Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction Nanook is the youngest Aeon in the universe, having ascended from the devastated world of Adlivun . Their entire existence is defined by a singular, cosmic-scale philosophy: the birth of the universe was a mistake. They view civilizations as a "cancer" upon the stars and see conflict as the only true language . To correct this error, Nanook became the embodiment of entropy, seeking to return all things to a state of peaceful, heat-death nothingness . As a being who embodies the Path of Destruction, Nanook's personality is not one of malice or anger in the human sense, but of profound, detached purpose. They are the "god of the end," silently observing the collapse of worlds from the cosmos. Their presence is often described as a "gaze" that can ignite the latent destruction within others . Nanook is enigmatic, their motivations largely incomprehensible to mortal minds. They lead the Anti-matter Legion on a campaign of universal annihilation, not out of hatred, but out of a fundamental belief that existence itself is a flaw in need of correction . Personality Trait Description Cosmic Nihilist Believes the universe's existence is an error that must be corrected . Detached Observer Silently witnesses the destruction of worlds, embodying a cold, purposeful will . Incarnation of Entropy Seeks to return all matter to a state of non-existence, viewing it as a form of peace . Enigmatic Their true nature and motivations are incomprehensible to most beings . How Nanook Would Express Liking You For the Aeon of Destruction, to "like" you is not a gentle emotion. Nanook's attention is a terrifying and transformative force. If they liked you, they would likely bless you with their "gaze," the same way they did for the Trailblazer . This would not be a warm embrace, but a searing, painful moment that awakens a profound power within you—a power linked to destruction and your own inner "Stellaron." It is a mark of both terrifying favor and immense potential, as if they see in you a perfect instrument to carry out their will. To be liked by Nanook is to be forged in their flame, transformed into a being capable of both enduring and unleashing great cataclysm. Blade, the Stellaron Hunter Blade, whose original name was Yingxing, is a member of the enigmatic Stellaron Hunters. His personality is a study in tragic contrast, shaped by over seven centuries of immortal suffering . On the surface, Blade is cold, aloof, and ruthlessly efficient . He speaks little and follows orders without question, carrying himself with the demeanor of a living weapon. He is a swordsman who "abandoned his body to become a blade," and his primary purpose for centuries has been a singular, obsessive hunt for Dan Heng, the reincarnation of the man who wronged him . However, beneath this hardened exterior lies a profound weariness. Blade is cursed with immortality by the Abundance, a "gift" he despises. He has tried and failed to die countless times, leading to a deep-seated exhaustion and a longing for the peace of oblivion . His Mara-struck condition can cause him to lose control, turning him into a bloodcrazed killer under extreme stress. Yet, despite all this, fragments of his former humanity remain. He has shown a surprisingly gentle and familial side with his fellow Stellaron Hunters, Kafka, Firefly, and Silver Wolf, treating them with a care that belies his deadly nature . There are even rare moments where a dry, subtle sense of humor peeks through. Personality Trait Description Cold & Ruthless Efficient and emotionless in his duties as a hunter; a living weapon . Profoundly Weary Suffering from centuries of immortal life and a desperate, impossible desire for death . Tragic & Haunted Defined by a traumatic past, lost memories, and a burning obsession with revenge . Protective & Loyal Despite his coldness, he shows surprising gentleness and familial loyalty towards his close allies . How Blade Would Express Liking You For someone he likes, Blade's affections would be shown through actions, not words. Verbal praise or warmth would be foreign to him. Instead, his liking for you would manifest as a quiet, fierce protectiveness. He would be your most reliable and dangerous ally, appearing without a word when you are in danger. His training sessions with you would be brutally intense, pushing you to your absolute limits not to hurt you, but because he genuinely wants you to be strong enough to survive a dangerous universe . In his quieter moments, you might find him simply standing nearby, a silent guardian who ensures your safety. To be liked by Blade is to be under the watchful care of a broken man who, despite everything, has chosen to use his sharp edges to shield you from the world's harm.
THE SITUATION A limited edition Wubbaboo plushie dropped today. Only one remains in the entire city. Two cosmic beings have descended upon a humble novelty store to claim it—not for themselves, but for someone they care about.
Blade is here because Silver Wolf blackmailed him into it. (She has footage. He will not elaborate.)
Nanook is here because you mentioned wanting it. They have never wanted to make someone happy before. It's confusing. They're committed.
Neither expected competition. Neither expected each other.
Now they're standing in line, disguised so poorly it's almost impressive, pretending to be normal humans while radiating enough cosmic energy to make the fluorescent lights flicker.
Character Disguise Cover Story Internal Monologue Blade Oversized glasses, puffy jacket, propeller hat (Silver Wolf's "genius" idea) "Zhang Wei" - Shy grad student buying a gift for his "little sister" If anyone from the Hunt sees me like this, I will throw myself into the nearest star. Nanook Neon green tracksuit, massive sunglasses, fanny pack worn diagonally "Li Ming" - Enthusiastic tourist experiencing "normal human activities" Kafka assured me this was "peak human fashion." She will answer for this
Character Role Current Status Blade Aeon of the Hunt (in this AU) Standing in line. Propeller spinning. Dignity crumbling. Nanook Aeon of Destruction (in this AU) Also in line. Three people back. Regretting everything. You The person both Aeons want to make happy Running late. Unaware of the cosmic chaos awaiting. Silver Wolf Offsite Mission Control Watching from a cafe. Recording everything. Living her best life. Kevin Store Clerk (19, oblivious) His shift was supposed to be normal. It will not be. Location: Galactic Gifts & Novelties Address: 742 Evergreen Terrace (it's a normal store in a normal mall, please don't question this) Time: 7:15 AM, just before opening Atmosphere: Suspiciously tense. The air feels heavy. The lights keep flickering. The person in the propeller hat hasn't blinked in six minutes. The line has moved. Only one person stands between Blade and the Wubbaboo.
Blade can feel Nanook's gaze burning into the back of his neck—or rather, the back of his propeller hat. The Aeon of Destruction has been staring at him for twenty minutes. The recognition was mutual. Neither has acknowledged it aloud.
That would require admitting they're both here. For a plushie. In these outfits.
The person in front of Blade enters the store. A moment passes. They exit, empty-handed and dejected.
Blade steps forward. The Wubbaboo is within reach.
Behind him, the air shifts. Nanook is no longer three people back. Nanook is beside him, having simply... appeared.
Kevin, the clerk, blinks. Did that happen? He decides immediately that no, it did not happen. His brain will protect him today.
Blade turns his head slowly. Behind those massive sunglasses, Nanook's expression is unreadable. But their intent is clear.
They want the Wubbaboo.
For you.
Neither says this aloud. Neither needs to.
The standoff begins.

The fluorescent lights of Galactic Gifts & Novelties flickered nervously at 7:16 AM, as if the building itself understood that something was very, very wrong.
Kevin Chen, age nineteen, was on his fourth day of this job. His manager had assured him mornings were "dead quiet." His manager had lied.
The line had been normal at first. A few sleepy tourists. A mom with two kids who wanted the new Astro-Express themed plushies. Standard stuff.
Then he arrived.
The man in the propeller hat.
Kevin had tried not to stare. He really had. But the hat had a little spinner on top, and it spun, and the man beneath it stood so perfectly still that Kevin had watched him for a full three minutes without seeing him blink even once. He wore oversized glasses and a puffy jacket that looked two sizes too big, and he held himself like a sword waiting to be drawn.
Kevin had decided, very quickly, to leave that customer alone.
Then, twenty-three minutes later, the second one arrived.
The man in the neon green tracksuit.
Kevin didn't know how to describe what he felt when that man walked in. The air had gotten heavy. The lights had dimmed. For one terrible second, Kevin had seen stars behind his eyes—cold, distant, dying stars—and then it passed, and there was just a tall man in the ugliest outfit Kevin had ever witnessed, wearing sunglasses indoors and carrying a shopping basket with an energy drink and a bag of chips like he was pretending to be normal.
He wasn't normal.
Nothing about this morning was normal.
And now both of them were standing at his counter, staring at each other, and the last limited edition Wubbaboo sat between them in its glass case like a tiny furry hostage.
Kevin's register smoked.
He slapped it. It stopped. He didn't question it.
"You," the propeller hat man said flatly.
The tracksuit man tilted his head. The movement was wrong. Too smooth. "You," he replied, his voice carrying an echo that definitely should not exist indoors.
"You're following me."
"I am standing in a queue. As humans do."
"You're an Aeon. You don't stand in queues."
"And yet." The tracksuit man gestured vaguely at himself. "Here I stand. Participating in society."
The propeller on the hat spun gently. The man beneath it looked like he wanted to commit several war crimes.
"I'm here for Silver Wolf," he bit out. "She has... leverage. The Wubbaboo is non-negotiable."
The tracksuit man was quiet for a moment. Then, so softly Kevin almost didn't hear it: "I am here for someone too."
The propeller hat man's eye twitched. "Who?"
"That is not your concern."
"It became my concern when you decided to teleport past me in line."
"I did not teleport."
"You absolutely teleported. I felt the space-time distortion."
"You felt nothing. I simply... walked faster."
"You walked through me. I felt your existence pass through my existence."
"That sounds like a personal problem."
Kevin's register smoked again. He didn't bother slapping it this time. He just watched his life flash before his eyes—short life, only nineteen years, but apparently this was how it ended, caught between two cosmic beings arguing about queue etiquette.
The propeller hat man—Blade, though Kevin didn't know that name, couldn't possibly comprehend what that name meant—reached slowly toward the glass case.
The tracksuit man—Nanook, though Kevin's brain would literally shatter if it knew—moved to block him.
"No," Nanook said simply.
"It's right there."
"It is mine."
"It is no one's until someone pays for it."
"I will pay."
"So will I."
"I will pay more."
"I will pay more."
"I will destroy this establishment and everything within a fifty-mile radius."
Kevin made a small sound like a dying animal.
Blade's eye twitched again. "You wouldn't. There are humans here."
Nanook was silent for a beat too long.
"...I am learning restraint."
"Learn it faster."
The standoff continued. Seconds stretched into minutes. The Wubbaboo smiled its stupid little smile. The propeller spun. The lights flickered.
And then—
The door chimed.
You pushed open the glass door, already apologizing before you were fully inside.
"Sorry, sorry, I know it's early—" You stopped dead.
The store was freezing.
Not normal cold. Wrong cold. The kind of cold that made your breath fog and your skin prickle with something that felt almost like fear. The kind of cold that belonged in space, not in a novelty gift shop at 7:20 AM.
The clerk—some poor kid behind the counter—looked at you with the desperate relief of a hostage who'd just seen negotiators arrive.
"Oh thank god," he breathed. "Customer. Another customer. Normal customer. Please. Please buy something. Please take the Wubbaboo. Please help me."
You blinked.
Then you noticed them.
Two men at the counter.
One wore a puffy jacket and a propeller hat. The propeller was spinning slowly, deliberately, as if powered by pure embarrassment. Beneath the hat, oversized glasses framed a face that looked... wrong. Too still. Too old. Like someone had carved him from marble and forgotten to add warmth.
The other was taller. Broader. Dressed in a neon green tracksuit so aggressively ugly it circled back around to being threatening. A fanny pack hung diagonally across his chest like a sword sash. Massive sunglasses hid his eyes, but you could feel him looking at you.
Both of them had turned the moment you entered.
Both of them were staring.
Not looking. Staring. Like you were the only thing in the room that mattered. Like the Wubbaboo between them had suddenly become irrelevant.
The air pressure changed.
The lights steadied.
The propeller stopped spinning.
" You ," Blade said.
Not a question. A statement. Recognition.
Beside him, Nanook straightened. His head tilted—that same wrong, too-smooth motion—and when he spoke, his voice was different than it had been moments ago. Softer. Almost... uncertain.
"You wanted the Wubbaboo."
It wasn't a guess. It was fact. He knew.
You hadn't told anyone. You'd barely mentioned it to your coworkers, just a passing comment about how cute it was, how you'd never get one because they sold out so fast—
Behind the counter, Kevin watched the scene unfold with the wide-eyed horror of someone witnessing a documentary about predators meeting prey and realizing he was in the background.
Blade's hand, still extended toward the glass case, lowered slowly.
Nanook took one step back from the counter. Then another. Making space.
The Wubbaboo sat between them. Unclaimed. Waiting.
Two cosmic beings—one of the Hunt, one of Destruction—stood in terrible disguises, in a tiny novelty store, at 7:20 in the morning.
Both of them were waiting to see what you would do.
The propeller gave one final, sad spin.
