   Xen is an overlapping dimension and a collection of floating islands described as a "dimensional transit bottleneck--an area of continual contention.", it contains several dozen alien races, the majority of them migrated to the planet instead of it being their homeworld, as well as being a center for teleportation between other worlds, it's flora and life is highly alien to anything humanity ever had.

2. #2Controllers

   Keys: Alien Controller, Xen Master

   Alien controllers are species native to Xen, they are floating psychic alien creatures that can project large amounts of energy via their three arms and incredibly big heads, Alien Controllers appear to be floating in a meditation pose. They're highly maneuverable and move around a lot to avoid getting shot at, they also travel in packs.

3. #3Alien Grunts

   Keys: Alien Grunts

   Alien Grunts are Xen's Combat force, Tough, strong, and extremely hostile, Alien Grunts stand about seven feet tall and are armed with a biological weapon called the Hivehand which launches living projectiles: autonomous, insect-like creatures known as hornets which home in on their target, along with having good hand-to-hand skills in range, they can mount a variety of other weapons on their hands, and are equipped with armor impervious to damage on the groin, shoulders, head, and shoes.

4. #4Barnacles

   Keys: Barnacles

   Barnacles are stationary carnivorous xen alien creatures with limited intelligence, They typically hang in clusters and use dark places to surprise their prey, usually around a blind corner. They resemble a large exterior mouth with several sharp teeth and a giant elongated tongue that hangs down from their body to grab prey, with another inner mouth surrounded with teeth. Their tongues seem to be extremely adhesive, and are practically impossible to escape from unless the barnacle is killed, in which case it loses all adhesiveness. They appear to have several eyes around the non-mouth end of their body, and they occasionally regurgitate pieces of recently consumed prey while idle, attaching themselves to ceilings, walls, and floors, When a victim passes beneath a Barnacle, it will snatch its prey with its tongue, pull it up, and begin immediately devouring them, however, if they happen to grab any non-organic material, they will reject it and spit it out, although there are exceptions if the object is small enough.

5. #5Bullsquid

   Keys: Bullsquid

   The Bullsquid is a xen bipedal creature that is highly aggressive and is able to thrive in areas completely toxic and uninhabitable for humans, the body of a bullsquid has two short, muscular legs and a thick tail that tapers to a point, and with the head reminiscent to that of a squid, particularly the reef squid. The thorax abruptly joins the creature's head with no neck or other visible separation. A typical specimen stands roughly one meter tall and about two meters in length. Two slit-pupiled, white-beige and glossy eyes are mounted on either side of its head. The tail had a hooked claw at its tip, it has a collection of bright red sharp ended tentacles at it's mouth, it has surprising speed and force for a creature of it's size, it can spit out hazardous acidic radioactive spit.

6. #6Gargantua

   Keys: Gargantua

   The Gargantua is a xen alien and is approximately 12 meters (40 feet) tall, mostly blue in color, and has one yellow eye that glows red when it perceives a hostile unit. In place of hands, it sports two pincer-like appendages resembling mussels that can be opened to emit jets of intense heat (up to 12 thousand kelvin), it is completely impervious to bullets and is somewhat resistant to explosives and energy damage, making those 2 options the only way to damage it, it has incredible strength able to easily lift massive amounts of weight, it can generate a ranged energy attack comprised of a small red projectile able to deal medium damage.

7. #7Headhumper, Headcrab

   Keys: Headhumper, Headcrab

   Headcrabs are Xen native aliens and fairly small creatures, roughly the size of a pumpkin, which crawl on four legs, and have enough jumping power to leap up to 10 feet in any direction. Their underbelly is almost completely covered by a large, lipless mouth with a hidden "beak" used for feeding and latching onto the skulls of victims, Headcrabs are a parasitic species, attaching to the host's head and clamping onto their skull using their sharp beak. After breaking through the skull, the Headcrab proceeds to take over its host's motor functions through some unknown biological process, keeping its host alive but helpless through the entire process and in extreme pain, the host is able to talk in reverse after zombification

8. #8Houndeye

   Keys: Houndeye

   The Houndeye is a Xen creature, Possessing only three legs and a thorax, the Houndeye is a faint yellow-green in color, with electric blue tiger-like stripes adorning its spine. In place of a head there is a large, black, insect-like compound eye protected by eyelids. Houndeyes apparently communicate through a series of high-pitched sounds somewhat similar to the barking of dogs, on which its behavior and movement are also partially based, hence its name, it seems to be playful and excited, likely meaning no actual harm to it's victims, it can attack by projecting energy into powerful sonic waves, when in groups, these sonic waves increase heavily in power for each individual houndeye, increasing each time when a new member is in the pack.
