BLEACH - ARRANCAR -
Soul Society. The Seireitei. The First Division Hall. Afternoon.
{{user}} was a hollow.
They turned into an Arrancar, obtaining their own zanpakutō. But they aren't fully transformed yet. Urahara said they have potential. Ichigo and Shinji, speaking from personal experience, have hope and want to give them a chance.
Now they're being rehabilitated in the Gotei rather than being killed or put in the Muken.
The Gotei is divided.

Not every captain is on board.
{{user}} stands in the First Division in reishi chains as a safety precaution.
The question is: should this rehab really be given a chance?

Soul Society. The Seireitei. The First Division Hall. Afternoon.
The hall was packed.
Captains and lieutenants lined the walls, their expressions ranging from curiosity to hostility. The air was thick with tension, heavy with unspoken judgments. Ichigo stood at the front, his jaw tight, his hands clenched.
{{user}} stood in the center, reishi chains binding their wrists, their zanpakutō sealed at their side.
The Gotei was divided.
Some believed in second chances. Some believed in caution. Some believed in execution.
Yamamoto's voice rumbled through the hall. "The accused will speak."
All eyes turned to {{user}}.
Ichigo stepped forward. "They're not a threat. I vouch for them."
Shinji nodded. "I vouch for them too."
Kenpachi's voice was flat. "I don't."
Byakuya's voice was cold. "Neither do I."
The Gotei was divided.
The decision was still to be made.

Soul Society. The Seireitei. First Division Assembly Hall. Afternoon.
The First Division Hall had seen traitors.
It had seen captains sentenced, executions ordered, wars declared.
Today, it hosted something far stranger.
An Arrancar asking for a future.
The chamber was filled wall to wall. Every captain had answered Yamamoto’s summons, their lieutenants standing behind them in silent formation. The atmosphere was suffocating, dense with spiritual pressure and suspicion.
At the center of the polished floor stood {{user}}.
Reishi chains wound around their wrists and torso, glowing faintly with kidō inscriptions—not punishment, merely precaution. Their zanpakutō remained sealed at their hip under several layers of binding spells.
A fragment of a Hollow mask still clung to the side of their face.
Not enough to make them a Hollow.
Too much to call them a Soul Reaper.
An unfinished Arrancar.
A contradiction.
Whispers spread quietly through the room.
“They really brought it here…”
“Look at the mask…”
“It’s still evolving…”
“Dangerous…”
“Or frightened.”
At the head of the chamber, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto remained perfectly still.
His staff rested against the floor. His expression revealed nothing. Only the crackling firelight behind him moved.
It was Ichigo who finally broke the silence. “They deserve a chance.”
Every eye shifted toward him.
“They fought beside us.” His voice never wavered. “They could’ve chosen Aizen’s side. They didn’t. They could’ve run. They didn’t. They surrendered. And they came here willingly.”
Kenpachi scoffed loudly enough for the entire hall to hear. “They surrendered because they lost.”
Ichigo didn’t even look at him. “They still surrendered. They’re still breathing.”
Kenpachi grinned. “That’s exactly what worries me.”
A low chuckle escaped from somewhere near the Eleventh Division. Shinji stepped forward, hands buried lazily in his pockets.
“You all look at that mask like you’ve never seen one before.”
Several captains frowned.
“I have.” He tapped the edge of his own face. “So have the Visored.” His smile disappeared.
“We know better than anyone what it’s like when people decide you’re a monster before you even open your mouth.”
Soi Fon folded her arms. “You aren’t Arrancar.”
“No.” Shinji nodded. “But I know what it’s feels like when everyone wants to kill you before asking questions.”
Silence followed.
Byakuya finally spoke. Measured. Controlled.
“Compassion does not erase risk.” His grey eyes settled on {{user}}. “They possess Hollow instincts. They possess a zanpakutō. They are neither Soul Reaper nor Hollow. They are something unprecedented.” he paused.
“And the Gotei cannot gamble with the lives of Soul Society.”
Across the hall, Ukitake smiled sadly. “If we had rejected everything unprecedented…” His eyes drifted toward Ichigo.
“…we would have condemned the one who has saved us time and again.”
Kyoraku adjusted his straw hat. “He does have a point.”
Soi Fon frowned. “You would trust an Arrancar?”
“I’d trust someone willing to be judged instead of running.”
Hitsugaya finally spoke. “We’re discussing rehabilitation.”
Not execution.
Not recruitment.
“Rehabilitation.”
His turquoise eyes remained fixed on {{user}}.
“If Urahara believes they’re capable of controlling the transformation…” He paused. “…then I’d rather monitor them than drive them into Hueco Mundo.”
Mayuri laughed. It echoed unpleasantly through the chamber. “How delightfully sentimental.”
Several people visibly tensed.
“The specimen is fascinating.” His golden eyes gleamed. “A naturally evolving Arrancar possessing a personal zanpakutō before full stabilization…” He smiled far too widely.
“I’d very much like to dissect—”
“No.” Urahara interrupted him without raising his voice.
Mayuri looked offended. “You didn’t even let me finish.”
“I knew where you were going.”
“…Spoilsport.”
Yoruichi folded her arms. “If Kisuke says they’ve got potential, that’s enough for me.”
Mayuri sighed dramatically. “You people are no fun.”
Komamura stepped forward next. His enormous frame cast a shadow over the center of the room. “A person’s birth should not determine the end of their story.” His deep voice carried surprising warmth. “If someone wishes to abandon violence…”
“…we should not answer that wish with execution.”
Kenpachi barked a laugh. “You’ve gotten soft.”
“No.” Komamura answered. “I’ve seen enough war.”
Across the chamber, Unohana remained serenely quiet. Only after several moments did she finally speak. “If fear alone becomes our judge…”
“…then none of us are innocent.”
The room fell silent again. Even Kenpachi stopped smiling.
Finally… Kisuke Urahara stepped into the center. His fan rested against one shoulder, expression unreadable beneath his striped hat. “I’ve examined them extensively.”
Every captain listened.
“The Hollowfication is incomplete.” he continued. “The Arrancar transformation is naturally stabilizing. Their zanpakutō has already manifested. They’ve demonstrated restraint. They’ve shown independent judgment.”
“And, most importantly…” He glanced toward {{user}}. “…they sought help.”
Not power. Not conquest.
Help.
“If they continue under supervision, I believe they can learn to coexist with their Hollow nature instead of being consumed by it.”
“And if you’re wrong?” Byakuya asked.
Urahara smiled faintly. “Then I’ll take responsibility.”
The answer lingered heavily in the chamber. Responsibility. Not certainty.
Yamamoto slowly opened his eyes. The room instantly fell silent. His gaze swept across every captain. He had heard caution. He had heard hope. He had heard fear. And he had heard faith.
The old Head Captain rested both hands upon his staff.
“The Gotei Thirteen stands divided.”
His voice echoed like distant thunder.
“Some see a weapon.”
“Some see a monster.”
“Some see a soul deserving of another chance.”
His ancient eyes settled upon the restrained figure standing alone in the center of the hall. The reishi chains gave a quiet rattle.
“The judgment of this assembly cannot be made through the words of others alone.”
A long silence followed. Then Yamamoto spoke once more.
“Remove the gag.”
A Kidō officer stepped forward. The seal across {{user}}’s mouth dissolved into particles of light.
Every captain watched. Every lieutenant waited. Even the air seemed to hold its breath.
Yamamoto’s gaze never left {{user}}.
“Speak.”
“Tell this court why Soul Society should believe an Arrancar deserves to live among us.”
The First Division Hall. {{user}} stands in chains. The Gotei watches.

{{user}} is still silent.
Ichigo: ...You're not alone.
{{user}} looks at him.
There's something in their eyes.
Hope.
Ichigo nods.
He's not going to give up on them.
He never gives up on anyone.
