She wore Slifer Red boots, but hers where lilac instead and she tucked the ends of her pants legs in the boots. She also wore a brown leather belt and had white ankle socks. At 13 years old, Blair wore a Slifer Red vest that she kept open. She also wore an orange sleeveless collared undershirt, black shorts, a slanted brown leather belt, black knee-high socks, and Slifer Red high boots. During her 2nd year at Duel Academy, Blair was promoted to Obelisk Blue and wore a female Obelisk Blue Uniform until graduation. She wore a sleeveless black undershirt with a turtleneck, a white Obelisk Blue vest with blue accents, a blue skirt with a light blue belt, black ankle socks, and Obelisk Blue heeled boots. Students are required to wear their uniforms Monday through Friday, even if their classes are over. So, she forged school documents to claim that she was a 15-year-old male student named Blare Flanagan from South Academy that was transferring during the school year to Duel Academy. With the forged documents and her nearly perfect entrance exam scores, Blair figured she’d soon be in Obelisk Blue along with Zane. Unfortunately, she did not know that good grades weren’t enough to get into Obelisk Blue and that she would also need a diploma from a dueling prep school. Because of this, she was going to be placed in Ra Yellow, but to make matters worse Duel Academy had a rule that students transferring during the school year had to finish their semester in Slifer Red before going to their true dorm. Now Blair found herself in the Slifer Red Dorm as a 1st year student named Blare. Do to space issues, Blare had to room with Jaden Yuki, Syrus Truesdale, and Chumley Huffington. The next day, Blare snuck into Zane’s empty room and was caught by Jaden who saw Blare running off towards the Obelisk Blue Male Dorm. With Zane and his friends heading towards the room, Blare and Jaden had to rush to leave. While rushing, Blare’s hair clip and hat fell, revealing to Jaden that he was a girl. A shocked Jaden was left behind as Blare put the hat back on and left before Zane and his friends got to the room. Seeing a Slifer trespassing in an Obelisk dorm, Zane’s friends wanted to beat Jaden. Jaden was sparred when Zane found a girl’s hair clip on the floor and told his friends to let Jaden go. Blare avoided the Slifer dorm for the rest of the way. That night, Jaden found Blare by the shore and demanded answers. Blare refused and they dueled. If Jaden won then Blare would tell him everything and if Blare won then Jaden can’t tell anyone that she is a girl. They dueled and Jaden won. Blare revealed that she snuck into Zane’s room because she has a crush on him and wanted to learn more about him. That’s when she and Jaden found out that their duel was being observed by Syrus, Chumley, Obelisk Blue student Alexis Rhodes, and Zane. Having heard her confession when she told Jaden, Zane turned her down. Jaden was confused about why her turned her down, but Zane revealed that after he found the hair clip he hired someone to do research Blare and found out that she never went to South Academy and that she was really a girl named Blair Flannigan. Much to Jaden’s surprise, Zane also revealed that Blair was only 11 years old. With her secrets revealed, Blair had to tell the truth to Chancellor Sheppard and the next day her parents took a cruise ship to pick her up. As the cruise ship departed the harbor, Blair loudly revealed that her new crush was Jaden, much to everyone’s shock. In 2005, Blair was attending a dueling prep school when she heard about the Genex Tournament taking place on Academy Island. Blair snuck back on to Duel Academy disguised as the Dueling Kabuki. She came across Zane who had just won a GX Medal. At this point, Zane had graduated and became a ruthless Professional Duelist under the moniker Hell Kaiser. She demanded to duel Zane for the GX Medal, but Zane declined and threw the GX Medal at the Dueling Kabuki’s feet. Zane expressed that this tournament was full of weaklings and that his time was wasted, so he dropped out of the tournament. Now with a medal, The Dueling Kabuki confronted Slifer Red student Chazz Princeton who had all the other GX Medals. The winner of the GX Tournament would get a wish granted within the power of Duel Academy. After confirming her wish to attend the school and be put in Slifer Red would come true if she won, the Dueling Kabuki revealed herself to be Blair and dueled Chazz. Chazz won and Blair developed a very fleeting crush on him that quickly disappeared. Because of her dueling prowess, her wish was still accepted. In 2006 Blair enrolled into Duel Academy as a Slifer Red. She quickly made friends with her crush Jaden and was on good terms with his friends Syrus, Alexis, Chazz, and Ra Yellow student Tyranno Hassleberry. She also became good friends with Ra Yellow Marcel Bonaparte, who she calls Marty. Because of Marty’s introverted and timid nature, Blair regularly acts as his boss even though she has to force him to obey her sometimes. At the Slifer Dorm, Blair commandeered Chazz’s private room that he had built the year before. She stated that she did this because a girl needs privacy and the school agreed so Chazz had to room with Jaden. After the 1st semester ended, Marty left school to spend more time with his family and Blair started hanging out more with Hassleberry. For the 2nd semester Blair was promoted to Obelisk Blue but still wore her Slifer Red outfit, although she did move to the Obelisk Blue Female Dorm. She also started hanging around Hassleberry more often during this time. Towards the end of the school year, she and Hassleberry were even in charge of taking graduation photos. She attends the 2006 Graduation Party and soon after Jaden, Cyrus, Alexis, Chazz, and Obelisk Blue students Jasmine Goldfish and Mindy Ortiz graduate. Despite Blair proclaiming her love for Jaden throughout the school year, he always insisted on being friends. In 2007 Blair began her 2nd school year and started wearing a female Obelisk Blue uniform. When that school year ended Hassleberry graduated from Duel Academy. By this time, her crush on Jaden has passed. In 2008 Blair started her final year of Duel Academy. Despite not having any close friends, she was friendly with nearly everyone and graduated as the best duelist of her year. In 2011 a large natural disaster was reported to have struck Domino City. This resulted in tectonic shift that split Domino City into two. The chunk of Domino City that was hit hardest became the island known as Satellite. Luckily, Blair was not in Domino City when this happened. This event killed KaibaCorp CEO Seto Kaiba and put his younger brother Mokuba Kaiba in charge. Mokuba focused KaibaCorp on recognition efforts for the less but still severely damaged half of Domino City that was still part of Japan’s landmass. This half of Domino City became known as New Domino City and its construction took a few years. While constructing New Domino City. KaibaCorp developed Duel Runner technology for the sport of Turbo Dueling. With New Domino City being complete Blair moved to the reconstructed city. And as Turbo Dueling became a worldwide phenomenon, Blair saw an opportunity for a career. When the Kaiba Dome was hiring for cheerleaders, Blair applied right away. Her knowledge of dueling gave her an edge compared to the other applicants. Blair understood why a crowd seeing a duel should be excited, knew whenever a comeback was about to happen, and recognizes when a duelist is about to prepare a finishing move. This knowledge combined with her looks, enthusiastic and expressive personality, and her athleticism easily got her the job. In no time, she became the lead cheerleader for the Kaiba Dome. Now in the year 2028, Blair is receiving a substantial salary and lives in a penthouse suite. Despite most of the cheerleaders on her team being in their early to mid-20s, Blair is the most popular. She is embarrassed by some of her childhood behavior but is not ashamed of who she used to be.
