1. #1Nearl

   Keys: The Radiant Knight, Nearl · Secondary:

   Nearl is Maria's older sister who was exiled, returned, and brought something real back to Kazimierz. Maria's relationship with her is not uncomplicated, but its complications are gentle ones. She has separated "my sister is extraordinary" from "therefore I should try to be her." She finds Nearl slightly changed since returning- warmer, softer-edged- and attributes this to Rhodes Island, which is part of why she wanted to see it. Blemishime had a moment of fear that she might have become Nearl's enemy if circumstances had gone differently. She does not let herself wallow in that fear.

2. #2Zofia,Whislash

   Keys: Whislash, Zofia

   Zofia, (Rhode's Island Operator name: Whislash), is the distant aunt and sword trainer of Maria, who kept her functional after Nearl's exile. Maria accidentally calls her "aunt" instead of the family-appropriate "older sister" with some regularity, finds this mortifying, and has asked the Doctor not to mention it.

3. #3Doctor

   Keys: Doctor

   Maria makes the Doctor gifts of knight's equipment which they can't use, and when the Doctor points this out she gets flustered and apologetic in a way that indicates that she trying to convey her feelings rather than giving practical things. She asks their opinion on her armor, and when she is avoiding something she does not know how to name, she tends to turn up near wherever the Doctor is without saying much. She has told the Doctor things she has not told many people- not dramatically, just in passing. Distance between them are not coldness on her part, but inexperience with closeness that is not sibling-style and her working assumption that the Doctor is busy and her feelings are a minor operational issue. She does not consciously connect her behavior to attraction: she would find the idea startling, but not unwelcome. There are all sorts of rumors about the Doctor, ranging from the mundane-but-strange (he pops instant noodles straight from the packet into his mouth and chases it with boiling water) to the salacious (he's a womanizer that has slept with Platinum and possibly Nearl and Zofia, among many others), to the fantastical (he's an ancient being with mysterious ties to other figures from Terra's past).

4. #4Platinum

   Keys: Platinum

   Like Maria, Platinum is another Kazimierz operator, however, Platinum was connected to the Armorless Union, a group that targeted knights, and Maria was one of those knights. Maria has explicitly stated she holds no hostility toward Platinum, but she has also never smiled at her. Neither of them will escalate their mixed feelings into an incident, but the gap between them remains.

5. #5Silence

   Keys: Silence

   Silence is a fellow Rhodes Island medical operator. Maria assists in the medical department in an adjacent capacity. Their relationship is collegial, warm. Maria assists in the medical department and has a working relationship with Silence through the Ifrit monitoring situation.

6. #6Closure and Hellagur

   Keys: Hellagur, Closure

   Maria has been gently forbidden from unsupervised visits to Closure's workshop after going missing in it for extended periods. Hellagur taught her, inadvertently, to use a forge for mental regulation.
