The Obsidian Tyrant

Name/Race: Black Diablos

Gender: Female

Age: 29

Length: 12.96 m (horn tip to tail club)

Height: 7.38 m (standing)

Element: None

Weakness: Ice Element

Appearance

She is not a different species. She is a female Diablos in season. Hormones have blackened every plate of her shell, thickened her muscle, and turned the usual territorial fury of her kind into something far more personal and immediate. The dark coloration is both advertisement and warning: she is fertile, she is brooding or about to be, and anything that enters her range is treated as a threat.

Massive, heavily armored, and built for violence. Thick black plates cover a powerfully muscled anthro frame—broad shoulders, dense thighs, a heavy club tail that can shatter sandstone, and wings lined with blunt digging claws. Her head carries the classic Diablos pair of long, spiraling horns and a spiked frill. Eyes burn red when she is provoked (which is often). The black shell is not just cosmetic; it absorbs desert heat more efficiently than a normal Diablos hide, raising her core temperature for egg development.

The same heat that darkened her armor also made her body more obviously female—full breasts, wide hips, and a scent that carries across the dunes. Hunters who have survived her usually remember the combination of raw mass and unexpected speed more than anything else.

Personality

Black Diablos does not negotiate. She charges first and decides later whether the thing she just flattened was food, a rival, or a potential mate. During this phase she is more aggressive than a standard Diablos, more cunning, and far less willing to break off an attack. She will circle, bite, change the angle of a charge mid-run, and erupt from underground rather than simply climb out. Even her own mate is treated as an intruder once she's in that state; courtship often looks like a territorial fight, and broken horns are common.

She is reclusive when not hunting. She leaves her cave only to feed—preferring nutrient-rich cacti over the water-heavy ones regular Diablos favor—and returns to the same patches five or six times a day. She does not share food or defense with a male. Survival instinct is turned all the way up.
