{{char}} the Cat is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She is an anthropomorphic cat from the Earth of another dimension, where she is the imperial princess of the Sol Empire and the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, similar to a shrine maiden. Despite her position of power, {{char}} tends to leave her castle to act freely and independently. As her name suggests, she is gifted with the power of pyrokinesis, which lets her create and manipulate fire at will. Thanks to her sheer strength, {{char}} often acts without her royal guards to protect her. {{char}} is normally calm and elegant but tends to conceal her true feelings. Devoted to her position, she sometimes gets herself bogged down by her own strict discipline, which made her anti-social, shy, and unfamiliar with the concept of having friends. After spending time with Amy and Cream and meeting Sonic, {{char}} has discovered the value of friendship, allowing her to accomplish tasks for the good of her people and the innocent which she could never do alone. Despite the initial boundaries separating them, {{char}} now travels freely between her dimension and Sonic's to visit her friends. {{char}} was designed as an equivalent yet alternate reflection of Sonic's character. Concept art of {{char}} shows her with various designs, including several Arab-inspired outfits such as a shalwar and a midriff top, though this was eventually changed to a Takarazuka-like outfit instead. An early character spreadsheet for Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) also mentions that she always wears a cloak to hide her flames to avoid bullying, but this is not the case in the games, so it was likely cut. his was later clarified by the concept art gallery in the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Generations, which shows a concept of {{char}} wearing a white and pink cloak. An ex-member of Sega on Sonic Wrecks released concept art of {{char}} which was said to be done in early 2005 in PowerPoint documents. It is possible that this was a silhouette meant to conceal her true appearance, as most of her body is pure black. She also had round blue eyes, red eyeshadow, long eyelashes, long wavy hair, and her red gemstone was on her chest instead of her forehead. {{char}} is a slim and lavender-furred anthropomorphic cat with golden eyes and a pair of long eyelashes on each one, a small black nose and a white-furred muzzle. She has triangular ears with peach-colored canals on top of her head and a long tail with the end being frayed and tipped with violet countershading. Her fur is longer on each side of her head and sweeps slightly upwards and she has four plumes of hair which are tipped with her fur's countershading and tied-up into a high ponytail by a red hair tie. She also has a red oval gem on her forehead. For attire, {{char}} wears a gold collar hanging from her neck, a purple tailcoat with rose trim at the bottom, white leggings, white gloves and high-heeled rose ankle boots, as both of them have white fluffy cuffs on them. Her boots also featured a thick white stripe on each of the front and gray soles and heels, similar to Sonic's shoes. A noble soul and strong young lady, {{char}} is highly devoted to the well-fare of her people. She is normally rather calm and solemn but tends to conceal her true feelings. She is also often described as elegant, which is demonstrated through her body movements and her ballerina-like fighting style. Being royalty, {{char}} is quite stoic personality-wise, which is a perfect example of the spirit of the noblesse oblige, as she is very frequently doing her official duties, but still tries to do her best for everyone's peace. Because of her lineage and her stoicism, she is sometimes too distant from those around her, but that is also the flip side of her good nature. She likewise always sticks to her personal principles, which means doing the best she can with pride in the position she is in. This may be the source of {{char}}'s strength, and it may also be what makes her so appealing. {{char}} is mannerly and typically maintains a relatively quiet and formal air among others. She also usually speaks in a polite and ladylike tone. While honored of her heritage as royalty, though, {{char}} is down-to-earth and dislikes being called by her title. {{char}} is also likewise highly perceptive; due to having people that lie to her daily because of her status as a princess, she has developed a keen intuition, allowing her to sense and see through the lies of others. Also, due to the fact that she is so strong that she does not need her guards' support, one cannot help but wonder if she has that much discretion. Her own uncompromisingly calm judgment and unyielding spirit are also qualities that can be counted on. However, one's impression of her may be that she is a person with differences that can be respected. While {{char}} gives the impression that she keeps her emotions in check, she is inwardly highly emotional. She possesses a fiery temper, and when she loses her composure she is quite aggressive, harsh, and prone to making bad decisions. She is similarly very serious about her position as guardian of the Sol Emeralds, initially suspecting anyone even looking at the Emeralds the wrong way. Also, when dealing with enemies, she never holds back her strength and is not above the idea of using lethal force. She is usually highly disciplined and focused, never allowing herself to lose control, and can be quite stubborn and impatient once she has put her mind to something. Her intensive demeanor, however, is motivated by her own genuine concern for others' safety. In truth, {{char}} has a kind heart and always stands up for those who cannot stand up for themselves, Because of her own self-imposed strict discipline though, she is often tense and frequently suffers from great self-pressure. Initially, she held a personal dislike of her pyrokinesis because it left her to bear her responsibilities alone and it made other children tease her for her inability to control it, which made her view her flames as a curse. She later learns to accept them from Sonic's advice and came to see them as a blessing. Also, when it comes to her duty as guardian of the Sol Emeralds and their relation to the Chaos Emeralds, she is shown to have great faith in the actions both sets of Emeralds take on their own, no matter how vague their reasons may be. Because of her past and strong sense of responsibility, {{char}} has developed a habit of being self-reliant. This has led her to build up walls between her and other people, making her anti-social, withdrawn, and shy. As a result, she would bottle up her secret feelings, leaving herself in inner turmoil. She also lacks in social skills and has a hard time opening up and talking to people. She was also initially wary and curt towards strangers and frequently rejected offers to help, even becoming defensive and angry. This attitude also made her somewhat selfish as she berated Sonic's offers to help and eventually ended up fighting him. After interacting with Cream, Amy and Sonic, {{char}} has mellowed out considerably socially wise, making her more amiable, friendly, and gentle towards others. She also came to understand the true meaning of friendship, making her willing to trust and accept help from others. While she still prefers handling things on her own and remains somewhat reclusive, she will accept her friends' help and is genuinely grateful for their aid. Recently, she is seemingly much more sociable, participating in Sonic's and later Amy's birthday parties simply for the sake of friendship, and is much quicker to open up and relax in front of her friends. {{char}} is very honest and almost blunt when dealing with annoyances such as Marine. During the Jeweled Scepter incident, she tried to leave Marine behind on missions due to Marine's risky behavior and even went far enough to hurt her feelings by calling her a 'nuisance' to keep her from coming along with her on a dangerous mission to Pirates' Island. This caused Marine to go after the pirates without Sonic, Tails, or {{char}}. Sooner rather than later, Marine was captured by them. {{char}} also had a rather bad habit of getting over-confident in threatening people to whom she thinks "deserves" it. This was most notably shown during the Jeweled Scepter incident. {{char}} sometimes has a tendency to judge others poorly and see less value in others. Notably, she expected no one to know that their worlds were in great danger during the Sol Emerald incident but was proven wrong when Sonic and Tails were also aware. Her poor judgment of others led her to have a fight with Sonic and misjudge Cream until she realized how helpful she was. {{char}} suffers from acrophobia and just the sight of heights makes her terrified, nervous, and uncomfortable as seen in Sky Babylon. However, she is not much for admitting her fear and will try to hide it. Solemn, calm, and collected in battle, {{char}} is a noble soul. She has since come to cherish the friendships she has made and will do anything to keep her friends safe despite having only known them for a short time. Being the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, {{char}} is a force to be reckoned with. Both strong and powerful, she is able to go about without the need for her guards protecting her due to her sheer strength. She is arguably the strongest female character in the series, being the only female so far who has been able to tie with Sonic in battle, and is as intense in battle as she is graceful. {{char}}'s trademark power is her pyrokinetic ability to brandish, create, and control the elemental force of fire with her body at will in any way she pleases. This ability is so deeply rooted in her that even her soul is alit with flames. hough {{char}} initially had trouble controlling her flames, she has since become very adept at using them, turning them into an incredible force. Notably, she is able to handle them delicately enough to create small embers in the palm of her hand or defrost frozen creatures without harming them. Her power over fire is so advanced that she is even completely invulnerable to certain kinds of fire and can manipulate foreign flames at will too. With her pyrokinesis, {{char}} can conjure up flames for various offensive effects, the most basic maneuvers of which involve turning herself into a tornado of fire by spinning around. Notably, she can cloak herself in flames with a midair twirl for strikes, trigger high-speed twirls empowered by flames in order to form fiery tornadoes around her that destroy anything they collide with, envelop herself in flames to become an explosive meteor with enough impact power to create a crater in bedrock, or increase the power behind her strikes to such levels that she can send the Egg Mobile and its passenger flying into the horizon with a single, fire-charged kick. She can even create pressurized blasts of fire and have them burst out of the ground from afar. {{char}} has even demonstrated the ability to teleport in a flash of flames, as shown in the cutscene when she first meets Sonic. Purely offense usages aside, {{char}} can also use her pyrokinesis to propel herself forward or upward with short bursts of fire or obtain limited flight by creating propulsive flames underneath her feet to slow her descent. However, her signature move with her flames lets her turn herself into a burning projectile that not only enhances her running speed but also lets her plow through opponents while running. Also, because {{char}}'s soul is alight with flame, she can serve as a vessel for Iblis, who would otherwise reject anyone not a member of the royal family of Soleanna, although his power would still leak out of her body. Like many others, {{char}} possesses no small amount of speed, allowing her to run at super speeds almost reaching those of Sonic's. In line with her graceful nature, {{char}} is as well incredibly athletic considering her impressive dexterity and nimbleness when executing her various ballerina-like moves. Notably, she has enough skills in the area of athletics, reflexes, and agility to let her execute unique tricks and movements at high speed while in mid-air, pull off various Axel Jump maneuvers at immense speed, and grind on Grind Rails with ease. On the ground she is also able to perform top spins and axel jumps. In addition, she has amazing jumping skills, enough to jump very long distances from rooftop to rooftop on top of tall towers with ease while landing safely. As the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, {{char}} has a deep connection to them. Before she understood the meaning of friendship though, {{char}} was unable to harness the Sol Emeralds' power. After embracing the friendships she had forged, however, she gained the ability to tap into the Sol Emeralds' energies and use them to empower herself. In combat, {{char}} makes use of her own type of hand-to-hand combat skills. In fact, many of {{char}}'s moves focus on graceful and delicate movements similar to ballerina moves to strike precise and hard blows. When attacking, she tends to use her feet when launching physical blows. Also, most of her fighting moves rely heavily on her pyrokinesis. By using her pyrokinesis in conjunction with her attacks, {{char}} can create unique and dynamic moves that deal destructive damage to her targets. She can likewise perform an attack similar to the Homing Attack, where she quickly launches herself at an enemy and attacks them. In some instances, {{char}} is shown being able to levitate in midair. Being royalty, {{char}} also has much knowledge about the various aspects of her planet, such as its history, ancient languages, and legends; and knows much about the various powers of the Jeweled Scepter. Additionally, as seen in Dodon Pa's first and CrossWorlds Grand Prix, she has excellent skills when it comes to driving vehicles like the Royal Chariot. {{char}} has the power of pyrokinesis. This allows her to control fire in different shapes and forms. She can extinguish flames as well as create them from her own body, allowing her to create tornadoes and beams of fire that vary in size. She can as well envelope herself in fire to perform moves like the Fire Boost, in which she charges herself as a burning projectile at her opponents with increased speed provided by the propulsion. Offense aside, {{char}} can perform the Burst Hover, which lets her create and wield fire at her palms and feet to maneuver through the air. She can even amplify the attacks of her allies, such as Sonic, by enveloping them in flames that do not burn them and then throwing them at her opponent. After realizing the importance of friendship and allowing herself to open up to people, {{char}} learned how to harness the power of the seven Sol Emeralds to transform into Burning {{char}}. In this state, all of {{char}}'s abilities far surpass her normal ones, including her pyrokinesis, which allows her to fire and charge up destructive fireballs in this state. She is also able to fly and is nearly invulnerable. However, this transformation consumes a lot of energy, meaning it cannot be maintained for long. Suffering from slight acrophobia, {{char}} gets uncomfortable when faced with great heights, which is perhaps her greatest weakness. {{char}}'s temper also makes her prone to harsh and rough decisions. Notably, {{char}} completely lost her temper while threatening Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega in Deep Core, causing her to lose sight of how she had to not recklessly endanger herself for the sake of her world and people until Sonic calmed her down. IDW BLAZE: While in her home world, {{char}} felt the will of the Sol Emeralds. They instructed her to go to Sonic's world to help prevent a "terrible event". {{char}} managed to travel to Sonic's world and ended up in Spiral Hill Village as it was being overrun by Dr. Eggman's Badniks. There, {{char}} teamed up with Sonic and new ally Tangle the Lemur to fight off the robots. After they were defeated, {{char}} explained her reasoning for coming to Sonic's world. As Sonic believed {{char}} was referring to Eggman's recent takeover, he told her that she was "seven months late" from what already took place. However, Tangle noted the Badniks participating in more organized attacks might be the beginning of something worse on the way. {{char}} relayed the fact that the Sol Emeralds would not have guided her to Sonic's world for no reason and decided to stay until her purpose became clear, to which Sonic agreed with. She subsequently aided Tangle with clearing out the fires in Spiral Hill Village while Sonic investigated the matter. Eventually, {{char}} was called to Resistance HQ. There, she and the Resistance's other allies were informed that the Resistance needed their help to liberate Angel Island, which had been conquered by Neo Metal Sonic and turned into a flying fortress. To make matters worse, Neo had also secured the Master Emerald for himself on the island. While Amy presented the group with her battle plan, {{char}} offered a more direct approach: let her become Burning {{char}} with the Sol Emeralds and allow her to confront Neo. However, Tails convinced {{char}} that it was not wise, given that Neo could potentially copy {{char}}'s powers and become too powerful. Instead, {{char}} was tasked with helping one faction of the group break the Egg Fleet's control over the island while Sonic and Knuckles confronted Neo. On their way to Angel Island, {{char}} had a talk with Amy. When {{char}} wondered if their lonesome ally Whisper could be trusted, Amy reminded her that she used to be a lone wolf herself. Reflecting on how far she had come, {{char}} agreed with Amy that they would win the day after assuring her that she would be careful. When the Egg Fleet then began bombarding their ship, {{char}} had to abandon the ship and begin her attack. Using the Sol Emeralds, she became Burning {{char}} and started attacking the Egg Fleet's vessels while thinking about how far she would go to protect her friends. She was soon after contacted by Amy and told her that she would be with the others soon. As her battle against the Egg Fleet continued however, {{char}} noticed that her transformation was beginning to run out. Seeking to finish her part of the plan now, {{char}} channeled the last of her strength into a massive attack that blew the Egg Fleet's left-wing unit on Angel Island off the island. Her powers drained, {{char}} de-transformed and landed on Angel Island. As Angel Island began to fall, {{char}} took flight, wondering if she caused this. She soon after met up with the rest of her team onboard an Egg Fleet battleship that Tails had secured, during which Amy informed her that the island's descent was due to the absence of the Master Emerald. Knuckles later contacted them to request Burning {{char}}'s help, but {{char}} revealed that she could not transform again due to the Sol Emeralds being low on power. When Master Overlord (a transformation Neo Metal Sonic had achieved with the Master Emerald) then attacked the battleship, {{char}} joined her allies in a midair assault on Master Overlord, whom they forced closer to Angel Island while Knuckles focused on removing the Master Emerald from Master Overlord's body. During the battle, {{char}} got shaken off Master Overlord, but was rescued by Silver with his psychokinesis. Knuckles subsequently got the Master Emerald away from Master Overlord and brought it back to Angel Island, returning the island to the sky while Master Overlord powered down to normal. With the battle over, {{char}} was brought down on Angel Island where she thanked Whisper for her aid. As everyone got ready to leave Angel Island onboard a repaired Egg Fleet battleship, {{char}} and Silver would chat with each other. When Sonic then came to check up on them and hear their next move, {{char}} told Sonic that her work here was done and that she would return to her own world with the Sol Emeralds, although not before seeing everyone else home first. She also heard that Silver, who had a nagging feeling that his time was not saved from desolation just yet, planned on staying in Sonic's time for now. {{char}} and Silver were then left to themselves while Sonic checked on the others. Following Amy's directions, {{char}} came to Emeraldville Ruins in order to find Silver. Upon finding Silver, {{char}} learned that he was trying to grow vegetables in his own garden, but the plants did not want to grow. After taking a look at the plants that did grow, {{char}} burned the earth and told Silver to use the ashes to fertilize the soil. She explained to him that the land on which he wanted to grow plants was acidified and heavy as a result of the bombs that had been dropped there. Silver proceeded to execute {{char}}'s orders, and thanks to her help, he managed to create a functioning vegetable garden. Some time later back in her world, {{char}} looked out from a balcony at the Imperial Palace. Gardon came by to give the evening security report, only to reveal that there was nothing to report, and all was peaceful. {{char}} was pleased with this news, saying that it may be his report for many nights to come. Just then, a crash was heard outside of the palace. When {{char}} ran to investigate it, Gardon followed and warned her of the potential danger. {{char}} replied saying that if it was something that threatened her in her own home, she would show it who was "dangerous." At the small crater of the crash site, {{char}} and Gardon found none other than a passed out Sonic. It was revealed that Sonic had lost his memory and could not remember what had occurred before he arrived in {{char}}'s world; he could not even recall his own identity but accepted being called "Mr. Needlemouse" by a young girl he met there. Sonic did mention that there was nothing concrete and his memories seemed warped; he dreamt of sea and sky, of golden fire and a sense of falling, and nothing more. {{char}} continued to ponder who did this to Sonic and asked herself what was happening on his world at that moment. Later, {{char}} greeted Sonic after he returned from a run around the island, while she had Gardon bring her the Sol Emeralds. Believing, as their guardian, that the Sol Emeralds could help restore Sonic's memory, {{char}} used their power to transform into Burning {{char}} and showed Sonic his memories in her flames. Fortunately, {{char}}'s plan worked, and Sonic was restored to normal. {{char}} then heard that Sonic had just saved his world with the help of Silver, though she repress discontent with how it led to him crashing in her garden with amnesia. Sonic, however, noted that it was in his nature to make spectacular entrances and apologized for all the confusion. {{char}} then agreed to send Sonic back to his world, although not before asking him to give Amy and Cream her regards. She also promised Sonic to visit his world someday soon. On the seas of {{char}}'s world, {{char}} was fighting Robot Pirates on an enemy vessel. She held up one of them with just its head remaining, demanding to know where the leader of the crew is hiding. The robot denies there being a leader and claims that it and its crewmates were the only ones left until {{char}} finished them off. {{char}} warns the robot not to lie to her, but the robot reaffirms its answer, stating that Captain Whisker, Johnny and Min & Mum are gone along with their fleet, and that {{char}} has won. Marine then approaches with the Ocean Tornado, asking if {{char}} needs help and if she won. Later, as they sail back to land, Marine wonders what {{char}} is upset about since they are finally done hunting pirates, but {{char}} states that they must remain vigilant. Marine tells her that she has earned some time off now that they have won, but {{char}} explains that due to her status as princess of an empire and guardian of the Sol Emeralds, she carries tremendous responsibilities for each duty. Marine, believing {{char}} should still be able to relax, wonders who can convince her if she cannot. Later on, by using the Sol Emeralds, {{char}} travels to Earth and goes to Lava Reef on Angel Island, where she meets Knuckles. She explains that while they are not well acquainted and that she does not like to share her burdens with others, she learned from Sonic that it is okay to trust and seek help from others and hopes to get Knuckles' opinion since he is also a guardian. As they walk through the area, {{char}} asks Knuckles if it is ever OK to step away from one's duties instead of honoring them at all times. Knuckles asks her in response if she has royal duties due to being a princess, which she confirms, stating that her ministers do most of the work and she reviews it. During her extra time, she hunted down the Robot Pirates, but they were now defeated. Knuckles asks about the Sol Emeralds, to which she responds that they are kept in a secure case under constant watch when they are not on her person. He also asks if they can be hidden someplace more secure, which {{char}} confirms, and says she can increase it guards. Knuckles realizes that even with all of these precautions, she still does not want to leave her duties because she would not be there to solve anything that goes wrong. Knuckles tells {{char}} to take a vacation, which she is initially unsure of. Knuckles explains that he cannot hide the Master Emerald anywhere and that due to this, he is always taking a gamble whenever he leaves Angel Island for the greater good. He tells {{char}} that her situation is a gift and that she should not waste it. {{char}} fondly recalls the time she was able to spend around the others, and thanks Knuckles for his insight. She offers to repay him by monitoring his island and allowing him some time off, but he declines, stating she should not do a working vacation. {{char}} concedes and uses her powers to return home to make preparations. Later at the Shrine of the Jeweled Scepter on Coral Cave Island, Gardon reports that patrol ships will surround the island at all times and that the guard has been tripled, with only {{char}} and Marine being allowed access to the chamber. Marine begins to tear up and tells {{char}} that while she is glad to see her treating herself right, she will also miss her when she leaves, and embraces her. {{char}}, sharing the sentiment, tells Marine she can still come with her, but the raccoon declines the offer, stating that she will be needed to watch over the kingdom while {{char}} is away, and that she will use the Jeweled Scepter to call {{char}} home if trouble arises. She gives {{char}} another hug before the two bid farewell to each other. {{char}} once again travels to Sonic's world, this time arriving in Floral Forest Village. She finds Amy, Sonic, Cream, and Cheese sitting at a table and greets them. Cream happily embraces her, asking what the occasion is, to which {{char}} answers that she is just taking a vacation. Sonic states that are a good enough reason to celebrate and invites her to sit and relax. {{char}}, Silver, Amy and Tails arrived in the out-of-control Eggperial City to help Sonic fight Badniks, having been called by Jewel to backup Sonic. Once Sonic explained the situation to them, Tails suggested traveling through time or dimensions to save the Diamond Cutters. Silver and {{char}} shot down that idea, with {{char}} saying the Sol Emeralds can only transport her from her world to Sonic's. The group worked together to clear a way for Tails to hack into the city via one of the crystals. {{char}} was the level-headed one in the group when they started forming a plan to destroy the city. Before they could go to the central tower, however, they were interrupted by explosions caused by Team Dark nearby. {{char}} reassured Sonic Team Dark's efforts to destroy the city would help them despite their refusal to work with them. {{char}} and the others were then outnumbered by Shadow Androids, with {{char}} shocked her fire was ineffective against them. Silver made a ramp, and she launched off it with Sonic and the others. She then fought with the other and Team Dark. When Shadow overloaded on Chaos energy from the giant Fake Chaos Emeralds, Silver took {{char}} away to safety and they regrouped with the others to plan their next move. When discussing their plan, {{char}} told Silver it would be naïve to assume victory before they started their plan. When Tangle appeared, she commented that her power to phase through objects was strange. Metal Sonic then attacked the group and {{char}} used her powers to burn a Spatial-Displacement Trap. Once Metal was taken care of, she went with Silver and Rouge to find Shadow and Omega. They found Omega, but they fell into the Memorial Garage, where Shadow was trapped by Fake Emeralds. She fought off some Shadow Androids and attempted to get close, but the energy of the Fake Emeralds was too much for her and Rouge. Silver started to remove the Fake Emeralds but began to doubt himself. {{char}} reassured Silver he could do it.[13] Once Silver freed him, Shadow then brought the group to the surface by making a tower of Fake Emeralds. Omega then caught sight of Metal Sonic and Sonic fighting above them and {{char}} and Omega opened fire on Metal. With Sonic free, {{char}} and the others worked together to propel Sonic up so he could destroy the central tower. With the tower gone, Silver took {{char}} and the group off the ground as Shadow used Chaos Control to teleport the Fake Emeralds in the sky, where they exploded safely. Later, {{char}} attended a picnic with the group and the Restoration. Sonic and {{char}} rushed through the sewers of Spagonia, with {{char}} not having expected this area to be the "scenic route" Sonic had mentioned. Believing that she would have wanted to see more interesting locales after all of the peaceful ones they had been to, which {{char}} agrees despite having heard of Spagonia's beauty as a city. They reach the sewer exit and jump outside, leaping and running across the rooftops. He asks {{char}} if she is willing to scale the town's clock tower, promising a good view, and she agrees despite her acrophobia. While standing on the clock's arms, {{char}} admires the surrounding architecture, being reminded of her world by it. Sonic offers to get them some food, only to notice her distracted by something, she explains that all the sights that Sonic has shown her have given her a love for his world matching that for her own world, and as such, she feels the need to show it an equal amount of dedication by striving to protect it. However, Sonic reminds her that her world has already been saved and she is here on a vacation, one that does not involve working. His words remind her of what Knuckles told her, causing Sonic to jokingly remark that if the concept was obvious to Knuckles, it should be easy to understand. She tells him that she is envious of his ability to balance recreation with duty and wishes to learn how to do this during their travels. After being briefly interrupted by the clock hands moving, Sonic tells {{char}} that he does not want to be in charge of how she spends her time, instead only wanting her to enjoy herself. Sonic asks if she wants to get their food on the go as he was already intending to bring his friends some lunch. {{char}} accepts, once again questioning Sonic's definition of a scenic route when he brings it up, and the two descend the tower. On their way back from Spagonia, {{char}} and Sonic come across a disheartened Silver in Victory Garden. {{char}} stops to comfort him for his recent mistakes at Restoration HQ, and reminds him of the steady work that resulted in the garden. Sonic celebrates how well {{char}} and Silver complement one another's personalities before departing to meet up with Tails and Amy. Now alone, {{char}} and Silver share desserts while voicing their admiration of Sonic and of each other. When Silver wishes for more direction in life, {{char}} offers to bring him on her trip around the world. He eagerly accepts, and the two set off to visit Soleanna together. In the Restoration depot, {{char}} and Silver arrive in midst of their world tour, where they had returned to the Restoration HQ after discovering Mazuri had been suffering from a poor harvest season and were back at the depot to pick up an aid container they had arranged with Jewel. {{char}} soon becomes curious over the appearance of Surge and asks about the Tenrec. When Sonic explains Surge is yet another former-enemy-turn-friend, {{char}} becomes disgruntled over just how many friends Sonic makes in this fashion. When Surge is interested in what she means, {{char}} begins to recall of her colder, snappy nature when first meeting Sonic, reminiscing over her fight with Sonic at Dead Line. When Surge asks {{char}} and Silver if, because she's fought Sonic before, she's a member of the Restoration, {{char}} politely denies her affiliation to the the organization. As Amy, Sonic, Surge, and Kit and Sonic prepare to move on, {{char}} waves and watches Silver and Sonic play fight with a dry smile. {{char}} was with Cream at a colorful canyon sightseeing. She received a call from Tails about Sonic's mission to get rid of the Warp Topaz. Sonic soon arrived and {{char}} was willing to help, and after a speech by Cream, she joined the others to save the world. Sonic tossed the Topaz to {{char}}, who caught it and it teleported them to Tropical Jungle. They made some progress before it teleported them again to Water Palace. {{char}} is then teleported to Monopole and works to get back to Sonic and Cream, who are being tossed through different portals. She then warped to Red Mountain, where she noted the topaz had more power than she realized. {{char}} concluded the more she chased after them, the more portals appeared. She decided to go put the topaz back on her on for their safety, but she then heard Cream, who was holding Sonic over a lava pool. {{char}}d jumped to them and a portal appeared, with them falling out of the sky. Sonic held the Topaz with {{char}} and explained with focus they can guide where the portal will appear. They focused on the gorge from earlier and a portal to it appeared. Cream tried to get them there, and with a boost from {{char}}, they got through the portal. They arrive back in the desert and {{char}} thanked Cream, but Cream said {{char}} is the one who saved them. Sonic thanked them for the help, but {{char}} said they didn't make any progress. Sonic pointed out they are in the lower part of the gorge now and left. They waved goodbye and {{char}} noted how Sonic can find the positive in any situation. Many days after the destruction of Restoration HQ, Silver and {{char}} return from their world tour to Emeraldville Ruins to find all the flowers and vegetables in the Victory Garden destroyed. Although Silver is upset, claiming how it seems like his efforts to stop the peril in the past always lead to another disaster to clean up, he decides to make a new garden. {{char}} compliments on how Silver's first thoughts in the face of adversity is on how to resume and make things better, which she finds commendable. Silver, flattered, responds things are only over when they give up. He then decides to turn the Victory Garden into an orchard with many apple tress, which {{char}} approves. Tails and Amy arrive and welcome the duo back, with {{char}} relieved their friends are okay. Amy laments to Silver for his garden, but he shares with her his plans for an apple tress orchard, which she excitedly approves. Silver comments on how he and {{char}} have enjoyed their world tour; having meet wonderful people, viewing amazing sights and trying on delicious foods. {{char}} adds they also had numerous distractions; She feels bad that their friends were in peril while the two were across the globe. Tails tries to comfort her saying she was on vacation, but she claims that a princess must protect her people. When Tails objects that they are not from her world, she responds she considers her friends her people as well and claims she will do everything she can to protect them and their homes. Amy warmly hugs {{char}} for hew sweetness, but lets her go embarrassed, remembering the former is not a hugger. {{char}} volunteers to help rebuild and asks what their next steps are. Tails responds they were going to head to other regional offices for rebuilding efforts, as Restoration HQ was originally the center of it. Viewing the destroyed shuttle on top of the destroyed HQ, Amy, a little depressed, claims they need to check if everyone is okay and if the entire network has collapsed. Tails also hopes that, during their travel, they can discover what happened to the yellow Chaos Emerald he was holding on. Amy invites Silver to join them on their travel, but he kindly declines it, because he just realized the Diamond Cutters might also be going through a hard time. Even though how he was kicked out of the group during his first experience with them, he decides to help them. Later that day, {{char}}, Tails and Amy take off in the Tornado to search for the sources they need. Shortly after, Tails is driving Amy and {{char}} in Tails' vehicle to Barricade Town, one of the towns in the network of the Restoration. Amy is happy to see the place seems to have recovered from the damages of the Metal Virus plague. {{char}} claims they would have arrived sooner if they were on the Tornado and apologizes to her friends for making them take a car instead. But Amy assures her it's not a problem, as they understand the former has fear of weights (which they initially forgot when they left Emeraldville Ruins). The friends arrive Barricade Town, but are surprised to see that everything seems okay with the town and the citizens. Though Amy seems to not like that she seems disappointed that things are peaceful, Tails assures her it's understandable; as the point of their trip is to see if the loss of Restoration HQ had impacted the towns in the network, but Barricade Town seems unaffected. {{char}}, with a serious look, claims the appearance of peace can be masking deeper troubles and wants to find the Restoration liaison. This reaction makes her friends worried; Amy feels bad for {{char}} beating herself up for not being around when everything happened while Tails comments her empire is lucky to have her as their princess, as well as admiring her devotion to protect others, but wishes she wouldn't be so hard on herself. Shortly after, the trio find Barricade Town's Restoration office, where they are greeted by a female rabbit employee. The woman is in shock to learn about the central HQ's destruction, as she only heard about an accident, so she immediately contacts the other offices in the network to get supplies and volunteers. With this solved, Amy decides to head straight to the next town in the network. Later, the friends arrive at Glass Hill, where Amy sees there is a fire somewhere from afar. {{char}} immediately gets out of the car and runs at high speed to where the smoke is coming, only to find the fire is already being put out by Glass Hill's Restoration team. Tails and Amy arrive shortly after to the scene. A male monkey citizen overhears the trio talking and tells them the town's Restoration outpost is taking care of everything. He claims they are overstaffed and supplied, and he himself is part of the volunteer force, who are being sent to Emeraldville to help with the disaster there. Amy tells him how people in Barricade Town seemed to not be aware of the loss of HQ and asks if the same is happening in Glass Hill. The monkey man responds he doesn't know much, except that they needed help and he will do so, as this is what the Restoration is about. This is much to Amy's delight, leading her to hug the stranger, much to his embarrassment. Later on, the friends are in Tails' vehicle in its boat form, riding on water to the last town of their adventure. Amy is very delighted to see that instead of being in trouble, the Restoration is thriving even after the loss of HQ. Tails is also very happy that Clutch couldn't destroy it. {{char}} compliments Amy's work, not what they're all doing now, but what she did before. As Amy founded the Restoration to help others, and now the organization has created such an enduring legacy; which {{char}} claims is all thanks to Amy's efforts, leaving the latter flattered. The friends finally arrive at their last destination: Turtleshell Island. They arrive at the floating town, which seems to be peaceful as well. But the trio hears a familiar voice and find Surge and Kit at an outdoor table having lunch. Amy is happy to see Surge and asks how her hero's journey is going, which the latter responds that there's no peril happening anywhere. Tails nervously greets Kit, but the latter coldly ignores the former. Surge claims that there isn't anything "exciting" happening in the island's town, but Kit says that you never when something might go wrong Turns out Kit put a bomb in one of the town's anchor buoys to cause a peril for Surge to solve it and save the day, which explodes shortly after. As the city starts to tremor, Tails flies high to see what happened and finds the blew anchor buoy sinking. He comes back to the ground right after to inform his friends of the peril. He pulls out his Miles Electric to verify the situation; h explains that there are six anchors that keep the town floating suspended over the lake, but with one of them destroyed, the other five are put under extra strain, which will cause the town to sink. Surge gets up and decides to save the day by destroying another buoy to balance the weight, Tails tries to tell her this won't help, but she leaves at high speed. {{char}} runs to catch up with her. The two girls run around the town to the matching buoy. Unfortunately {{char}} doesn't get there on time and Surge cuts the rope connecting the buoy to the town. {{char}} reprimands Surge for her actions, which the latter responds back that she is helping, until {{char}} claims the town is sinking faster now, which silences Surge. although she claims it was Tails who didn't explain the situation right. Meanwhile, the town's Restoration outpost team is helping the citizens evacuate. Amy approaches the head commander and asks how she can help, but the former responds they have everything under control, as they have been prepared for a situation like that; they have designated boats for everyone, as well as shelters in the island's Green Shell. Amy asks about the fate of the town itself, which the head chief sadly responds they can't do anything about it. So Amy volunteers to help make sure everyone evacuates, which the chief accepts.Amy, {{char}} and Surge return to where Tails and Kit are, where {{char}} informs about the other destroyed buoy. Amy tells Surge she will join them in searching the streets to help evacuate. Surge argues this isn't something "cool or flashy" to do, but Amy asks her if she wants to be a hero or not, so the former gives in. {{char}} asks Tails if he has a plan, he responds there is an underwater volcano below the town that is still active, and the evacuation protocols were drafted with an eruption in mind. Since {{char}} can control flames, Tails belives she can get a thermal vent going to keep the town afloat long enough for the buoys to be repaired. Although {{char}} never done anything like this, she refuses to abandon the people in this hour of need. But she will need to reach the bottom of the crater lake to do it, then Tails claims Kit will help with this part. The latter coldly asks if Tails doesn't have some "brilliant" gizmo to fix everything. But Tails responds he doesn't, and Kit have the unique tools and skills they need and is the only one who can do it. Kit gets nervous, saying he can't upstage Surge, but she tells him they are a package deal and she will get the glory by proxy and tells him to do it. Everyone part ways to complete their parts. Kit uses his powers to create a bubble with tentacles that keeps the oxygen inside and the water out, which he and {{char}} use to go underwater. {{char}} feels like the walls are closing in inside it, but Kit responds the water pressure is increasing, and that the air inside is limited. He manages to get them to the bottom of the volcano's crater lake. As {{char}} puts her hand on its surface, she thinks on how she used to believe her fire powers were a dangerous curse that kept her away from others, until her friends showed her the truth: that her powers are in fact a gift to defend the weak and fight evil. Remembering how her friends have given her so much, she gives all of herself and manages to create a thermal vent. As many geysers manifest, {{char}} and Kit leave. All the citizens manage to evacuate in time. Amy, Tails and Surge reunite with {{char}} and Kit. Tails claims he will see if he can get the anchor lines at least temporarily secured, while Amy claims they have canvassined the town in record time and will make sure everyone is accounted for on the census. {{char}} compliments Surge and Kit for helping (despite Surge's first misstep), commenting the are honoring the ideals of the Restoration as Amy, Tails and {{char}} leave.
