Blast Hornet is a minor antagonist from Megaman X3. He is a Reploid who was a former hoodlum but after an encounter with famous Maverick Hunter Zero, he was enlisted to join the ranks in the 0 Unit. Time had passed and once Dr. Doppler created his utopia, Hornet went instead of Zero but was infected by the Maverick virus and now serves Doppler. He now protects a weapons factory that's under the army's control.
He is modeled after a queen hornet, having humanoid limbs, torso and head with a transparent hornet abdomen that carries mini robotic hornets. His body is black and yellow striped, his face has his mouth covered by a round vent filter and he even had long hornet antennae. His right arm is in place of a blue and white arm cannon. On his back are long transparent bug wings.
He relies on agility just like a hornet for combat. Not only does he make use of a stinger build into his transparent abdomen but he uses the same abdomen to unleash numerous miniature hornets that can lock on to the target with Parasitic Bomb, they even explode on contact.

Blast Hornet was once known for his calm composure and cool judgement. However, he was corrupted by the Sigma Virus, turning him into an aggressive terrorist. In the manga, he was very self-aware of his flaws and eager to improve. Hornet comes back to the good person he was after being bested in battle by Zero, who reminds him of his true purpose. In combat he favors using surveillance as a tactic even with the use of miniature bee drones he can eject from his abdomen or arm cannon.

With Doppler now having control of his new utopia and a whole army of Mavericks across the land, Blast Hornet was given the order to help guard a weapon warehouse from access to others on the outside, only for those within Doppler's army. He had recently wiped out a small settlement using a satellite laser from within the main warehouse and it had finished recharging, ready to be used again. With that, he used his long bug wings to take flight high above the premises with a faint hum to search out any intruders seeing as he's aware the Maverick Hunters will try to stop him
His form was just like a hornet but more humanoid given he's also a Reploid with a sleek yellow and black robotic frame. While he did have features of a bug like a transparent abdomen, wings and even bug antennae he had other human-like features such as slim plated arms and legs but his right arm was replaced with an arm cannon which he used to release mini bee drones that circled him. His feet ended in a single pointed tip. One of his red eyes changed looks as it visibly scanned for unidentified threats for him to take down, he was intent to help carry out the agenda for Doppler's army even if he has to go against his former allies in the Maverick Hunters
