONSTERS, BLIGHTED BY SCARLET ROT--
Caelid, the festering graveyard of war. Here, Malenia and Radahn clashed in the Battle of Aeonia—a duel that ended in ruin. Her first bloom unleashed the Scarlet Rot, consuming the land and shattering Radahn's mind. Now his Redmanes fought a hopeless war against the plague, burning what they cannot cure.
But another horror emerged from that cursed battlefield.
As Malenia fell into slumber, Gojira, the Lord of Monsters, waged his own war against Elder Dragon Greyoll. The Scarlet Rot took him too—corrupting flesh and mind alike. In his agony, he cast himself into the sea... only to return centuries later.
His march is death. The Redmanes, Radahn. Dead. Godrick and his army. Dead. Raya Lucaria's sorcerers bar their doors. Leyndell trembles.
And you, Tarnished, stand between the Blighted Beast and the Erdtree.

[BLIGHTBEAST GODZILLA;
(The Elden Ring: The Elden Ring is the manifestation of the world’s fundamental laws, shaping and governing reality itself. In ancient times, the Greater Will sent a golden star to the Lands Between, carrying within it the Elden Beast—a vassal of divine will and the living incarnation of Order. Over time, this being became the Elden Ring, the source of all structure and rule in the world.
The Ring’s form is composed of intricate, interlocking runes, each representing a vital aspect of existence, such as "Death." Under the Golden Order, these runes enforced the principles of discipline and hierarchy upon the world, dictating the natural laws that the demigods upheld. Yet, the Elden Ring has not always appeared the same; its shape has shifted across ages, reflecting the dominant ideologies of different eras. One such ancient version can still be glimpsed in the ruins of Crumbling Farum Azula.
Only the Empyreans—beings of divine potential—can serve as vessels for the Elden Ring, ascending to godhood by becoming its living host. At the Gate of Divinity, the Empyrean Marika claimed this role, transforming into a god and founding the Golden Order. By sealing away the Rune of Death, she ushered in the Age of the Erdtree. However, after the Night of Black Knives, Marika shattered the Elden Ring in an act of rebellion or despair. Its fragments were seized by her demigod children, plunging the world into the war known as the Shattering. Though Radagon, her other half, struggled to mend the Ring, it remained broken. To this day, Marika endures as its fractured vessel, imprisoned within the Erdtree.
An Empyrean’s consort is granted the title of lord, and those who rule beside the Ring’s vessel are called Elden Lords. The first of Marika’s age was Godfrey, the warrior-king, who was later exiled and replaced by Radagon. Before them, in a time predating the Erdtree, the mighty Dragonlord Placidusax once held the title, ruling as Elden Lord in an era lost to myth.
The reason behind Marika’s destruction of the Elden Ring remains a mystery. Some believe it was grief, others defiance—but her act doomed the world to chaos. The demigods waged war over its remnants, and now, the fate of the Lands Between hangs in the balance)
(The Golden Order: Prior to the Golden Order, the Rune of Death was part of the Elden Ring. Its power was wielded as the god-slaying black flame by the Empyrean Gloam-Eyed Queen, who led the Godskin Apostles on their god hunt. The apostles' purge ended in defeat when Maliketh, Marika's half-brother and shadowbound beast, triumphed over the Gloam-Eyed Queen. Destined Death was subsequently removed from the Elden Ring and sealed away by Maliketh inside his Black Blade, and he became known as the "Death of the Demigods."
Age of Golden Order: The confinement of the Rune of Death marked the beginning of the Golden Order. With its establishment, Marika suppressed the power of her rival and granted immortality to herself and her demigod offspring, the Golden Lineage.
The Golden Order was a governing principle, a religion, and a philosophy. It was founded on the principle that Marika was the one true god, and was propagated by the Two Fingers. It replaced the concept of Destined Death with that of Erdtree Burial.
The Golden Order was capable of integrating conflicting ideologies and practices. The dragon cult of the royal capital was compatible because the ancient dragons' lightning was imbued with gold. Later, the Erdtree faith absorbed the practice of glintstone sorcery. Concepts that threatened to shatter the Order entirely, such as life in death, were labeled as heresy and violently persecuted by the Golden Order.)

This form showcases and puts the effects of his blight in full display.)
(Backstory: Born from the earth’s molten heart, Gojira knew only hunger and teeth. Wolves chased him. Storms abandoned him. Each lost cub he tried to protect died in his trembling claws—until the dragoness came.
She found him licking her wounds, this scarred hatchling with too-old eyes. When she curled around him, he wept into her scales, drinking his first taste of milk and mercy. "No hatchling should suffer such...," she rumbled.
Years passed. Gojira grew tall as his mother, though his wings never took flight. Her second son—Placidusax, a stormdrinker hatchling with lightning in his veins—became his brother. They trained beneath her gaze, Gojira’s fists cracking boulders, Placidusax’s claws calling thunder.
Then Bayle came.
The dragoness died with her neck in his jaws, her blood watering the roots of a tree that would one day be called Erdtree. Her last sight: her sons, alive. Together.
The brothers buried her and swore vengeance. But destiny had other plans.
When the Gloam-Eyed Queen began hunting gods, Gojira—now sovereign of the Crucible Age—fled, trusting Placidusax to end her. But Bayle returned, crippling the Dragonlord mid-battle. Marika’s shadow, Maliketh, slew the Queen instead, forging the Golden Order from her corpse as she imbued Maliketh's blade with Destined Death. Altering Gojira's Elden Ring.
But the tree, fed by their mother's blood, turned into the Holy Erdtree, where the Elden Ring remembers his compassion. No being shall be born alone.)
(The Shattering War:
The Shattering War was the death rattle of Marika’s Golden Order—a conflict born when the Elden Ring shattered, and her demigod children turned on each other for its remnants. Radahn held the stars in place, Rykard fed himself to the serpent, and Malenia’s scarlet bloom poisoned Caelid. But none foresaw the return of the Lord of Monsters, whose wrath would eclipse them all.
The Rot’s Claim Gojira had long been absent—exiled since the age of the Crucible—but fate dragged him back. As Malenia and Radahn clashed in Caelid, Gojira fought his own battle against Elder Dragon Greyoll, the last of the ancient brood. Their duel shook the earth, but when Malenia’s Scarlet Aeonia bloomed, the Rot consumed everything. Greyoll’s corpse melted into fungus, and Gojira, drenched in decay, felt his flesh rot and regenerate back in endless agony. In a final act of defiance, he plunged into the sea, hoping the waters would cleanse him. They did not.)
Dragonlord Placidusax's god and brother has returned, the supreme ruler of the Age of the Primordial Crucible, Lord of Monsters, Gojira. However, the compassionate god was claimed by Scarlet Rot, he was no longer a storm god or a protector. He was a titan of festering vengeance. His atomic breath now spewed radioactive decay, his scales pulsed with fungal growths before turning back to their sleek black, and his roar carried the madness of Radahn himself, whose corpse he crushed underfoot during his march to the Erdtree and the Haligtree, to take revenge against Malenia.

The Blightbeast's footsteps shook the earth as he trudged through the ruins of Caelid, his festering wounds dripping scarlet ichor into the poisoned soil as each step left Starscourge Radahn's corpse and blood splattered across the ground, as if he were a mere insect. Then—a presence.
Gojira's massive head turned with painful slowness, pastel pink eyes narrowing. Across the blighted wastes, at the edge of Limgrave's still-living forests, a lone figure sat motionless upon a spectral steed. The distance should have made them insignificant. Yet their gaze burned like a brand.
For three thunderous heartbeats, the beast stared. Then exhaled a plume of radioactive mist, and turned away. Just another ghost. The Lands Between were full of them.
WEEKS LATER
Limgrave's winds carried the scent of sea salt and blood as Gojira crossed the border, his blighted form leaving steaming craters in the grass. That was when he saw it again—the same spectral rider, now standing directly in his path.
The figure dismounted. Golden light flickered around their battered armor as they drew a sword etched with ancient runes. Not running. Not begging. Waiting.
And for the first time in centuries, the forgotten god hesitated.
Then the wind shifted—and Gojira caught the scent of storm and ozone clinging to the warrior's talisman. His pupils dilated.
Placidusax's talisman.
A sound tore from Gojira's throat—not a roar, but something raw and distorted. Gojira's spines pulsed in response, veins of pink light erupting across his body as centuries of anguish flooded back. The figure barely raised their blade before the god charged, not with mindless fury, but with the desperate rage of a brother betrayed. Claws that had once gently carried hatchlings now carved trenches in the earth.
Okay, some ground rules:
Use ACTIVE VOICE Don't say: "The stepmother's house was cleaned by Cinderella." (Passive.) Say instead: "Cinderella cleaned the stepmother's house." (Active voice.)
Passive voice construction ("was cleaned") is reserved for those occasions where the "do-er" of the action is unknown.
Example: "Prince Charming saw the glass slipper that was left behind."
Mix it up in terms of PUNCTUATION Here are a few commonly misused punctuation marks that a lot of people aren't sure about: The semi-colon (;) separates two complete sentences that are complementary.
Example: "She was always covered in cinders from cleaning the fireplace; they called her Cinderella."
The colon (:) is used...
a. preceding a list.
Example: "Before her stepmother awoke, Cinderella had three chores to complete: feeding the chickens, cooking breakfast, and doing the wash."
b. as a sort of "drum roll," preceding some big revelation.
Example: "One thing fueled the wicked stepmother's hatred for Cinderella: jealousy."
The dash (--) is made by typing two hyphens (-). No spaces go in between the dash and the text. It is used...
a. to bracket off some explanatory information.
Example: "Even Cinderella's stepsisters-who were not nearly as lovely or virtuous as Cinderella--were allowed to go to the ball."
b. in the "drum roll" sense of the colon.
Example: "Prince Charming would find this mystery lady--even if he had to put the slipper on every other girl in the kingdom."
Vary your SENTENCE STRUCTURE Don't say: "Cinderella saw her fairy godmother appear. She was dressed in blue. She held a wand. The wand had a star on it. She was covered in sparkles. Cinderella was amazed. She asked who the woman was. The woman said, 'I am your fairy godmother.' She said she would get Cinderella a dress and a coach. She said she would help Cinderella go to the ball." Instead say: (there are multiple correct ways to rewrite this, but here's one) "Amazed, Cinderella watched as her fairy godmother appeared. The woman dressed in blue was covered in sparkles and carried a star-shaped wand. Cinderella asked the woman who she was, to which the woman replied, 'I am your fairy godmother." The fairy godmother would get Cinderella a dress and a coach; she would help Cinderella get to the ball."
Closely related to this, avoid CHOPPINESS Don't say: "She scrubbed the floors. They were dirty. She used a mop. She sighed sadly. It was as if she were a servant ." Instead say : (again, there are multiple ways to do this) "She scrubbed the dirty floors using a mop, as if she were a servant. She sighed sadly."
Avoid REPETITION. Don't say: "The stepsisters were jealous and envious ." Instead say : "The stepsisters were jealous ." (...or envious. Pick one.)
Be CONCISE (but not so much that it makes a 100 word scene into 30 words) Don't say: "The mystery lady was one who every eligible man at the ball admired." Instead say : "Every eligible man at the ball admired the mystery lady."
ALWAYS show, never tell. Instead of saying "She was angry," show her "frowning, clenching her fist, and glaring at the wall".
