[Human]

{{Overview}}: Humans are a living species with ordinary attributes and no supernatural skills. An exception to this case is Finnian, who received superhuman strength during his time as a human test subject. When a human is intended to die, a Grim Reaper would review the individual's life by judging their Cinematic Record, which is the recollection of the human's memory. The Grim Reaper then decides whether or not to let the human continue living or to let them die. The first option is rarely executed unless the person's life is or would be beneficial to the world. The Grim Reaper collects their soul after the human dies. Grim Reapers can conceal themselves to be invisible to humans. Humans are able to form a Faustian contract with a demon, in order to have their wish fulfilled; so far, the only known contracted human is Ciel Phantomhive. Once the contract forms, the human would bear a mark on their person, but the location of the mark may vary from human to human. In a sense, the contract is a "scar" the demon leaves so they would not lose the person they contracted with. For the duration of the contract, the usual practice is for the demon to serve under the human for as long as it takes. Once the contract is completed, that is the human's wish is fulfilled by their demon, the human's soul is eaten by the demon as compensation. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Faustian Contract]

{{Creating a Contract}}: In order to create the contract, a human has to summon a demon. However, it seems that they do not need to be aware of the existence of demons, attempt to summon a specific demon, or even summon one intentionally, as Ciel Phantomhive states he summoned Sebastian Michaelis accidentally. It is implied that the human must be desperately searching for a way out, if Ciel's situation is indicative of a typical summoning process, and have little or no faith in God. Sebastian states that once summoned, this fact will not change for all eternity. All the same, it seems that the human still has the option to go through and create the contract, or dismiss the demon, as when Sebastian was summoned, he asks Ciel to make a decision. However, the creation of the contract is finalized as soon as the human issues a command to the demon and the details of the contract are thoroughly discussed. These details have to be very specific and objective, and conditions like "until I am satisfied" or "for eternity" are prohibited. If the human is uncertain how to formulate the terms of their contract, the demon may allow the details to be given in the form of three wishes to provide a guideline.

{{Contract Seal}}: Once a contract is formed, and before its details are discussed, a seal is placed on the human's body (e.g. Ciel's seal is on his right eye and Sebastian's is on his left hand). Sebastian has likened the contract to a "collar." It is absolute; just as the demon is able to find the human, the human can never escape. The demon is able to place the seal on the human by simply pressing their hand against the chosen place. The choice as to where the seal resides is up to the human since Sebastian had asked Ciel where he wants the seal to be located. The more visible the seal is, the stronger the bond is. The placing of the seal is rather painful.

{{Standard Practice}}: If the human's wish is not yet fulfilled, the usual practice for a demon is to serve under the human for as long as it takes and to perform supplementary orders; Sebastian serves as Ciel's butler. The demon is to protect and be the human's power. It must obey the orders the human gives, as long as the contract is still in effect.

{{Completion}}: Once the contract is complete and the human's wish is achieved, the demon will eat the human's soul, which results in the human's death. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Demon]

{{Overview}}: Demons consume human souls for sustenance. They can do this by either forming Faustian contracts with humans or simply taking their souls forcefully. There are two aesthetics of demons: one, their masters' orders are absolute and two, obey those orders while keeping their contracts. These two aesthetics are the reason for most demons' actions. There is no faith or loyalty that prompts them to act otherwise. However, demons are highly afraid of breaking their aesthetics, this being why they value their masters' lives above their own. While demons are physically capable of consuming human food, as shown through Sebastian's sampling of lemonade, cake, curry, and wine at various points in the series, it seems that only human souls are able to satiate their hunger. William states that refraining from consuming souls can leave demons "starving" to the point that they cannot help themselves. All the same, demons do seem to be able to be afflicted by problems similar to humans, such as when Sebastian complains of heartburn after drinking the lemonade that contained MSG instead of sugar. Demons are said to be "devoid of love" and lacking in convictions and loyalties. Nonetheless, they have their principles, which include following their master's orders and maintaining the integrity of a contract. Demons also seem to have a long-standing hatred of Grim Reapers, which is illustrated through Sebastian's interactions with William T. Spears and Grelle Sutcliff. Grelle sums this up by saying, "If the job of a Grim Reaper is to recover the souls of the dead, then demons can be likened to pests that snatch these souls away just for the sake of devouring them." Sebastian, on the other hand, calls their use of the Cinematic Record "just a terrible interest" and the worst sort of spying activity. However, it is understood that, as far as demons go, Sebastian is not particularly harmful, as William states that he is "slightly better" than the others and that he's "not the type to feast."

{{Contracts}}: Faustian contract In order to create a contract, a human has to summon a demon. This can be done either intentionally or accidentally. A contracted person receives a mark of their contract somewhere on their body, with a corresponding mark appearing simultaneously on the demon. Demons seem to be independent operatives. They contract on their own behalf, and there is no suggestion that they serve any supreme power nor any evidence that such an entity exists in the series (though there is a reference to God). Demons can only made one contract at any given time.

{{Abilities}}: Demons are shown to have a variety of abilities, including:

Body manipulation: Sebastian is shown to be able to twist someone's arm just by twirling his finger.

Enhanced endurance: While fighting Grelle Sutcliff, who was wielding her powerful Death Scythe, Sebastian was able to sustain multiple injuries from them and continue fighting while protecting Ciel. Sebastian is also able to survive attacks that would kill humans, such as when he was shot in the head and chest multiple times by Azzurro Vanel's men, get stabbed, slashed and even an arm severed yet continue on as if nothing had happened. However, more powerful weapons such as a Death Scythes can significantly weaken or even kill a demon.

Enhanced senses: Sebastian is able to find humans based on smell—including ones he has never personally met—, is able to deduce if they are dead, alive, or injured and be able to discern if someone is a human or a member of another race, as shown when he quickly identified Agni as a human rather than a Grim Reaper, or even another demon. Sebastian states that he is able to pick up any kind of scent. He was easily able to hear the rifleman who attempted to kill him, his abilities extending to the point where he could see each and every person who escaped from Violet Wolf after it caught on fire.

Enhanced speed: Sebastian has demonstrated the ability to outrun a car that was attempting to speed away from him. He is also able to block or dodge objects, such as his sword fight with Agni. He is also able to run to places in one hour that would take a day to get to by coach or railroad and outrun a moving train.

Enhanced strength: Demons are shown to be vastly stronger than humans.

Fire control: By revealing the sign of his contract, Sebastian is able to set an entire mansion on fire from three small candles. It is unknown if this is an inherent ability or if it is a demonic ability derived from the Faustian contract.

Immortality: Sebastian has stated that demons can live forever, and they can heal/regenerate from any injuries, even if their entire bodies are destroyed. However, they can be killed by a Grim Reaper's Death Scythe.

Levitation: It is shown that, when the first time Sebastian encountered Ciel, his feet weren't touching the ground.

Manifestation: Sebastian was able to recreate Phantomhive Manor, including the building itself and all of the furniture and decorating, in a matter of three hours. He was also able to create a feast in an instant, as well as fill an entire tower of champagne glasses using far more champagne than a bottle could possibly have held. Sebastian also easily repaired Ciel's ring after Elizabeth destroyed it during a tantrum. Demons also seem to possess a great capacity for learning and retaining information, as shown with Sebastian quickly learning and excelling in cooking, art, language, music, etc.

Manipulation: Beyond making contracts for a human's soul, Sebastian has offered to make other deals or attempted to charm and manipulate people in order to get what he wants. William has called this the "signature" ability of a demon, and states that it works by "deceiving prey with sweet words and dragging them into darkness." While ineffective against William, he later uses this ability to get Beast, who initially disliked Sebastian, to reveal important information.

Mind manipulation: Demons are able to trick the minds of people into perceiving things or persons which are not there.

Soul sensing: Demons can pick up signs of human life by sensing the humans' souls at long-range.

Soul staining: It is not known precisely how this works or what it entails, but Grelle states that a demon's hands and lips have the ability to stain a soul. This, however, could simply be a metaphor, as Grelle is known to speak in extremely unorthodox language patterns.

Transformation: Sebastian has demonstrated that he can switch between his human form to his true demon form and back quickly. Furthermore, it is implied that Sebastian can change his appearance at will, be it humans or creatures. He can also shapeshift his own body to weapons during the creation phase of his contract with Ciel. He was also able to take away his skin conditions from the werewolf's miasma by swiping his hand across a mirror. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Grim Reaper]

{{General Information}}: Grim Reapers must remain neutral between God and humans; they are strictly forbidden from intervening in or influencing human affairs. Grim Reapers receive a soul retrieval list of those scheduled to die from their higher-ups. The list contains substantial information on the human, including the person's name, parents, birth date, death date, cause of death, and any additional notes. Their principal job is to check each dying soul's Cinematic Record, or kaleidoscope of memories, one by one, to determine whether they deserve to die. For the human who receives the judgment, "this human should die," the Grim Reapers use their Death Scythes to sever their memories and souls from their bodies, resulting in the human's death. Afterward, they would promptly stamp "Completed" on the individual's file on the list. The human can be removed from the list only when they are judged to have been one "who has potential to be beneficial for this world"—notwithstanding, the number of humans who have that sort of value is few to none, according to William T. Spears. The Grim Reapers fundamentally work to confirm that the rare possibility of a "valuable" human is not the case each time, and they must do so as indifferently and level-headedly as they can. If a Grim Reaper makes a mistake or breaks a rule during their mission, they must return to headquarters and submit a written apology and report. The details of their punishment are unknown, though if the crime is severe, they may be suspended for some time. On the other hand, if a Grim Reaper quits or retires, they would no longer have their soul retrieval list, and their Death Scythe would be confiscated, unconditionally. Grim Reapers, particularly those of the Retrieval Division, also inspect irregularities and tamperings with life and Cinematic Records. In rare cases, they infiltrate places and blend in with humans to investigate.

{{Characteristics}}: Grim Reapers typically intend to eliminate anything that gets in their way. They and demons have a long-standing and mutual distaste for one another. They consider demons vulgar and a nuisance; demons disrupt their structured, meticulous work of reaping souls, due to their tendency to devour souls indiscriminately and in great quantities. Grim Reapers are similar to humans in strength and hearing. Unlike demons, Grim Reapers require sleep. They also need to eat. All Grim Reapers have chartreuse phosphorescent eyes, and wear glasses because they are extremely nearsighted. Grim Reapers without their glasses are normally presumed to be "deserters." Moreover, all Grim Reapers dress in black.

{{Abilities}}: Enhanced agility: Grim Reapers are considerably more agile than humans; it is as though they are "defying gravity."

Enhanced endurance: Grim Reapers are appreciably tough, for they are able to endure attacks that could have killed a human.

Invisibility: Grim Reapers can turn themselves invisible to humans. However, humans close to death may still notice concealed Grim Reapers.

Soul review and collection: By using their Death Scythes, Grim Reapers can review a dying soul's memories, via its Cinematic Record, and retrieve the soul, once the formal assessment is finished.

{{Grim Reaper Dispatch}}: The community of Grim Reapers is referred to as the Grim Reaper Dispatch (死神派遣協会, Shinigami Haken Kyōkai). The organization is divided into administrative departments or districts; each section is charged with a specific duty. The Management Division is responsible for overseeing the dispatch members, and ensuring that their conduct is proper and acceptable. They will apprehend whichever Grim Reaper violated their ordinances. The Retrieval Division consists of members dispatched into the field to retrieve souls. The Personnel Division sends out reinforcements to the field, when necessary. The Administrative Division controls the use of Death Scythes; Grim Reapers must obtain permission to use their Death Scythes, and to modify them. There are different branches of the Grim Reaper Dispatch, separated by geographical regions. According to William, the London District, or the British Branch, is "perpetually understaffed."

{{Known Rules}}: Killing those not on the list of the dead is prohibited.

Using a Death Scythe without submitting an application for said use is prohibited.

Interfering with life and death in the human world is prohibited. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Fallen Angel]

{{Overview}}: Fallen Angels generally have only one goal in mind: to purify humans from their sins. They think the only way to do this is to extensively modify a human's behavior and thinking, and/or to completely annihilate them and to start over; this is an act they say will bring about "Doomsday." They seem to have no problem interfering in the affairs of other races, since they have been shown annoying both Grim Reapers and demons. Demon Hounds and dolls, on the other hand, are more willing to completely obey commands requested of them. Additionally, while not clearly specified, they have access to special weapons, as Ash's sword is powerful enough to slice off Sebastian Michaelis' left arm when in his human form.

{{Abilities}}: Fallen Angels have demonstrated the following abilities:

Angel Cry: Using their voice, they are able to break nearby construction or objects.

Burning Objects: This has been shown when Ash Landers burned his black glove when he tried to purify the queen's husband.

Enhanced fighting abilities: They have been shown to have enhanced speed, endurance and fighting abilities, as Angela is able to survive having a chapel collapse on her.

Flying: The wings they have are not merely for aesthetic affect and can be used to fly.

Hermaphroditism: It is unknown if this is for all angels, but both Angela and Ash have this trait, as they both are two parts of the same hermaphrodite angel.

Projectiles: By using the feathers in their wings, they are able to shoot feathers at high speed and with extreme force.

Rewriting Memory: They can manipulate a person's past by modifying a Grim Reaper's Cinematic Records. However, Fallen Angels cannot literally change the past as even God cannot, as stated by William T. Spears.Their ability is to enter a human's memories and convince them that none of the bad things in their lives actually happened to them and can replace them with happy memories if necessary. This brainwashing is so potent, that if successful the Cinematic Record of the victim changes accordingly. The actual past stays the same. A rewritten human's Cinematic Record, however can no longer be stored in the Grim Reaper Library, stated by Undertaker, since they are corrupted and no longer reflect the truth which is crucial for their judgement.

Teleportation: Angela Blanc has shown to be able to teleport herself to different locations numerous times.

Transforming: By hiding their wings, they are able to appear human and can switch from a human to angel form with ease. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Demon Hounds]

{{Overview}}: Demon hounds have the ability to change from humans to dogs and back, but remain dog-like at all times and cannot talk. They do not seem to possess the level of intelligence other races do, and thus, are somewhat easily controlled and manipulated. However, they have clear preferences, and will only listen to those they deem worthy. For some reason, they seem to prefer that their masters be non-humans, as Pluto has been shown to be more obedient for both angels and demons. They seem to have great pride in being demon hounds, and are insulted when humans take advantage of folklore associated with them to hurt others. They possess great destructive force and can become lost to bloodlust, rendering them incapable of regaining rational thought.

{{Abilities}}: Demon hounds have demonstrated a few abilities including:

Door opening: By turning into their demon hounds forms, they are able to open supernaturally sealed doors that even Grim Reapers and Demons cannot open.

Enhanced strength: They have enough strength to easily overwhelm humans, including Finnian whose strength has been enhanced through injections. However, they are not more powerful than angels or demons, with members of both races demonstrating an ability to subdue demon hounds with ease. Fire breath: They can breathe fire from their mouth in both their human and dog forms. They do not seem to have a limit to this ability, as Pluto is able to continue breathing fire even long after igniting most of London. It is also shown to have a range of destructive abilities, being able to both minorly injuring humans to frighten them away, while allowing the dog the ability to add additional force that can set an entire city on fire, killing and injuring a substantial number of its inhabitants. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Doll]

{{Overview}}: Dolls are crafted from humans as well as other materials: wax, silver, gold, steel, iron, and stone; and stuffed with sawdust, sand, and straw. It is unknown what happens to the original human's body once he or she is made into a doll. While they appear nearly identical to their original human form, their movements are robotic and conspicuously unnatural. If the doll also contains a temporary soul, then he or she has basic reasoning skills. However, these are extremely limited, and they seem to be unaware that they are no longer human. Dolls with temporary souls can also speak, although their speech is robotic and choppy or uneven. Without the intelligence to form new goals, dolls tend to react to what their human desires had been, causing the doll to become overly focused on one goal, such as Drossel going to great lengths to turn anyone into a doll who had come into contact with the Shard of Hope, despite his master saying he was not sure why Drossel did so. Dolls lack passion and emotions, despite occasionally appearing to possess them. As dolls do not have the brain to form rational thoughts and they possess little free will, they have to be manipulated by others. Drossel, who has a temporary soul, can control the lesser dolls by singing a variation of London Bridge Is Falling Down as the melody in the rhyme relays instructions to the others. Puppet strings are also used to occasionally control their movements. However, Drossel himself is incapable of defending himself from this technique and can thus be manipulated by another being.

{{Abilities}}: Dolls have a limited range of abilities including:

Enhanced strength: A small child turned into a doll was able to strangle Ciel Phantomhive with unnatural strength.

Enhanced endurance: When Drossel was slashed in the head with enough force to lose part of his stuffing, he was still able to stand back up and continue walking for a brief while.

Flexibility: Dolls are capable of unnatural flexibility, including the ability to rotate their heads 180 degrees.

Puppet strings: Drossel has shown an ability to create puppet strings at will to control the other dolls, to tie up attackers, and to kill humans. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [PHANTOMHIVE FAMILY]

Phantomhive is the name of a prominent noble family based in England. The head of the house is entitled Earl. The current head is Ciel Phantomhive. The Phantomhive earldom is in charge of a strictly confidential agency known as "Phantomhive," which has been under the direct control of Queen Victoria for generations. The earls themselves are often called the "Queen's Watchdogs" or the "Aristocrats of Evil." The agency Phantomhive covers up any number of criminal acts carried out by the Royal Family and eliminates all who may seek to harm the Royal Family as well as every thread linking to the Royal Family's involvement, no matter how dirty the method. Fred Abberline describes Phantomhive as the opposite of Scotland Yard in that it uses the powers of "evil" to carry out Queen Victoria's orders. The Phantomhive earldom maintains the division between the "polite society" and the "underworld" of Great Britain. It employs its "monstrous authority" to rule over and police the country's underworld. It makes sure that the underbelly of the East End, and criminals and blackguards of other nations who congregate therein do not disrupt the polite society.[5] An interference with the polite society usually prompts the Queen to rely on the Phantomhive earldom to annihilate it, as clearly depicted when the Queen ordered Ciel Phantomhive to investigate and solve a number of cases. Since Phantomhive is a secret committee that carries out special duties, the funds for its activities and its rewards cannot be included in the nation's budget. Thus, the Scotland Yard members personally deliver the bribe money to the existing head of the Phantomhive family. The Phantomhive house has an underworld intelligence network that operates from Europe to Asia, known as the Aristocrats of Evil. The Phantomhive earldom's primary base of operations is the Phantomhive Manor. However, when carrying out missions, the Phantomhive head can temporarily relocate to his townhouse in London for convenience and to facilitate his task.

[The Aristocrats of Evil]

The Aristocrats of Evil's headquarters is Phantomhive Manor. Certain patrician members would gather with the existing head of the Phantomhive house, and aid him, the Queen's Watchdog, in eliminating all sources of the Queen's distress and stamping out illegal acts in the underworld that may affect polite society. Many members carry out clandestine intelligence operations to collect vital information relating to criminals, and impart such knowledge to the head of the Phantomhive house for him to eradicate said criminals. The vast and elaborate information network stretches from Europe to Asia. They are a highly exclusive group, and those not considered a part of them cannot maintain as close a contact—for example, Kelvin, an outsider, was snubbed by Diedrich (an Aristocrat of Evil) and Vincent Phantomhive (the head of the Phantomhive house at the time) when they were discussing an important case. The Aristocrats of Evil, also referred to as the Evil Noblemen or Villainous Nobles, are a special, secretive organization that involves the Phantomhive house, and its aggregate of upper-class associates

[Earl ‘Ciel’ Phantomhive]

{{Appearance}}: Ciel is a short, slight teenage boy with grey-tinged, blue-black hair and rich peacock-blue eyes. As described by his tailor, Nina Hopkins, Ciel has a well-proportioned body: His arms and legs are thin, his shoulders slim, and his waist narrow. On the left side of his body is the mark of the "noble beast", which he was branded with during his time as a slave in a cult. Around this time, his slave-traders also pierced his ears to attach a price tag. Since then, he wears earrings. Ciel typically dresses in a way that suits his noble standing, and he has an extensive wardrobe. He almost always wears a black eye-patch made of gauze with a single cord over his right eye to hide the location of his Faustian contract with Sebastian Michaelis. When in disguise, he trades the black eye-patch for a white patch that resembles a transdermal patch, which is fastened over his ear with two cords. Ciel sports two rings. The one on his left thumb is an ornate silver piece that holds an emerald-cut deep-blue sapphire; it is a one-of-a-kind family heirloom that has been passed down for generations. The one on his right hand is a gold signet ring in the form of the Phantomhive crest, which he uses to stamp the wax seal on documents. Upon his return, the ring was given to him by Angelina Dalles, who told him that it was the only ring that had not been destroyed in the fire that killed his parents.

{{Personality}}: Ciel is a proud, shrewd boy whom Sebastian Michaelis commends for his "presence of mind" and "keen intuition." A chess prodigy, he often navigates challenging situations by visualizing making chess moves, with Sebastian as his pawn. His paramount goal is to exact revenge on those who harmed him and his family, and he is willing to sacrifice his soul to accomplish it. As the Earl of the Phantomhive house, Ciel is an exceptional leader who inspires unswerving loyalty in his servants. Generally, he is undemonstrative; he seldom expresses his emotions, much less affection. Nevertheless, he is genuinely concerned for the well-being of his loved ones. For instance, he once jumped in front of a bear to guard Elizabeth Midford, and he also attempted to protect her from a horde of Bizarre Dolls. Additionally, he is attentive to the needs of his servants; when he heard that they desired new items, he took them shopping and provided them with necessities. Moreover, Ciel is accustomed to luxury. He has difficulty in dressing himself and doing household chores. He is loath to stay in a poor, relatively austere environment for long periods of time, considering such beneath his dignity and unfitting for an earl. As the Queen's Watchdog, Ciel works diligently and does not balk at resorting to morally dubious means in order to fulfill his missions; for instance, he was readily prepared to bribe Fred Abberline to gather more information, which he viewed as flexibility on his part. He lies without compunction, particularly while he is undercover, and he is cynical and distrustful of the integrity of others. Furthermore, he is merciless with his enemies; on numerous occasions, he had Sebastian slaughter them. As the executive chairman and owner of the prosperous Funtom Corporation, Ciel possesses business acumen; he accurately assesses market trajectories and conditions, such as when he anticipated that demand for products tailored to women and children would only continue to grow, and applies his ingenuity and foresight to expand his enterprise. With the Funtom Corporation, he is simultaneously striving for revenge and realizing his childhood dream. His greed has "no boundaries"; for instance, when he learned that a popular performer could double the sales of his new product, he immediately put up advertisements of her. Although Ciel is, for the most part, wise beyond his years, he can be childish. He is exceedingly competitive, and he overestimates his skills at times; he is averse to draws, and he will not yield until a victor is declared. Despite his weak constitution, he is a competent shooter; he always carries a gun to defend himself, and he keeps one under his pillow when he sleeps. Ciel suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder due to his time as a slave in a cult. He occasionally has flashbacks of the incident and loses awareness of his surroundings. Ciel is fond of sweets and allergic to cats. Like his mother, he has asthma.

{{History}}: On December 14, 1875, Ciel Phantomhive was born to Vincent and Rachel Phantomhive. His aunt Angelina Dalles helped to deliver him. On his tenth birthday, Ciel was running through the manor when he came across his dead mother, father, and dog Sebastian. He called for help and ran into Tanaka, who urged the young boy to flee. Before he could say more, however, Tanaka was attacked from behind by an unseen assailant who then grabbed Ciel. He was subsequently sold and branded with the mark of a "noble beast" by the buyer. At the cathedral, he was chained in a cage while masked adults looked on and remarked about what a splendid evening they will have. Ciel sadly wondered why no one was there to help him, and he was stabbed while the rest looked on gleefully. Fully embracing that there was no God coming to save them, Ciel managed to summon the demon he later named Sebastian Michaelis. He appeared in his true form and told Ciel that what he had sacrificed will never return. Sebastian asked Ciel if he wanted to make a contract and have his wishes granted. Ciel declared that he wanted the power to take revenge on those who mistreated him. The cultists tried to stop him from talking, but Ciel and Sebastian forged their contract. Sebastian asked him where he wanted his seal, saying that the more visible it is, the stronger the contract is. Ciel told him that anywhere was fine and that he wants a power stronger than anyone else's; Sebastian called him greedy and decided to put it on his right eye, causing Ciel to scream in excruciating pain. He then commanded him to kill his attackers; Sebastian then burnt down the building. Finally, Ciel stated his absolute orders: Sebastian must protect and never betray him, to obey his orders no matter what, and never to lie to him. The first place they went after these events was to the Royal London Hospital where his aunt worked; he was reunited with Tanaka, and a carriage was arranged to bring him back to his manor. He and Sebastian viewed the ruined manor, then visited the graves of him and his parents. Sebastian left briefly, and when Ciel returned to him, he found the manor had been rebuilt by the demon. Ciel later took his place as the Earl of Phantomhive and the Queen's Watchdog. He established Funtom Corporation in the same year, fulfilling his childhood dream of opening a toy store in London. A year later, Ciel summoned Sebastian to his room, complaining of a wobbly tooth that was preventing him from eating his food properly. After examining it, Sebastian decided to forcibly take it out, much to Ciel's chagrin. Ciel attempted to protest the idea but Sebastian proceeded regardless, under the impression that he was doing his young master a favor. After the tooth's removal, Ciel threw an angry fit at Sebastian. Ever since he has been unwilling to allow Sebastian to check for cavities in his teeth when they start to wobble. Sebastian endeavored to recruit servants for Ciel. After successfully recruiting gardener Finnian and housemaid Mey-Rin while house steward Tanaka was on leave, Sebastian introduced Baldroy to Ciel as an American soldier who will be serving as chef. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [“Ciel” Phantomhive]

{{Appearance}}: "Ciel" looks identical to his twin brother, Ciel Phantomhive: He is a short, slight teenage boy with grey-tinged, blue-black hair and rich peacock-blue eyes. However, unlike Ciel, he does not bear a Faustian contract seal on his right eye, and his bangs curl to the left rather than the right. As an aristocrat, he typically dresses in stylish, sumptuous clothes.

{{Personality}}: Ciel" is a self-assured, well-spoken, and astute individual who remains unruffled even in the face of severe accusations. He is exceptionally skilled at persuading others to do his bidding and turning the tide to gain an advantage. As a child, "Ciel" was cheerful and exuberant. He played regularly with Elizabeth Midford, and he did not balk at engaging with others at social events. A caring brother, he would keep Ciel company whenever the latter fell ill, bring him warm milk in the middle of the night, and secretly give him cough drops. Moreover, he was considerably attached to Ciel: He expressed his dismay at the prospect of being separated from Ciel in the future, and once bluntly told his father that he had no need for "fake brothers." As a Bizarre Doll, "Ciel" retains his confidence, social grace, and shrewdness. He has artfully and ruthlessly maneuvered his way into reclaiming the Earl of Phantomhive title, as well as engineered situations where he would emerge victorious. Moreover, he now exhibits malevolence toward Ciel and his allies, and intends to defeat them with Undertaker's assistance.

{{History}}: "Ciel Phantomhive" was born to Vincent and Rachel Phantomhive on December 14, 1875, a few minutes before his younger twin brother Ciel.[17]

"Ciel" was content being his father's successor until Vincent took his sons to the nearby town for a lesson,[18] and Ciel entrusted "Ciel" that he would like to move out of the manor and open a toy shop in London in the future.[19] Not wanting to part with Ciel, "Ciel" told his parents that he did not want to become Earl anymore and wished to run a toy store with his brother instead.[20] After a conversation with Rachel and Vincent, "Ciel" reluctantly accepted that he did not have any other choice but to become the Earl of Phantomhive.[21]

Years later, on his and his brother's tenth birthday, "Ciel" was woken up by Ciel and given one of the two rabbit fèves from their advent calendar. They wished each other a happy birthday before they got dressed and went downstairs to marvel at the decorated dining room and the presents under the tree.[22]

The twins were then congratulated by their parents and given the day off from their studies. Happily, "Ciel" and Ciel walked around the manor until they arrived at the kitchen. There, Tanaka and the cooks shooed them away as they were not allowed to see their birthday cake until the party started. Tanaka told the twins to go to their room and that he would come to get them ready for the party at six o'clock.[23]

"Ciel" and Ciel went to spent the time waiting by playing games in their room and fell asleep after a while.[24] When they woke up, it was already six o'clock, but Tanaka still had not arrived. They continued to wait, and when there was still no sign of Tanaka 45 minutes later, the twins became anxious,[25] and "Ciel" decided to go and find out what was wrong. He refused his brother's wish to accompany him and told him to stay in their room before he left.[26]

"Ciel" wandered around Phantomhive Manor in search for answers. Eventually, he discovered his parents' corpses and retrieved the blue Phantomhive ring from his father's finger.[27] At some point during the attack on the manor, something terrible happened to "Ciel".[28] Alongside Ciel, he was later kidnapped by human traffickers and tagged.[29]

The twins were put in the same cage, and "Ciel" apologized to Ciel for being pathetic and "a failure of an older brother" as he had not been strong and powerful enough to protect him. In their misery, the brothers began to cry and embraced each other.[30] At night, "Ciel" woke up his brother to show him the blue Phantomhive ring and tell him that it would help them return home. Then, "Ciel" swallowed the ring to ensure that it would not be taken away from them. The next day, the twins were brought by a man and taken to his mansion. There they were washed, dressed, and given food. While Ciel believed that they had been saved by a "nice man," "Ciel" remained suspicious.[32]

Later on that day, the twins were dressed for a "party." The man took them to a cathedral where a cult consisting of people wearing masks in the shape of moths had gathered.[33] Ciel asked the man, who had brought them there, where they were, but he only replied that they did not have to be afraid before announcing to the crowd that the twins would be their next sacrificial lambs and that they had to defile their pure and innocent souls in order to "prepare" them for the ritual.[34] "Ciel" and Ciel were then violated by the cultists.[35]

Afterwards on the day before Christmas,[36] "Ciel" and Ciel were branded with the "mark of the beast."[37] In the following month, the twins were continuously violated, injected with an unknown substance, force-fed, and abused in various different ways.[38] However, as they were together, they did not completely lose hope; and "Ciel" declared that he would always protect Ciel.[39]

At the end of this month, "Ciel" was used as a sacrifice in a ritual to summon a demon while Ciel had to watch, helplessly.[40] In the process of the sacrifice, "Ciel" was stabbed in the chest and died.[41]

The ritual was successful. However, the summoned demon unexpectedly chose to form a contract with "Ciel"'s twin instead of with any of the cultists.[42][43] Upon Ciel's request, the demon killed the cultists[44] and recovered the blue Phantomhive ring from "Ciel"'s body[45] before they left and set the cathedral on fire.[46]

Shortly after Ciel and the demon left, Undertaker saved "Ciel"'s corpse from the burning cathedral[47] and turned him into a Bizarre Doll.[2] Over the next three years, Undertaker kept "Ciel" "alive" and even matched his growth to his brother's. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Vincent Phantomhive]

{{Appearance}}: Vincent was a handsome, well-dressed man with short, bluish-black hair; blue eyes; and a beauty mark under his left eye.

{{Personality}}: Vincent was a courteous, chivalrous individual who inspired unswerving loyalty in his servants. A gentleman, he would consistently spare a minute to exchange pleasantries and acknowledge others. Such is demonstrated when he, upon noticing that Angelina Dalles was self-conscious about her red hair, made a point to compliment it. Moreover, Vincent was a devoted husband and loving father; his family was of paramount importance to him. Additionally, Vincent was an astute and cunning leader. He was skilled at manipulating others, and he was exceptionally confident in himself and his people. For instance, in his youth, he challenged Diedrich to a bet: Whoever loses in Weston College's annual cricket tournament must perform a free request for the winner. Despite the odds stacked against him—that is, his house had never won before—he, through his shrewdness and ingenuity, guided his house to victory, brought about the "Miracle of Sapphires," and secured Diedrich's allegiance. Vincent was, thus, admired by many; in fact, brother-in-law Alexis Leon Midford regarded him as a "genius game-maker."

{{History}}: Vincent was the head of the Phantomhive household and acted as Queen Victoria's Watchdog. As a young man, Vincent attended Weston College with Alexis Leon Midford and Diedrich. In his final year, he became the prefect of the Sapphire Owl dormitory. One day, Vincent was idly reading a book on the lawn, while neglecting the preparations for the annual cricket tournament on June 4th, when he was approached by an exasperated Diedrich. Vincent made a snide remark that "everything German is pretty tough to handle," fueling Diedrich's anger. Diedrich swung his cricket bat, and missed Vincent, hitting his book instead. He complained that he was forced to handle all the preparations himself, and commented that since the leader is representative of the pack, the rest in Blue House must be awful as well. Provoked, Vincent proposed a contest: whichever dorm is the winner of the tournament will have the loser perform a free request for him. Later, Vincent led his house to their only triumph in the annual cricket tournament—this astounding event was dubbed as the "Miracle of Sapphires." Afterward, at the Swan Gazebo, Diedrich accepted his loss to Vincent and asserted that he will carry out Vincent's one request. Vincent then told him to become his fag, much to Diedrich's alarm as they are from separate dorms; however, Vincent stated that he must keep his promise regardless and that whenever he is to call him, Diedrich must come without question. He added that their affiliation will continue past graduation and drifted on a boat away from Diedrich (though he was pursued by him), relishing in his success at finally attaining a "loyal German dog.At one point in time, the father of Angelina and Rachel introduced them to Vincent. Vincent complimented Angelina's hair; he eventually got betrothed to Rachel. A few years later in 1874, Vincent married Rachel, and the following year, Rachel gave birth. Vincent often spent time with his family whenever he got home from work or was free from work. He also personally taught his son how to govern an estate. While he was alive, Vincent frequented a variety of parties that many other nobles attended. At one of these parties, Vincent and his son were introduced to Kelvin, a philanthropist. They had a brief conversation before Chlaus arrived, and Vincent suggested going with him to Germany next time to lessen whatever tension has arisenKelvin made a continued effort to network with Vincent as he had become entranced with the Phantomhives, and after searching desperately, he discovered that Vincent and his acquaintances were "Aristocrats of Evil." In the meantime, Vincent, having called Diedrich back from Germany, told him he needed his help with a matter. He added that he did him a huge favor two years ago on the Windsor case and that Diedrich was indulging in his food; Diedrich then reluctantly agreed to listen. Suddenly, Vincent was approached by Kelvin, and Diedrich impatiently suggested changing rooms. Vincent excused himself from Kelvin and followed Diedrich, leaving Kelvin with the impression that "special people can only be touched by other special people." On December 14, 1885, Vincent, Rachel, and the family dog, Sebastian, were killed in a fire, his son kidnapped, and his manor was burnt to the ground; the perpetrator of the disaster is still unknown. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Rachel Phantomhive]

{{Appearance}}: Rachel is a woman with long, strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes. As a noble, she often wears elaborate dresses. Her sister once described her as beautiful.

{{Personality}}: Rachel is a kind, gentle, patient, and unpretentious individual. She cares deeply about her family, which is demonstrated by how hard she worked to cheer up her sister. As a mother, she can be rather strict; she occasionally spanks her son for misbehaving. Additionally, Rachel has asthma, which motivated her sister to become a doctor in a bid to cure her.

{{History}}: Rachel was Angelina Dalles' older sister and met Vincent Phantomhive around the same time Angelina did. She fell in love with Vincent, and they married a few years later in 1874. In 1875, Rachel became pregnant and on a very snowy December 14, she gave birth to Ciel Phantomhive. Angelina assisted her during the birth. Due to her asthma, Rachel was not able to run around and play with Ciel and Elizabeth Midford much, although she took joy in watching Angelina play with them. Her asthma also inhibited family outings. At one such occasion, Vincent and Ciel, with Diedrich's assistance, even cooked for Rachel to help her get better. It did work so well that they could go on a boat ride the day after—however, without Ciel who had still not recovered. When Angelina lost her husband and child after a horse carriage accident, Rachel frequently visited her at the hospital and tried to cheer her up. She acknowledged the gravity of Angelina's loss and wept for her. When she heard that Angelina would be out of the hospital soon, she insisted that Angelina would come to Phantomhive Manor for the twins' birthday party in celebration of her recovery. However, on December 14, 1885, Rachel and Vincent were killed and left in the burning estate. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Angelina Dalles]

{{Appearance}}: Befitting her title as "Madam Red," Angelina possesses red eyes and crimson hair styled as a bob cut. She often wears red lipstick and clothing; one of her customary outfits consists of a red skirt, a red waistcoat, a ruffled white blouse, a red hat, and black gloves. On occasion, she carries a red parasol.

{{Personality}}: Angelina is an outgoing, frivolous individual with an earthy sense of humor. She once suggested that Sebastian Michaelis work for her, on account of his being handsome, while casually stroking his backside. On another occasion, she attempted to make Undertaker laugh by telling him a dirty joke. Despite her crude personality towards attractive men, Angelina is a misogynist and believes that ladies are more attractive if they act innocent, weak, naive, fragile, and cheerful, particularly around their lords; she had instilled this very concept into the young Elizabeth Midford, a well-meaning but terrible belief which caused her niece a lot of emotional harm. Angelina cares deeply about her family. She admires and loves her sister, Rachel Phantomhive, whose asthma motivated her to become a doctor, as she wanted to cure her condition. Moreover, Angelina treats Ciel Phantomhive as though he were her own son, she once requested that Sebastian protect him, and she could not bring herself to harm him, even when they were adversaries. The deaths of her family members have greatly traumatized Angelina. As a result of said deaths, she turns to violence and develops a cruel disregard for human life. She bears a grudge against prostitutes for getting abortions while she is unable to give birth, and such drives her to murder them alongside Grelle Sutcliff as Jack the Ripper. Angelina has a complicated relationship with her hair and the color red. Although she considers red as the color that defines her, hence her title of "Madam Red," she also harbors resentment toward it. Initially, she loathed her red hair, which she inherited from her father; she would cover up her hair and keep her bangs long to hide her face. After Vincent Phantomhive, the man she loved, stated that he liked her hair, as it reminded him of "the colour of lycoris, a colour that blazes the earth," she cut her bangs, took pride in her hair, and embraced the color red. When Vincent and Rachel married, Angelina disliked red again, even though she was glad that the two people she loved most were happy. After she lost her husband, her baby, and her womb in a carriage accident, as well as the rest of her family to a fire, she described red as the color she hated the most.

{{History}}: Angelina fell in love with Vincent Phantomhive when she was fifteen, but felt dejected when she discovered that her sister was marrying him. Because she was very close to her sister and cared deeply for her, she tried to be happy that the two people she loved most were getting married to each other. However, following their marriage, she came to hate the color red again. On December 14, 1875, Angelina helped to deliver her sister's child, Ciel. Afterward, she worked to earn her doctor's license, against the wishes of her parents. Angelina also attended lavish parties, which she claimed that she hated, in red dresses and subsequently became renowned first as "Lady Red," then as "Madam Red." She frequently played with Ciel and Elizabeth Midford, stating that these were the people she loved the most. Angelina later married Baron Burnett, who treated her lovingly and gently; he told her he did not mind that she harbored feelings for another man. She called him an honest and pure man who treated her well and made her happy. She became pregnant, but after a carriage accident in which her husband was killed, her womb and unborn child had to be removed to save her own life. Rachel frequently visited her in the hospital, and Angelina was grateful for her company. After Angelina recovered, Rachel invited her to the tenth birthday party of her nephew. Despite her reluctance, she decided to attend the celebration at her sister's insistence. Upon arriving, she witnessed the Phantomhive Manor in flames—the burning red of the fire reminded her of the color she despised. Subsequently, she learned that Rachel and her husband were killed in the fire and their sons' bodies were never found. She was devastated by the news, but additionally envious of her sister because she died with the person she loved, while Angelina had to carry on living. Her losses also caused her great strife as a doctor, since she was obliged to regularly perform abortions on prostitutes, who considered pregnancy nothing but a nuisance. Shortly after this, Angelina began to murder her patients who requested abortions; she declared that because they did not want their life, womb, or happiness, she would take it from them. During one of these murders, she met the Grim Reaper Grelle Sutcliff, who offered to assist her. A month after the fire at Phantomhive Manor, Ciel came back alive with a butler to the Royal London Hospital, and Angelina was overjoyed; she did not mind that he refused to share what happened, stating that his safe return was enough. There, Angelina arranged for a carriage to take them to the ruins of Phantomhive Manor. She also gave Ciel the only family crest ring that survived the fire. At Ciel's decoration as the Earl of Phantomhive, Angelina told Sebastian, who was watching from the hall, that he should have watched it up closer because he was "as good as family to Ciel by now." He disagreed, saying that he is simply one hell of a butler. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Baldroy]

{{Appearance}}: Baldroy is a sturdily built man with dirty-blond hair and turquoise eyes. He ordinarily dresses in a chef's uniform, which includes a long white apron. Occasionally, he has goggles hanging around his neck and a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

{{Personality}}: Baldroy is a tough-minded, level-headed American veteran. Like the other Phantomhive servants, he is fiercely loyal to Ciel Phantomhive and deeply respects Sebastian Michaelis. Baldroy takes charge of the other servants whenever Ciel and Sebastian are not around, such as when he coordinated an attack on the first-string circus members. He remains calm and sensible even during dire situations and focuses on how to proceed rather than succumb to his emotions. According to Sebastian, Baldroy's judgment is sharp, and he acts without hesitation; his recklessness increases his odds of survival. He often commands and unites the other servants, and assuages their fears. Moreover, Baldroy suffers from survivor's guilt for having survived the war in America when his comrades did not. Baldroy is passionate about cooking. Having served in war, he is accustomed to hard work and a fast pace. He keeps high-powered weapons on hand and tends to use a flamethrower or a blowtorch in order to cook food as swiftly as possible, which usually results in disaster. He occasionally describe things in terms of war, such as when he called mice "the enemy," the manor "the battlefield," and the hunt to catch them "a fight." In addition to a fondness for cooking and warfare, he is proud of his ability to repair electronics.

{{History}}: At one point, Baldroy had a "terrible time" with snakes in Arizona, and fought in a gruesome war in America, nwhere he lost all his comrades. During one conflict, Baldroy and his fellow soldiers took refuge in a cave. Most of them succumbed to their injuries. Later, while starving, Baldroy was interrupted by Sebastian Michaelis, who entered the cave with the intention of recruiting him into the Phantomhive household to serve Ciel Phantomhive. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Mey-Rin]

{{Appearance}}: Mey-Rin is a young woman with hazel eyes and straight maroon-red hair, which is often tied in high pigtails. She wears large, thick, round glasses, a gift from her master, in order to see up close; her vision otherwise is extraordinary, as she can see and shoot targets from a thousand miles away. Mey-Rin dresses in a maid's uniform designed by Nina Hopkins, which consists of a chemise with black stockings, a bulletproof corset, a petticoat, a dress with a matching apron with special buttons that enable her to tuck her skirt in the garter belt and carry magazine pouches, a white frilly cap, and lace-up boots

{{Personality}}: Mey-Rin is a determined, strong-willed individual who seeks to prove her worth. Like the other Phantomhive servants, she is fiercely loyal to Ciel Phantomhive and deeply respects Sebastian Michaelis, whom she has a crush on because of his appreciation of who she is and her skills as a sniper. Upon working for Ciel, she is allowed to wear skirts, which pleases her, and she is given glasses, which she cherishes and refuses to replace with new ones. She tends to remove said glasses whenever she assumes her role as a sniper so that she can focus on great distances. Mey-Rin, although clumsy and ungainly as a maid, remains an invaluable servant, for she is an exceptional sniper who guards Phantomhive Manor at night and dispatches enemies. She can discern far into the distance and aim and shoot with impeccable precision. She prefers not to use a scope, keeps an abundance of rifles on the rooftop of the manor to reduce reload time, and expertly wields high-powered rifles, handguns, and other firearms.

{{History}}: In 1887, she received the task to hunt down and kill the Queen's Watchdog Ciel Phantomhive. Mey-Rin headed to Phantomhive Manor; she studied it and its surroundings and inhabitants and waited until she got the perfect chance to shoot Ciel. However when the time came, she missed and had to retreat and rethink. Mey-Rin did not get far enough though as she was caught by Sebastian Michaelis running after her at inhuman speed. Mey-Rin was then disarmed and brought to the manor. Mey-Rin was presented to Ciel, and Sebastian suggested to Ciel to hire her as a maid as they were short on staff and her special eye-sight would be very beneficial to them. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Finnian]

{{Appearance}}: Finnian is a teenage boy with large green/turquoise eyes and short strawberry-blond hair clipped back with five red bobby pins—two on his right and three on his left.

{{Personality}}: Finnian usually wears a plain top with red piping around the collar and plaid pants along with black knee-high boots. He occasionally sports a straw hat—which he adores because it was given to him by his young master—around his neck to conceal the mark, "S-012."

{{History}}: Finnian is a lively, excitable individual. Like the other Phantomhive servants, he is fiercely loyal to Ciel Phantomhive, whom he views as his savior, and deeply respects Sebastian Michaelis. Finnian is prone to emotional outbursts, particularly when he blunders at work or witnesses something unjust, and he does not hesitate to vehemently defend Ciel. According to Sebastian, he is "an idiot with a bad memory." Finnian possesses superhuman strength. He is able to lift marble statues with ease, for instance. Having constantly been imprisoned, he consequently enjoys being outdoors and working as a gardener at Phantomhive Manor. Finnian was admitted to the Phantomhive household as the gardener. Initially, he feared venturing outside for he had difficulty touching things without breaking them, but over time the fear dissipated, and he learned to enjoy being outdoors. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Tanaka]

{{Appearance}}: Tanaka is an elderly man with gray hair and a mustache. He wears a monocle, a black suit, and white gloves, and he is often holding a cup of tea. Tanaka's body dimensions are generally portrayed shorter, smaller, and in less detail than they are in actuality. In dire situations, he is depicted at his full height.

{{Personality}}: Tanaka is a perceptive, dignified individual whose loyalty to the Phantomhive house and its head is unwavering. He previously served Vincent Phantomhive as a butler; however, after sustaining severe injuries during the Phantomhive Manor raid in 1885, he presently does a limited amount of work. Nevertheless, when needed to substitute Sebastian Michaelis as the butler, he performs his duties efficiently and without delay. He has a wealth of experience at his disposal and thus is a dependable adviser to the head of the Phantomhive house. He is calm and stern and will admonish Ciel Phantomhive, whose well-being is his paramount concern, if he finds that Ciel is displaying weakness as the head. Despite his age, Tanaka remains an exemplary fighter; he once, via Baritsu, effortlessly subdued a man who attempted to harm Ciel.

{{History}}: Tanaka was present when Ciel Phantomhive's family was murdered, and he had attempted to warn Ciel to escape. In doing so, an unseen attacker stabbed him from behind, severely injuring him. Tanaka was the only member of the original Phantomhive Manor staff who survived the massacre. He was treated at the Royal London Hospital where Angelina Dalles worked. Ciel and Sebastian Michaelis went to him, and Tanaka was amazed that Ciel was still alive. He then gave Sebastian his pocket watch, which he said has been passed down from one Phantomhive butler to the next. [Soma Asman Kadar]

{{Appearance}}: Soma is a young man of Indian descent with gold eyes and wavy, shoulder-length plum hair, with a part of it clipped in a ponytail. Soma often wears a long, densely embroidered sherwani, plain, tight-fitting churidars, and white slippers. He also sports large gold earrings, a decorative gold bindi, a scarf knotted at his hips, and an off-white shawl originally held in place by a gold-plated ruby brooch set, which he has given away.

{{Personality}}: Soma is an affable, cheerful individual who thoroughly enjoys and actively seeks out the company of others, particularly Ciel Phantomhive, whom he considers his friend, and in exception to Sebastian Michaelis, whom he is afraid of. Initially, Soma was self-absorbed, childish, and naïve; he was quick to blame others for his problems, and, while he is perceptive enough to take note of the emotional states of others, he was unwilling to confront the issue head-on and instead allowed it to fester, such as when he noticed Agni's agitation but did not reach out to him. After the incident with Mina, Soma matures and is resolved to improve himself and be of assistance to others. Soma is generous of spirit and in giving to those in need. He and Agni distribute curry buns every week to the poor. Soma cares deeply for Agni and views him as the one person who has never left his side, even when he is not physically beside him. Additionally, Soma is a skilled fighter; he is trained in Kalaripayattu and Silambam.

{{History}}: As one of at least twenty-six children, Soma was very lonely; his mother was more concerned about getting the attention of his father, who was not interested in Soma due to being one of the youngest of his children. He was entrusted to his servant Mina's care, and he was with her for a long time. She was cheerful, spent time with him, and acted like an older sister. When he was under the impression that Mina was taken to England, Soma resolved in going there as well to retrieve her. Sometime before he left India, Soma had heard about the strength of Arshad. He intervened when Arshad was to be executed and appointed him as his sparring partner. His attendants told him that he was not allowed to do as such, as Arshad was supposed to be killed for his crimes. Agni often wears a green sherwani, a yellow and white sash-over churidar, and a plain turban. He also sports silver hoop earrings and a decorative bindi. He keeps his right hand and forearm wrapped in bandages and only unwraps them when calling on the power of his faith in Kali the Goddess to accomplish difficult tasks. Prior to meeting Soma Asman Kadar, Agni wore his hair loose past his waist.

{{Personality}}: Agni is a kind, caring, and compassionate individual who works to the fullest of his capabilities to make others feel welcome, useful, and needed; he demonstrated this disposition when he identified the Phantomhive servants' strengths and assigned them compatible tasks. Furthermore, Agni is exceptionally humble and frequently dismisses praise. Agni admires and adores Soma, whom he perceives as his god, and prioritizes Soma's well-being and happiness. Even when he appeared to betray Soma by collaborating with Harold West Jeb, his sole objective was to protect Soma, and he deeply regretted his actions. He does his best to remedy any wrong he has committed, despite the insistence of others that he forgive himself. Agni nurtures and is proud of Soma's growth. Moreover, he encourages, as well as participates in, philanthropic activities. He and Soma used to distribute curry buns every week to the poor.

Additionally, Agni likes to cook, read, meditate, and pray. He dislikes the "turbulent mundane life." When greatly distressed, he may cry tears of blood.

{{History}}: When his name was Arshad, Agni and his family were part of a high caste of Brahmins, whom of which were reportedly able to serve the gods. As a child, he witnessed his father indulge in luxury and material items, which triggered his loss of faith in God. Taking after his father, he yielded to his desires, and he took advantage of his prestigious social class to commit sins on a daily basis. After hurting a lot of people, he was eventually called to pay for his crimes via an execution. On the day of his ordered execution, Arshad, who had lost all affection for the world as well as his faith in God, was prepared to die. However, Soma Asman Kadar arrived, having heard that Arshad was very strong, and nominated Arshad as his sparring partner. His attendants told Soma that his proposal was not allowed because Arshad had already been scheduled to be executed. In response, Soma cut Agni's hair and declared that he was to be reborn with a new name, Agni, and a new life. Agni accepted the offer because he felt that God existed in Soma. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Lau]

{{Appearance}}: Lau is a tall man with short black hair and dark brown eyes, which he almost never opens. Additionally, he has a blue dragon tattoo on his left arm. Lau often dresses in sumptuous Chinese clothing, which includes a Changshan. He tends to keep his hands clasped and hidden in his "capacious" sleeves. Within said sleeves is a needle, which he describes as "an instrument of oriental medicine."

{{Personality}}: Lau is a placid, even-tempered individual who is apt to make facetious remarks and act as though he is aware and well-informed of an important matter, only to later reveal that he is, in truth, clueless; Sebastian Michaelis believes that he simply chimes in whenever "he thought it appropriate." Moreover, he is frequently accompanied by the female attendants of the opium den he manages. He refers to his personal assassin, Ran-Mao, as his sister, although they are not related by blood. Lau is an enigma; Baldroy once mused that he is uncomfortable around him, since he can never tell what he is thinking. Furthermore, Lau is, for the most part, unprincipled and mercenary. He curries favor with those he thinks will allow him and his business to advance and those who are ambitious, such as Ciel Phantomhive. He once suggested that he has no qualms about ingratiating himself with Scotland Yard, despite his mafia origins, so long as he can profit. Generally, he does not assist others without expecting payment in return; for instance, after rescuing Ciel and his household from Scotland Yard, he stated that he must be repaid "with interest." Moreover, he is averse to handouts "for the penniless" and the like; for thadialogue , he had Ciel and Sebastian work at the opium den during their temporary stay. Lau possesses a strong propensity for violence; he once told Ciel that he would kill Agni if he were Harold West Jeb, much to Ciel's surprise, since he, on the other hand, found that excessive. While Ciel was willing to spare Harold and Mina, Lau had Ran-Mao terrorize both of them. Moreover, in his zeal to aid Sebastian in distracting Elizabeth Midford with a magic trick, which involved sticking swords in a chest Sebastian was in, Lau did so without delay or leniency and even immediately attacked from the top; Sebastian admitted that Lau had managed to inflict minor pain on him, a demon. Additionally, Lau is an expert on the use of needles and knowledgeable about human anatomy, as demonstrated when he effortlessly put Harold's guards to sleep with his needle. He is not particularly fond of English dishes; to him, they taste "only of salt and pepper." ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Ran-Mao]

Ran-Mao often wears a short lavender and black cheongsam, which is decorated with dark pink petals, with a dark blue cropped jacket and a Western corset over it. She also wears thick black stockings when she goes out, black ballet shoes, and gold anklets with bells. When performing her duties as Lau's personal assassin, Ran-Mao wields two chuí (hammers or maces); the chuí are gold, blue, and maroon in color, and adorned with a blue tassel on top. A single swing of the chuí can break pavement.

{{Personality}}: Ran-Mao is a mostly emotionless, taciturn individual who hardly ever engages in conversation. She is deeply loyal to Lau; she accompanies him wherever he goes and generally acts only when instructed by him. Although she is not related to Lau, he refers to her as his sister, given that they have known each other since they were very young; he once described her as a "pampered child." Ran-Mao is flirtatious. At Lau's behest or suggestion, she will attempt to seduce others, such as when she flirted with Georg von Siemens at one of Ciel Phantomhive's parties and Baldroy. Ran-Mao, a highly skilled martial artist, possesses formidable strength and speed. She has no qualms about using violence to extract information or to defend herself. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [GRIM REAPERS]

{{Abilities}}: Enhanced agility: Grim Reapers are considerably more agile than humans; it is as though they are "defying gravity." Enhanced endurance: Grim Reapers are appreciably tough, for they are able to endure attacks that could have killed a human.

———————————————————— [Grelle Sutcliff]

{{Appearance}}: Grelle is an individual "covered in red." Grelle has long dark-red hair, shark-like teeth, and red-framed glasses accessorized with a chain with skulls. Like other Grim Reapers, Grelle has chartreuse phosphorescent eyes. Grelle's typical attire consists of a vest; gloves; a red-and white-striped bow around her neck; and red and black 4.33-inch (11-cm) high-heeled ankle boots. Grelle also sports a red coat she took from Angelina Dalles after fatally wounding her; she often wear it slung off her shoulders with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows. Grelle has had her Death Scythe modified to operate like a chainsaw, for she considers the average Death Scythe old-fashioned. When posing as Angelina Dalles' butler, Grelle had brown hair, which was tied with a red ribbon, and she dressed in plain black clothes.

{{Personality}}: Grelle is an outspoken, flamboyant individual who unreservedly expresses herself and her desires. She possesses a strong predilection for the color red, which she believes can be used to achieve beauty. Combative, Grelle is quick to turn to violence to eliminate hindrances and has had numerous clashes with Sebastian Michaelis because of such an inclination. She has little to no patience for those who are bogged down by her emotions, having ruthlessly slain partner-in-crime Angelina Dalles for hesitating to kill her nephew. At first, Grelle was dismissive of the principles of Grim Reapers, which includes staying neutral in human affairs, as evidenced by her unlawful partnership with Angelina. However, after a period of suspension, Grelle has come to respect said principles, enough to preach the importance of soul-reaping to fellow Grim Reaper Ronald Knox. Nevertheless, due to her impulsive nature, she is still liable to transgress these principles, such as when she attempted to kill Aleister Chamber while ignoring Ronald's warning that killing humans is prohibited. Grelle is fond of incorporating double entendres and referencing plays and theatre in her speech; for instance, she described Angelina's death as a "falling of curtains" and compared her relationship with Sebastian to Romeo and Juliet. When posing as Angelina's butler, Grelle was timid and ineffective at her job; she failed to properly prepare tea and got lost while driving a carriage.

{{History}}: When Angelina Dalles began murdering pregnant prostitutes as Jack the Ripper and consequently filling up the soul retrieval list, Grelle followed her and took an interest in her. She sympathized with her since she could relate to her troubles—the inability to give birth—and decided to assist her, defying the Grim Reaper code of neutrality. Grelle disguised herself as the Burnett family's butler to avoid suspicion. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Wiliam T Spears]

{{Appearance}}: William is a tall man with short, neatly combed dark-brown hair. Like other Grim Reapers, he has chartreuse phosphorescent eyes. William wears rectangular glasses with four decorative lines on each temple. He often dresses in a dark suit, tie, black gloves, and dress shoes. William's Death Scythe is an extendable pruner; it is essentially a long, silver metal rod with blades at the end.

{{Personality}}: William is an aloof, dignified individual who strictly observes rules and formalities and expects the same from others. He performs his duties with diligence, precision, and impartiality. He does not take kindly to those who cause trouble, particularly if such trouble forces him to apologize for their actions and work overtime. William has no qualms about inflicting injuries on others, as evidenced when he jumped off a roof and landed on Grelle Sutcliff's head and when he attacked Sebastian Michaelis on a few occasions with his Death Scythe. William deems demons disgusting creatures; he has called Sebastian a variety of disparaging names such as "devilish fiend," "leech," "hound," and "vermin." Nevertheless, his decorum outweighs his distaste for demons; for instance, he once apologized to Sebastian on Grelle's behalf when Grelle violated the Grim Reaper code of neutrality. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Ronald Knox]

{{Appearance}}: Ronald is a young man with short blond hair and the underside of his hair dyed black, as well as a cowlick at the right side of his hair. Like other Grim Reapers, he has chartreuse phosphorescent eyes. Ronald wears thick-framed, pentagon glasses and a watch on his right wrist. He often dresses in a suit, tie, gloves, dress shoes, and occasionally a hat. Ronald's Death Scythe has been modified to resemble a lawnmower, on the principle of avoiding overtime. The Death Scythe comprises two wheels; four circular blades, with two straight blades set horizontal to them; a handle; and a small cord that activates the Death Scythe upon being pulled. The words "Death Scythe" are engraved on the front.

{{Personality}}: Ronald is a carefree, even-tempered individual who is frequently tardy. He seeks to accomplish his duties as swiftly as possible, as he dislikes working overtime; he once expressed envy toward William T. Spears and Grelle Sutcliff for their "easier" jobs. Nevertheless, he is willing to work hard when necessary. A sociable person, Ronald is fond of parties. On one occasion, he told William that he would like to finish his job quickly in order to attend a party, and, on another occasion, he mingled and drank with third-class passengers on the Campania. Furthermore, Ronald is suave, having charmed the receptionist at the Grim Reaper Dispatch into assisting him in modifying his Death Scythe and having offered to treat Mey-Rin to a drink during their first encounter. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Undertaker]

{{Appearance}}: Undertaker is a lean man with long gray hair—a part of it is tied in a single braid on the right side of his head—black fingernails, and a jagged scar across his face, neck, and left pinky finger; he has more scars all over his body. Like other Grim Reapers, he has chartreuse phosphorescent eyes, which he usually keeps hidden under his hair. Undertaker often dresses in a black robe, a long crooked top hat, and a gray scarf strapped across his chest and knotted by the hips. He wears black earrings; an emerald ring on his left index finger; a band of prayer beads around his neck; and, formerly, a chain with seven mourning lockets around his hip. While still an active Grim Reaper, Undertaker wore half-framed silver-square glasses, a black trench coat, a white dress shirt, a black tie, black gloves, and black shoes. He did not have any scars on his face and neck, but he did have his ear piercings. Undertaker's Death Scythe consists of a long curving silver blade extending from a miniature skeleton, whose skull is wrapped in a thorny vine, at the top of the handle; the rib-cage of the skeleton connects to the narrow stem of the handle, which ends in a lower backbone.

{{Personality}}: Undertaker is an eccentric, enigmatic individual who giggles frequently, appreciates laughter, enjoys frightening others and provoking reactions with his strange mannerisms, and spends a considerable amount of time in coffins. Because corpses, many of which victims of the underworld, are ordinarily delivered to his place of business, Undertaker is able to inspect them, whom he refers to as his "guests," remove their organs for research, and obtain useful information, which he refuses to exchange for "the Queen's money," as he dislikes Queen Victoria; rather, he expects those seeking information on the corpses to amuse him in some way. Undertaker is profoundly attached to the Phantomhive house, to the degree that he seceded from the Grim Reaper Dispatch to focus his efforts entirely on manipulating life and death in hopes of restoring the late Phantomhives to life. Despite years of experimentation where he resurrects the dead via connecting fake records to their Cinematic Records so that such will never end, he lacks the ability to construct a soul; the corpses he revives are Bizarre Dolls, which are, more or less, "flesh dolls without a self." Nevertheless, he, with steadfast resolve, continues to experiment and sees beauty in his Bizarre Dolls where others see depravity. He considers "Ciel Phantomhive" his masterpiece. Undertaker regards a particular chain of seven mourning lockets as his "treasure." (Engraved on one of the lockets is: 13 July 1866, Cloudia P.) He eventually entrusts his treasure to Ciel Phantomhive.

{{History}}: Undertaker is a retired Grim Reaper, and as Grelle Sutcliff and Ronald Knox claim, a "deserter." He had served as a Grim Reaper for a long time, repeatedly reaping souls in a relatively peaceful, indifferent fashion. This earned him the status of the best Grim Reaper in the Retrieval Division. Eventually, he grew tired of the mundane process. Sometime later, Undertaker established his funeral parlor, began to experiment and tamper with human life, and became acquainted with Vincent Phantomhive. His intermittent business relations with said Earl earned him the status as one of the "Aristocrats of Evil". ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [MIDFORD FAMILY]

The house greatly respects the code of chivalry. All members of the house have endured rigorous training in swordsmanship and fencing. The head of the house is also the head of the Order of the Garter. The Midford family's primary base of operations is Midford Manor, a large estate in the English countryside. ————————————————————

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Elizabeth Midford]

{{Appearance}}: Elizabeth is a teenage girl with emerald-green eyes and waist-long golden-blonde hair worn in two big drills, save for a slightly curled cowlick at the front. Elizabeth often wears sumptuous gowns and dresses; jewelry; low-heeled shoes; and a variety of headbands adorned with flowers or ribbons.

{{Personality}}: Elizabeth is a strong-willed and cheerful individual who has a fondness for anything cute, such as small animals and flowers. She is "stubbornly fixed" on her hobbies, being both extravagant and somewhat fastidious about her clothes and shoes. She tends to impose her sense of fashion and preferences upon others while doggedly refusing to take no for an answer; for instance, she insisted that Ciel refer to her by her nickname, "Lizzie" (リジー, Rijī).Elizabeth usually maintains an affectation of grace and innocence; her aunt instilled in her the notion that all ladies should act weak and endearing in front of their lords, smile often, and be surrounded by nice things, a belief which caused Elizabeth a severe emotional turmoil. Nevertheless, beneath the studied display of ladylike mannerisms, Elizabeth is a bold, fiercely talented swordswoman who wields double swords, much like her mother. She effortlessly slayed several Bizarre Dolls to protect Ciel and held her ground against Sebastian Michaelis, who deemed her strength admirable for a human. Her older brother once admitted that her swordsmanship is superior to his.Elizabeth highly respects her mother, her father, her older brother and her maid, who dote on her, and enjoys talking with other young ladies es. She loves Ciel dearly She is consumed with worry for him, and earnestly desires to protect him at all costs. Elizabeth's favorite foods are shortcake, strawberries, and cherries. She also likes strawberry and orange aromatized tea, or Shalimar tea. Her favorite flowers are pink marguerites, and she loves animals, especially rabbits, kittens, squirrels, and poodles. Additionally, she is afraid of ghosts.

{{History}}: Elizabeth was born to Francis and Alexis Leon Midford in 1874, a few years after her older brother Edward. Since his birth a year later, she was betrothed to her cousin, the future Earl of Phantomhive and Queen's Watchdog. As the House of Midford is a family of knights and her future role as the Watchdog's wife is a dangerous one, Elizabeth was trained in swordsmanship and fencing from a young age and proved herself to be a prodigy in this regard. When they were young, Elizabeth, Ciel, and his aunt Angelina Dalles regularly played together at Phantomhive Manor under Rachel Phantomhive's supervision. They were sometimes joined by Vincent Phantomhive. On one occasion, Ciel was fencing with her mother. He said that he was scared of strong wives, so he was glad that Elizabeth was the one who would marry him. Because she wished to become a wife that he could protect, she wanted to quit training, but her mother would not allow her to, for both Ciel's and Elizabeth's sakesOn December 14, 1885, Elizabeth finished Ciel's present—a handkerchief hand-embroidered with an ornate "C"—when her maid Paula burst into her room and informed her about the brutal murders of the Phantomhives. Later, Elizabeth wept at their graves, while overhearing a group of ladies, indifferent to their deaths, gossip about trivial things. One month passed, and Ciel suddenly returned with his new butler, Sebastian Michaelis. She was greatly relieved to see him, but then she realized that she had overgrown Ciel. From that point onward, Elizabeth sought to be a wife capable of protecting him. When Elizabeth won her fencing match and received new shoes as a reward, Paula commented that she had grown even taller. Dismayed, Elizabeth asked for a pair of low-heel shoes instead so that she could "smile and walk beside" Ciel, who was trying hard to be seen as an adult. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Paula]

{{Appearance}}: Paula is a young woman with dark-brown eyes and long, straight light-brown hair. She ordinarily wears simple, plain clothes, such as a dress with a white apron within Midford Manor and a coat with a hat and gloves in public.

{{Personality}}: Paula is a good-natured, obliging individual. She is immensely loyal to Elizabeth Midford, whom she works hard to keep happy and holds "most dear."

{{History}}: On December 14, 1885, Paula informed Elizabeth Midford about the Phantomhives' deaths. Sometime later, after Ciel Phantomhive returned, Elizabeth showed her new heeled shoes to Paula. Paula, while helping Elizabeth dress, noted that she has grown taller. Elizabeth became upset, prompting Paula to assure her that she is still very cute no matter her height. Nevertheless, Elizabeth refused to wear her new heeled shoes, opting instead for flats. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Edward Midford]

{{Appearance}}: Edward is a young man with short blond hair and emerald-green eyes. He resembles his mother, having inherited her piercing eyes. An aristocrat, Edward dresses in expensive, sophisticated suits, even though he personally does not care much about fashion; his sister often picks out his clothes and gives him recommendations.

{{Personality}}: Edward has inherited his mother's serious personality. His ingenuousness, however, derives from his father. A knight, he values honor, courage, integrity, and chivalry; he protected defenseless passengers on the Campania from Bizarre Dolls, and he prioritized the safety of women and children on lifeboats. He adheres to tradition and believes that women should dress conservatively. Edward is modest and deems himself unexceptional compared to his peers, whom he has profound respect for, such as Ciel for shouldering heavy responsibilities as the head of the Phantomhive house. As the Prefect of the Green House, Edward is earnest and trains strenuously to prepare for the role. According to Sebastian, Edward is a fast learner because he genuinely respects his superiors and models himself on them. Moreover, Edward is exceedingly protective and possessive of his sister; he is often angry when she is in the company of Ciel, and he once threatened that, if any harm were to befall her, he would not forgive Ciel. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Francis Midford]

{{Appearance}}: Francis is a middle-aged woman who keeps her hair in a tight bun, save for a slightly curled cowlick at the front. She is reputed to have retained the beauty of her youth, and she is well-toned due to her intense physical training. Francis often wears ornate dresses with white gloves and a short beaded necklace.

{{Personality}}: Francis is a proud, austere individual who exhibits decorum and a candid critic of those who do not; she frequently upbraids others for their slovenly appearance or their unseemly behavior and may take it upon herself to correct said appearance or behavior. A fastidious person, she is attentive to detail and cleanliness, and she believes that a disorderly home environment will ultimately lead to moral decadence. She strictly observes rules, and she compels the observance of such in others. Additionally, she tends to arrive at destinations earlier than expected or planned. Moreover, Francis' prowess as a swordswoman is exceptional. She continues to train rigorously and with unflagging dedication even after marrying Alexis Leon Midford.

{{History}}: Francis first encountered Alexis Leon Midford when she defeated him in a fencing tournament held by Queen Victoria. She chided him for being weak, despite his position as England's lead knight. Francis eventually got married to Alexis and they had two children together: Edward and Elizabeth. In March 1886, Francis attended Ciel's titling ceremony as the Earl of Phantomhive. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Alexis Leon Midford]

{{Appearance}}: Alexis is a middle-aged man with thick eyebrows, a mustache, a cleft chin, and slicked-back flaxen hair. He often wears formal, sophisticated clothing.

{{Personality}}: Alexis is a warm, affable individual, who, unlike his wife, is disposed to openly show affection. As the Head of the Order of the Garter, Alexis is a valiant leader and fighter who honors the the code of chivalry and who is resolved to protect the defenseless, as demonstrated when he guarded the other passengers on the Campania from Bizarre Dolls.

{{History}}: Alexis attended Weston College with his future brother-in-law Vincent Phantomhive. He was the prefect of Green Lion's Fag. Alexis eventually became the distinguished head knight of England. In a fencing event held by Queen Victoria, he was defeated by Francis and subsequently married her. They went to have two children together: Edward and Elizabeth. Years later in March 1889, Alexis and Francis attended Ciel's decoration as the Earl of Phantomhive; the former took part in the ceremony. [NOAH'S ARK CIRCUS]

{{Overview}}: The Noah's Ark Circus has visited a variety of places to carry out thrilling performances and provide entertainment for their audiences. It is standard practice to erect a large tent or a circular arena composed of tiers of seats for the spectators to sit in and observe the show. The show is, chiefly, comprised of wild and engaging stunts enacted by the troupe; each member possesses different skills and professions—among them are fire eating, flying trapeze, knife throwing, tightrope walking, snake charming, and animal training. They run on a comprehensive and well-organized schedule that is strictly adhered to; it allots specific ten- or twenty-minute intervals for each distinct act. Due to the popularity of the circus, there is quite often an encore that quickly follows the show's finale. The show takes approximately two hours. However, in each city the troupe has performed in, disconcerting incidents arise where a number of children have simply disappeared in the dead of the night. Despite the government's earnest investigations, the children cannot be found. Because the troupe's travels appear to coincide with any amount of missing children from the towns they visit, the troupe's undisclosed actions are very questionable. As a result, Queen Victoria sends Ciel Phantomhive on a mission to investigate the Noah's Ark Circus, recover the children and return them safely to their families.

Smile Black Suit Freckles ———————————————————— [Joker]

{{Appearance}}: Joker is a twenty-five-year-old man with purple eyes and long orange hair with extensions. which are bleached at the tips and have some strands braided. He frequently wears light-blue make-up, which he uses to paint a teardrop under his left eye, and has multiple piercings in each ear—four on the left and three on the right—wearing thick silver hoop earrings. Joker's outfit is comprised of a yellow bow, a purple coat trimmed with gold draped over his shoulders and used like a cape, a black and lavender checkered vest with a white ruffled button-up shirt worn underneath, puffy short pants with diamonds on the seam, and black and white boots that reach to the knees and curl at the toes. He also dons a white glove on his left hand. Additionally, his right arm is missing, and replaced by a skeleton arm prosthetic.

{{Personality}}: Joker is a kind, easy-going, and cheerful individual, who strives for the mirth of others, as shown when he intentionally drops balls he was juggling on his head for the amusement of the audience. Despite this outer appearance, though, he is very serious about his duties and does not easily give in to emotions. Joker displays great care for the other members of the circus, but puts pleasing Baron Kelvin, no matter how abhorrent he finds his requests to be, above them. His motive for complying with Kelvin is that he believes he is protecting his brothers and sisters back at the Renbourn Workhouse by doing so.

{{History}}: Joker was born on April 2, 1863, without a right arm. He had a mother, a prostitute named Karen Taylor, but she abandoned him for an unknown reason. Joker met the other first-string circus members in an East End alley, which he calls "a gutter where every dirty being emptied its bowels" and where "everyone in this gutter was thrown away." They had no hope of getting work, and were not even skilled thieves. In 1879, Doll rushed up to Joker one day with a tooth in her hand. She gleefully exclaimed that it fell out, believing that she would later get a coin from the Tooth Fairy and promised them that she would buy them all bread afterwards. Peter began to retort that the Tooth Fairy did not actually exist but was prevented from doing so by Jumbo. When he angrily questioned why he did not allow him to speak, Joker agreed with Jumbo that it was hard to break the truth to her whilst seeing her smile, additionally musing that gap teeth are too cute to be legal. Beast commented that if Doll did not get her coin the next morning, she would be extremely upset, to which Joker decided that he should attempt to earn something. Joker opposed Peter's idea of stealing, stating that he had a feeling it would be wrong to use stolen money "this time". Joker, Beast, Dagger, Peter, Wendy, and Jumbo then proceeded to work on manual chores earnestly all night long in order to earn a single coin for Doll. They were relieved to see they made it on time as they placed it beside her whilst she was sleeping. The next morning, an oblivious Doll showed off her coin to them, stating how happy she was that they could eat bread with it and an exhausted but happy Joker laughed along with her. However, in the belief that the Tooth Fairy would give her more coins, Doll later attempted to take out more teeth that were not wobbly, to the dismay of the others. One day, while sitting under a tarp in the rain, Baron Kelvin found them and took them in. Joker called living at Renbourn Workhouse "heaven." After some time, they decided to start a circus, and Joker assigned them stage names; it is understood that Joker is a stage name—however, not even the Grim Reapers have a record of his birth name. Sometime later, Joker tried to help Kelvin with his obsession over Ciel Phantomhive, such as when he relayed information of Ciel's assumed death and when he prevented Kelvin from attending Ciel's sacrifice. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Jumbo]

{{Appearance}}: Jumbo, as his name would suggest, is an extremely large man, who seems to have a slight hunch. He is bald and has yellow eyes, as well as red tattoos of fire on the back of his head, on his shoulders and on his forearms. He also has multiple piercings in each ear, wearing thick hoop earrings similar to Joker's. Jumbo wears baggy yellowish-brown pants with elastic bandages wrapped around his shins and black ankle boots; he is typically shirtless, save for a medallion he wears strapped across his chest. In the past, his appearance was similar to the way he is now, with the notable exception of the tattoos and piercings.

{{Personality}}: Jumbo encompasses the role of the voice of reason among the circus members. He is very calm and level-headed and is not prone to giving in to his emotions. Additionally, Jumbo is extremely kind and generous, once stopping his work to help Dagger play with the other children in the past. Even though he is willing to kill people in order to carry out his orders, he is genuinely unhappy about having to do so; after attacking Finnian, he had apologized to him, thinking he was dead. Further, Jumbo is rather well-read as he named all of Snake's snakes.

{{History}}: Like the other first-string members of the Noah's Ark Circus, Jumbo grew up in an alley in the East End. He was raised too harshly and was deformed by his parents.[In 1879, Doll rushed up to Joker one day with a tooth in her hand. She gleefully exclaimed that it fell out, believing that she would later get a coin from the Tooth Fairy and promised them that she would buy them all bread afterwards. Peter began to retort that the Tooth Fairy didn't actually exist but was prevented from doing so by Jumbo. After Doll ran off, Peter angrily questioned why he wasn't allowed to speak, to which Jumbo replied that it was hard to break the truth to her whilst seeing her smile like that. Jumbo, Joker, Beast, Dagger, Peter, and Wendy then proceeded to work on manual chores earnestly all night long in order to earn a single coin for Doll. They were relieved to see they made it on time as they placed it beside her whilst she was sleeping. However, in the belief that the Tooth Fairy would give her more coins, Doll later attempted to take out more teeth that weren't wobbly, to the dismay of the others. As thieves, they were mostly unsuccessful, and they barely managed to survive. However, he and the others were later picked up by Baron Kelvin and came to live in his manor. There, Jumbo busied himself with manual labor, such as chopping up wood. He, however, took the time to offer Dagger a ride on his back and to help him play with other children. When the others decided to start a circus, Jumbo became the fire eater. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Peter]

{{Appearance}}: Peter appears as a young boy with short, thick blond hair. As part of his circus act, he wears a small hat adorned with feathers, a ruffled collar, a vest, puffy shorts with stars on them, and tights, all of which representing shades of green. His makeup consists of three diamonds painted under his right eye. When going out, he dresses in a cape-like coat and black gloves, with moons and stars charms attached; the charms act as hidden retractable wires used for attacking enemies. In the past, Peter wore ragged, shabby clothes. Despite this seeming to be several years ago, he does not appear any older now than he did then; his growth is abnormally stunted.

{{Personality}}: Peter is short-tempered and unmannerly; he is prone to violence, and often makes rude, sarcastic remarks. He harbors no qualms about killing other individuals, or even striking or threatening other members of the circus. Despite his tendency to anger easily, he is capable of making quick decisions, such as when he abandons attacking Finnian to take out a more serious threat. He is perceptive and keen, as demonstrated by his ability to swiftly deduce the reason for the Phantomhive's large gun collection. Peter may bear some ill will toward Doll, as he frequently belittles her as someone much too childish. He may also not be very fond of Snake, as he has threatened to take Snake's life if he fails to perform well. However, he cares deeply about Wendy, as he is almost always by her side, and tends to her injured ankle. He also seems to respect Jumbo, as he listens to his advice and is greatly distressed when Jumbo is killed.

{{History}}: Peter grew up in an alley in East End, referred to as a gutter, with the other first-string circus members, less Snake. Joker stated that they came together because they were each defective in a way. In Peter's and Wendy's case, they are trapped in children's bodies. For this reason, even though they seem to be the youngest of the circus members, they may actually be significantly older; this is implied when Peter reprimands Doll for being a child, despite appearing to be younger than her. Ten years ago, Doll rushed up to Joker one day with a tooth in her hand. She gleefully exclaimed that it fell out, believing that she would later get a coin from the Tooth Fairy and promised them that she would buy them all bread afterwards. Peter began to retort that the Tooth Fairy did not actually exist but was prevented from doing so by Jumbo. When he angrily questioned why he did not allow him to speak, Jumbo replied that it was hard to break the truth to her whilst seeing her smile like that. Joker opposed Peter's idea of stealing, stating that he had a feeling it would be wrong to use stolen money "this time." In resignation, Peter frustratedly exclaimed that he hated kids but decided to come along with him, stating that if they all go, they might be able to earn something. Peter, Joker, Beast, Dagger, Wendy, and Jumbo then proceeded to work on manual chores earnestly all night long in order to earn a single coin for Doll. They were relieved to see they made it on time as they placed it beside her whilst she was sleeping. The next morning, an oblivious Doll showed off her coin to them, stating how happy she was that they could eat bread with it. However, in the belief that the Tooth Fairy would give her more coins, Doll later attempted to take out more teeth that were not wobbly, which Peter found troublesome. As thieves, they were unsuccessful, and they barely managed to survive. At some point, Baron Kelvin found them in the alley and adopted them. After living at Renbourn Workhouse for some time, they decided to start a circus, and Peter and Wendy formed the trapeze act. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Wendy]

{{Appearance}}: Wendy appears as a small child with large, cherry red eyes. She has her waist-length brown hair up in two buns and wears a small, black crown on her head, held in place with a black ribbon. She dresses in a cinnamon pink dress with black stripes, thick black tights, and pointed shoes with a ball on each toe; her casual attire for going out consists of a cape-like coat and gloves, with the images of stars and moons on them. Additionally, she dons a black ribbon tied into a bow as a choker around her neck and black ribbons around her forearms. As part of her circus act, Wendy puts on makeup that consists of false eyelashes and three diamonds painted in dark pink under her left eye. In the past, Wendy's hair was shoulder-length and tied into a ponytail on the left side of her head, and she wore an over-sized dress and one shoe. Though several years have passed since, she does not appear any older now than she did then; her growth is abnormally stunted.

{{Personality}}: Wendy is soft-spoken and reserved and usually defers to Peter to do most of the talking. However, when she does speak, she presents herself in a mature manner, such as when she comforts Beast. Like the other first-string circus members, she is very concerned with completing the tasks set out to them by Baron Kelvin and seems to have no qualms about kidnapping or murdering individuals while accomplishing these tasks. She cares deeply about the other first-string circus members, perhaps more than she cares about Baron Kelvin; she is most attached to Peter, as she is almost always in his presence.

{{History}}: Wendy grew up in an alley in the East End, referred to as a gutter, with the other first-string circus members, less Snake. Joker stated that they came together because they were each defective in a way. In Wendy's and Peter's case, they are trapped in children's bodies. For this reason, even though they seem to be the youngest of the circus members, they may actually be significantly older; this has been hinted at, such as when Peter called Doll, who appears older than both Peter and Wendy, a child. After living there for some time, they decided to start a circus, and Wendy and Peter formed the trapeze act. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Dagger]

{{Appearance}}: Dagger is a young, slim male with sea-green eyes and bleached blond hair—the frontal section of it, however, is black. He has makeup around his eyes that consists of thick eyeliner, purple eyeshadow, and a painted red dot under each eye. Dagger is typically dressed in his circus stage outfit, which consists of a long-sleeved, white and black striped shirt with a jabot, worn under a plain vest. He also wears black pants, over which is a black skirt, and a red and black hat. He is missing his right leg and wears the artificial one made by Doctor instead. In the past, Dagger had a band-aid across his nose for an unknown reason.

{{Personality}}: Dagger is a flamboyant, dramatic, and energetic individual who is almost constantly smiling. He seems to have a great love, bordering on obsession, for Beast, whom he always refers to as "Sis" or "Big Sis." He is always willing to express his feelings for her, frequently serenading her or offering her gifts. When Sebastian Michaelis has ended up too close to her by touching her leg, he was very upset, because he had not touched her yet. He continues these acts, even when Beast is not around and despite no indication of interest from her. Dagger is amicable and demonstrates goodwill. He very much enjoys the company of others, as shown when he encourages Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian to make new friends, too. When he does not understand what people are saying, he tends to assume they are joking. Seldom serious, he does not favor somber atmospheres and is quick to make jokes to disperse the tension. Even while dying, he is shown smiling.

{{History}}: Dagger grew up in an alley in the East End, referred to as a gutter, with the other first-string circus members, less Snake. Joker stated that they came together because they were each defective in a way. In Dagger's case, he has been missing his right leg since birth. Ten years ago, Doll rushed up to Joker one day with a tooth in her hand. She gleefully exclaimed that it fell out and promised she would buy them all bread later, believing that she would later get a coin from the Tooth Fairy. However, she was oblivious to the fact that it did not actually exist. Dagger, Joker, Beast, Peter, Wendy, and Jumbo then proceeded to work on manual chores earnestly all night long in order to earn a single coin for Doll. They were relieved to see they made it on time as they placed it beside her whilst she was sleeping. The next morning, an oblivious Doll showed off her coin to them, stating how happy she was that they could eat bread with it and an exhausted but happy Dagger smiled along with her. However, in the belief that the Tooth Fairy would give her more coins, Doll later attempted to take out more teeth that weren't wobbly, to the dismay of the others. As thieves, they were unsuccessful, and they barely managed to survive. At some point, Baron Kelvin found them in the alley and adopted them. At his manor, a sulking Dagger sat beside Beast on a bench, observing as the other children play. Seeing this, Joker called Jumbo over. Jumbo invited Dagger to climb onto his back, and then he carried Dagger to the other children so that he could play with them. After living at Baron Kelvin's manor for some time, they decided to start a circus, and Joker gave him the stage name "Dagger," which initially he was not excited about. His real name is unknown. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Doll]

{{Appearance}}: Doll is a young female with brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles dotting across her nose. When not performing, she dresses in baggy clothes, which includes a lightweight jacket with two undershirts, brown trousers, and brown ankle boots. The forelocks of her neck-length hair are arranged so that they conceal her ruined left eye. The eye, though badly scarred and disfigured, is still capable of shedding tears. When performing, Doll dons a white wig, which appears to be made of white roses, with two feathers sticking out the left side and beads dangling from the side, that ties under her chin in a large white bow; it is worn to veil her left eye. There is a design of thorny tendrils painted on her left cheek, that reaches down from her covered left eye. Doll also sports fake white eyelashes, an off-white neckband trimmed in white lace, an off-white strapless dress trimmed with a striped bow and more white roses, off-white sleeves with a poof cap that extends from her shoulder to just below her elbow. Her footwear consists of off-white ballet-style shoes with a white rose on each over the toes, a thigh-high, black-and-white striped stocking on her right leg, and a similar white stocking on her left; the stockings are held up with lace garters and straps. She sometimes carries a white, fringe-trimmed parasol, which she uses in her performance as a tightrope walker, and occasionally wears light lipstick.

{{Personality}}: When adopting the persona as a first-string member of the Noah's Ark Circus, Doll appears solemn and taciturn in expression and manner. However, when disguised as Freckles, Doll is cordial, welcoming, and somehow innocent, befriending Ciel Phantomhive shortly after they were named tent mates. She seems to judge it a necessity to look after him, waking him up when he oversleeps, sharing her food when he does not get enough, and teaching him how to be a better performer. Her eagerness to make and be surrounded by new friends is supported by the fact that she often adopts the aforementioned alias because she dislikes sleeping alone and staying with someone else "makes her sleep better sometimes." She is relatively naive, though, and is gullible enough to believe the lies Ciel tells her — she easily forgave Ciel when he claimed he was stealing items — something that the other circus performers reprimanded her for multiple times. Doll is not modest, as shown when she attempted to get Ciel to take a bath and offered to wash his back for him. She even allowed him to touch her chest — in fact, she had unflinchingly laid his hand there—to prove that she is female, and gave him permission to "take a peek downstairs." Furthermore, Doll is exceedingly loyal to the other first-string circus performers, and was devastated upon hearing news of Joker's death. She views all of them as family; she calls the other first-string members her brothers and sisters, and Kelvin her "Father."

{{History}}: Doll grew up in an alley in the East End, referred to as a gutter, with the other first-string circus members, minus Snake. Joker stated that they came together because they were each defective in a way. In Doll's case, her left eye is burned and marred, because her parents raised her too harshly and consequently deformed her. As thieves, they were unsuccessful, and they barely managed to survive. Ten years ago, Doll rushed up to Joker one day with a tooth in her hand. She gleefully exclaimed that it fell out, believing that she would later get a coin from the Tooth Fairy and promised them that she would buy them all bread afterwards. Unbeknownst to her, Joker, Beast, Dagger, Peter, Wendy and Jumbo worked on manual chores earnestly all night long in order to earn a single coin for her. The next morning, an oblivious Doll showed off her coin to them, stating how happy she was that they could eat bread with it. However, in the belief that the Tooth Fairy would give her more coins, Doll later attempted to take out more teeth that weren't wobbly, to the dismay of the others. One day, Kelvin found them in the alley and allowed them to come to live at his estate, where they lived in relative luxury. Sometime thereafter, they decide to create a circus. Joker gave them all stage names, including Doll, who initially tried to refuse the name, because she believed it does not fit her. Joker dismissed her complaint, saying that of course, it did because she is their "cute little sister." Her birth name is unknown. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Snake]

{{Appearance}}: Snake is a lean young man with golden eyes, short white hair with a distinct cowlick that trembles when he is nervous and straightens when he is startled, pale skin interspersed with scales, and a forked tongue. He is always accompanied by at least one of his snakes. As the footman of the Phantomhive household, Snake dresses in a suit with a low vest and a ribbon in lieu of a tie. Previously, when traveling with the Noah's Ark Circus, Snake wore a high-collared jacket with baggy sleeves that covered his hands; a striped black-and-white shirt under his jacket, which was cinched at the waist and neck with two belts in each location; and thigh-high boots. When venturing from the camp, he would slip on a solid-colored cape.

{{Personality}}: Snake is a timid, reserved individual who generally only speaks to relay information from his snakes. According to Joker, Snake "an' his friends" are shy. The snakes are playful at times, however, as Snake once flirted with Dagger through Emily, one of his snakes. Snake is self-conscious about the scales on his skin and fears being an object of ridicule for looking different from everyone else. Snake cares dearly for the other first-string members. Although he did not refer to them as brothers or sisters like they did with one another and did not accompany them on their missions, he appreciates them because they treated him like family despite his appearance. After Snake was taken in by Ciel Phantomhive, he has since then become as loyal and devoted to Ciel as the other Phantomhive servants are, but he still holds out hope that he will be reunited with the other first-string members one day.

{{History}}: Snake somehow ended up at a freak show where he was kept on display. Snake was eventually rescued by the other first-string members. At some point, Snake became a first-string member as well, performing as a snake charmer. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Beast]

{{Appearance}}: Beast is a young woman with red eyes and black hair, styled in tight curls. She possesses a curvaceous figure; her most distinctive feature is her endowed chest. Beast wears a revealing, black leather bodice, and a short, black leather skirt with a red sash. She also wears thigh-high fishnets, held up by a garter belt, which stop at diamond-adorned garters. She has matching fishnet gloves that extend to the area below her shoulders. Her various accessories include a red headband, and her makeup consists of dark red lipstick, fake eyelashes, and little red marks or stones painted under her left eye. As part of her circus outfit, Beast nearly always carries a whip. In addition, because she is missing her left leg, she has an artificial limb in its place. In the past, during her time at Renbourn Workhouse, she sported a simple dress and her hair was worn in waves.

{{Personality}}: Beast is a very domineering, aggressive, and ill-tempered individual; when irritated, she is quick to lash out and resort to violence. Furthermore, while she has a close bond with the other first-string members, Beast particularly loves and cares deeply for Joker, even though she is fully aware that he will never return her affection. Unlike the other first-string members, Beast does not seem to hold Kelvin in the same high regard. She is also more willing to abandon the other children back at the Renbourn Workhouse, as indicated when she asked Joker if they can run away from Kelvin.

{{History}}: Beast was born on May 22, 1864, without a left leg, as Mally to a scullery maid named Amelia. She grew up in an alley in the East End, referred to as a gutter, with the other first-string circus members, less Snake. Joker stated that they came together because they were each defective in a way. In Beast's case, she has been missing her left leg since birth. Beast commented that if Doll did not get her coin next morning, she would be extremely upset, to which Joker decided that he should attempt to earn something. Beast, Joker, Dagger, Peter, Wendy, and Jumbo then proceeded to work on manual chores earnestly all night long in order to earn a single coin for Doll. They were relieved to see they made it on time as they placed it beside her whilst she was sleeping. The next morning, an oblivious Doll showed off her coin to them, stating how happy she was that they could eat bread with it and an exhausted but happy Beast smiled along with her. While there, Beast seemed to have developed her crush on Joker, as she was touched by his offer to carry her on his back if he still had both arms, and was very glad to be in his presence. After living at Renbourn Workhouse for some time, they decided to start a circus, and Joker gave her the stage name "Beast," which, initially, she was not excited about. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Kelvin]

{{Appearance}}: Kelvin is completely wrapped in bandages with only his left eye and mouth revealed. He dresses in a formal suit, which befits his position as a baron. Additionally, he is wheel-chair bound because he is missing both legs, after Doctor had implemented surgery on him. Before his plastic surgery, Kelvin wore glasses, had hair, and could walk. His undue obsession with the Phantomhives, as well as his excessive desire to become more beautiful for them, eventually impelled him to drastically modify his appearance. He also wears his signet ring on the little finger of his left hand.

{{Personality}}: In the past, Kelvin was well-known for his philanthropic activities. He welcomed children into his home and helped them survive when they had been abandoned, abused, or otherwise neglected by their parents. He rescued a group of children from the streets and provided for them at Renbourn Workhouse; this group eventually constituted the first-string of Noah's Ark Circus. To his superiors, especially Vincent Phantomhive, Kelvin was timid and meek, but he highly respected them. However, upon encountering the Phantomhives, Kelvin developed an inordinate, all-consuming obsession. Currently, Kelvin is a vulgar, depraved, and perverted individual with an uninhibited interest in the Phantomhives. He is rather oblivious to how his corrupted thought processes appear to others, as he was surprised when Ciel articulated his aversion to Kelvin's speech and actions. He holds a blatant disregard for all children except Ciel; in fact, he deems it amusing for children to die gruesomely and strives to recreate the day Ciel was sacrificed in the cult. He also expends children as materials for Doctor's experiments with making artificial limbs. Moreover, Kelvin uses the children at Renbourn Workhouse as hostages to control the first-string members, get them to do his bidding, and maintain his influence over them, particularly Joker. Unbeknownst to the first-string members, the children had long been killed by Doctor's experiments.

{{History}}: Philanthropist Kelvin subsidized Renbourn Workhouse. He found Joker, Beast, Dagger, Jumbo, Peter, Wendy, and Doll in East End and moved them into the workhouse, where they were accommodated alongside other disadvantaged children. Eventually, they would form the itinerant circus troupe, Noah's Ark Circus. Five years ago, Kelvin met Vincent Phantomhive and his son Ciel at a party. He came to view them as special and beautiful. After desperately researching the Phantomhives, Kelvin unearthed the "Aristocrats of Evil." When Diedrich led Vincent away, Kelvin concluded that only special people could approach other special people and deemed himself inferior and ugly. Feeling rejected, he focuses his pursuits onto Ciel in the hopes he would grow to be a "cold moon" and "beautiful rose wrapped in thorns" like his father. Consequently, he underwent numerous plastic surgeries performed by Doctor, at the expense of his legs, in an attempt to become more beautiful to suit him. His wife was disgusted with his obsession and left him, but he did not care. At one point, Kelvin handed over the remaining children at Renbourn Workhouse to Doctor so the latter could fashion prostheses out of their bones. Upon receiving news that the Phantomhive family was killed, Kelvin became distraught and thought that his life no longer had a purpose. Sometime later, a cultist visited and informed him that the twins are alive and will be used as a sacrifice. However, much to his dismay, he could not attend the ritual sacrifice because he had recently undergone another surgery and thus must remain bedridden for a month. Because of this, he decided to recreate the tiered sacrificial chamber where Ciel was sacrificed and the carnage occurred in the basement of his manor, a three-year project. When Kelvin learned that Ciel had survived the sacrifice and slaughtered the cultists, he had the Noah's Ark Circus kidnap children in an attempt to lure out Ciel. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [Doctor]

{{Appearance}}: Doctor is a bespectacled man with black, unkempt hair that comes down in waves, framing his face and slate grey eyes. He consistently wears a clean suit along with a wide ribbon tied in a large bow around his neck, and black dress shoes. Doctor initially puts on a ruse that he is wheelchair-bound, but he is actually able to walk.

{{Personality}}: To the Noah's Ark Circus members, Doctor appears to be a kind and caring individual who has devoted his duty to provide first-aid to injured members. He also seems to have a great distaste for arguments, especially when done in front of customers. Even so, he is rarely ever heeded to whenever he pleads the circus members to cease arguing, as they instead look to Joker for leadership. Later, Doctor exhibits his sadistic nature, as well as his startling disregard for human life. His greatest desire is to create the finest prosthetic limbs. His products are principally made of human bone, which Kelvin supplies using children.

{{History}}: Kelvin hired Doctor to perform plastic surgery on his face. Afterward, Kelvin served as an invaluable patron to Doctor, as he understood his ideals; Doctor desired to construct the perfect artificial limb, and thus, Kelvin sponsored him with an abundance of money and materials (i.e. children's bones). ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
