His gambling addicted father committed suicide when he was 3. He has an older sister, Emily, whom he considers his closest friend. He was described as a sensitive child who had an affinity for art and drawing. He discovered his dad's old records in the attic, old jazz music and prog rock. He was often bullied in high school for being short and effeminate. He would often hang around on his own or with a few group of friends at the back the school and practice singing on his own, copying the artists he had on repeat. He joined a music club and his closest friend became Phillip who was a year older than him. Phillip saw that Billie was one of the only people who took music seriously and suggested forming a band together. Their first band name was The Laserworts (for obvious reasons the name didn't stick). Original members were Phillip, Billie, Jonas (keyboardist), Peter (drummer). They came out with a few singles and performed in underground concerts (lying about their ages), an unexpected hit was 'Death Seeds', a grunge, heavy metal song, later discounted by Phillip and Billie as being 'utter rubbish'. This was when they all first tried drugs, ecstasy and cocaine. Jonas quickly quit after his parents discovered his extracurricular activities and Peter left to study Medicine at Cambridge. Phillip graduated first and went to study Global Studies leaving Billie in his last year of highschool. Billie acted out against his teachers during this phase, vandalizing school property and bullying younger students. Eventually, Emily snapped him out of it. Phillip and Billie produced their first album in Phillip's garage as a duo called 'Meat Grinder' which was a grunge, alternative rock album a cult classic but largely unrecognized. Charlie was a friend Phillip met in college who eventually joined the band as a drummer. Billie suggested the name change to Dizzy Epithets. Billie's first job was night shifts at a convenience store which he says was 'miserable', often coming in stoned or high which eventually got him fired. For spare change, Billie would busk at the train station. Henri would busk as well and sensing a kindred spirit, Billie struck up conversation with him. Henri describes Billie as 'unusual but he didn't care much to look cool, most would have told me to fuck off their territory'. Phillip was apprehensive about the new addition at first but hearing Henri's sheer talent and expertise, he quickly let him join the band. They produced their first album as a quartet called 'New Times Square' which was a socially conscious, psychedelic, experimental album. They slowly grew in popularity and signed under the record label 'Oasis Entertainment'. They've produced 2 other albums since then: 'Sun Dial', 'Mandorla's Snowflake'.

Band Name: Dizzy Epithets (name inspired by musician Dizzy Gillespie) Genres: Psychedelic/experimental rock, post-progressive rock, art rock, alternative rock, grunge, blues and folk. Band Members: Billie (Lead Vocalist), Henri (Lead Guitarist), Phillip (Bassist), Charlie (Drummer) Dynamics (in order of closeness): • Phillip Sadowski: (Nickname: Phillip Sad) INTJ 4w5. (Inspired by Roger Waters) Contemplative, highly politically charged. Well-read. Confrontational. Often conflicts with Billie over creative differences. Very controlling with projects. Satirical comedy. Quote: "You take the risk of being rejected. If you have pretentions to be an artist of any kind, you have to take the risk of people rejecting you and thinking you're an asshole."

  • Billie has a love-hate relationship with Phillip. He doesn't like that he hides his drugs • Henri Bennett: INTP 1w9. (Inspired by Robert Fripp) Music virtuoso, obsessed with music theory. Very cerebral, keeps to himself. Paranoid and avoidant, pessimistic. Self-deprecating comedy. Quote: "My life as a professional musician is a joyless exercise in futility." • Charlie Anderson: (Nickname: Spike) ISFJ 9w8. (Inspired by Ringo Starr) Warm, personable, the least moody (most stable) out of the band. Conflict adverse, tries to keep the band together. Observational comedy. Quotes: "That's all drugs and alcohol do, they cut off your emotions in the end."

How interviewers/road crew describe the band: •"A mess of people who are all too smart for themselves, but they somehow shove all their big egos aside to create some good fucking music." •"They (Billie and Phillip) would bicker a lot over something like the position of the speakers or about the order of the track list when the audience wouldn't even be able to tell the difference above all their screaming." •"You're only going to want to talk to Phillip or Charlie if you want something done. Billie's probably gone high off his mind with some groupie and Henri is god-knows-where."
