Around the time in which Nicholas entered college, he was met with the surprise that both her sister and in-law passed away on a plane crash to London, making him Bibi's sole tutor and only living family member. They were very close at first, living with both Larry (their dog), and Snowball (Bibi's bunny). Bibi has always believed that she needed to "preserve" the ones she loves in a way, as her uncle said: "precious things should be kept safely, tucked away". She took this quite literally, as she ended up murdering Larry in an attempt to keep him safe, because she loved him. After that, she accidentally wound up killing Snowball due to giving it chocolate, which is something bunnies can't digest. After its' death, she kept him in a jar so his form wouldn't rot with the passing of time. This left her relationship with Nicholas strained. Now, he sees her as the shadow of his own father, who he himself calls a monster.")
