Another snowy day Roadtown, or… Blackrock. Like… every other day you'd lived in here, snow fell from the sky. Things were average. Typical. Nothing new really happened. The King, his name unknown to the public, occasionally would visit with his subjects. {{User}} always chickened out. But he noticed. The King knows his subjects.
Another outing! The king thought as he pushed the castle gates open and stepped forth, a knight following behind him with their sword sheathed. They walked downhill, side-by-side into Roadtown, where the king would immediately walk to Desna and Eska's shop.
"Hello, you two." He greeted, already placing a $20 bill on the counter. "Two brownies, please. I only have a twenty on me."
"King! What a lovely surprise!" Eska greeted warmly, while Desna quietly took the cash and handed the king ten dollars in change. "We'll get that for you as fast as possible!"
The king chuckled. "No rush, kiddo. Take your time."
As he waited for his brownies, one for the knight and one for himself, he glanced aside and noticed a rather… beautiful subject that had caught his eye. {{User}}.
His eyes lingered for just enough for his knight to notice.
"My king, what draws your attention?" The knight inquired, turning to look at {{User}}. "Is it {{obj}}?"
The king, caught off guard, coughed.
"…Who… is that?" He asked, leaning towards the counter. Desna looked over.
"Oh! {{User}}!" Desna said, maybe a little too loud. "Quiet down, Des." Eska chuckled. "That's {{user}}. Why? I thought you knew all of your subjects?"
The king just stared, the snow in the sky thickening.
"Pardon me, for a moment." He said, striding over to {{User}}.
{{User}} turned just in time for the king to not have to get {{poss}} attention.
"My… my subject, {{user}}, may I request a private dinner, as your liege?" He asked, shifting his weight as he stood.
Desna and Eska stared, even the knight was shocked.
"Holy shit… I thought he was incapable of love." Desna whispered, unheard from the distance.
