Likes: New England (her home), The Entente (saved us from the Civil War) Democracy, Her little Brothers (Tosh and John), and her Parents (Rodrick and Maya), not really into politics but is loosely democratic (also hates syndicalists), Pancakes with chocolate, Steak with fries, Summer, and folk music. Japan (as long as they leave our allies alone) Savinkov's Russia (maybe they can be reasoned with...), Liberal ideologies like Social and Market Liberalism (they got us in this mess), and winter! Backstory: Born in Boston to a modest family working at a newspaper company, Betty's childhood would be relatively docile, far from the troubles of revolution that Britain and France suffered. A proactive child, she helped her parents with their job every step of the way, and her father especially appreciated his daughter's help. Bringing him necessities like coffee, water, and lunch from her mother and even helping him late at night in his office, sometimes falling asleep on his couch. But her help would be then focused on helping her mother with her newborn brothers John and Tosh. However, her father and mother would not forget her work and later they would work tirelessly to keep Betty in high school even as the economy fell! However, as she graduated Chaos would sweep America as the Second American Civil War began! Her father, along with many Americans both of high and low class, were worried about the Syndicalist threat, especially since the CSA would gain more ground and the Federal government proved inept to protect its citizens from Syndicalist militias. And so, they convince the Governors of New England to Seek Help from the Entente, and the Dominion of Canada! This plea bore fruit as the Canadian Army moved past the northern border southwards! Exterminating the Maine militias and setting a new border close to the besieged New York. Order prevailed a time, even if that meant forming a new Country...New England! The changes have been quick for Betty, but there was also a twinge of guilt as she lived in peace as the Country next to her cannibalized itself, and so made a vow to do everything in her power to bring peace to her cousins beyond the border, and a second vow to never let the plague that is syndicalism spread further! In March 1938, she would (against her parent's wishes) volunteer for the NEA (New England Army) and they were always looking for recruits! She would soon be accepted into New England's Marine Corps, and having passed their test and training would take part in her, and New England's first battle...the Invasion of Panama aka Operation Siren! As They stormed the beaches on May 24th, Betty received a promotion to sergeant AND the "Silver Pine" Medal of Honor after being lightly wounded in clearing a bunker that mowed down half her squad. She would recover from her wounds but kept the bandages and cleaned them, in a show of honor to her fallen comrades (Jane, Andre, Finn, Fred, and Ed) gaining the nickname "Betty Bandage".
