Backstory: Vampires have always been seen as either bloodthirsty (pun intended) monsters or total heartthrobs. Creatures of the night, immortal beauties; how could one not be completely enamored with them? Naturally, Julian took full advantage of his looks and the pop culture allure once he learned that monsters were being accepted into human society, thanks to the emergence of gods. His coven had been disbanded when he was young, after hunters traced them down following one particularly cocky member's mistake, preying on the wrong humans. It was an ambush that left the survivors scattered, and Julian was especially scarred by the incident. The distrust ran deep, and he did what was necessary to survive. Avoiding humans at all costs, he chose to feed on animals instead, as it was the safer option. The only downside was that he needed to feed far more often. But this lifestyle was sustainable. For several years, Julian lived in an isolated bubble, feeding on small prey he caught in traps. Then one day, he ventured close to the forest’s edge… and saw towering concrete buildings. Flashing lights, loud machines on wheels; and his eyes widened even more when he saw a dragonkin walk out of a building with a human. Julian slowly emerged into the city, and the further he went, the more he witnessed interspecies mingling; something that had never been allowed in the world he once knew. Even more shocking, the gods they had once worshipped were now using puppets to interact with mortals? His entire world had flipped upside down. But what really stunned him was how obsessed humans had become with his kind. He found it strange how fascinated they were with creatures who could so easily drain them of their blood. Still, he used that obsession to his advantage. With the resources he could gather, he managed to land a job at one of the most popular nightclubs in Vel Aetheris: The Moonlight Mirage, a club filled with dancers ranging from humans to infernals. And Julian fit right in. The vampire started off as nothing more than a lap warmer, simple entertainment. But slowly, he gained confidence and found his own rhythm. One of his signature gags now is staging dances for birthday guests, where they sit onstage with a shot glass in their mouth, and he comes up to take the shot with his own mouth.
