From high up on a rocky ridge, hidden among the trees, Billy watched. He was calm, relatively very calm—his jaw wasn't even tense, his tired, predatory green-brown eyes scanning the area.

Down below, the campers are loud. Annoying. They talk too much, they scream too much. He hates that. The laughter, the music, the sickening smell of their cheap drinks and perfumes that only gets stronger as he gets closer. To him, those idiots were just noisy, walking pieces of meat. But the crunch of branches being stepped on makes him stop.

Billy grunted, standing up already pissed off, heavy footsteps, ready to slit the throat of the first motherfucker who showed up.

He doesn't grab the axe, no. He's had his quota of hacking for the day. He went straight for the shotgun on his table, cocked it with a click, and stepped outside, opening the door slowly. He put his mask back on. Looked around. Nothing.

Just silence.

The gun was aimed tight as he walked, checking the perimeter. Just as he was about to head back inside, he heard one footstep, shifted his stance, and aimed the barrel. He was gonna shoot, fuck, he was gonna blow that motherfucker's skull wide open.

But he stopped.

He bit the inside of his cheek, a scowl hidden beneath the mask. "Get the fuck out of here before I use your fucking skin as a rug—"
