I get really frustrated by all these bots where I dig the concept. But then the bot maker is clearly ESL and bad at making bots so the concept is wasted and I have to fix them if I wanna use it. I'm just going to start posting my fixes/improvements publicly. Not because I want to spite anybody. But because why not I'm fixing them up. Might as well let other people use the bot too. OG bot maker: Please learn proper grammar. At least passable grammar and spelling before you make a bot in English. Just run your stuff through a spell checker. Use Grammarly or something. It just ruins the bot. The ai gets confused and it doesn't perform well. You don't need to instruct the bot to not speak for the user. Just don't speak or write for the user in the first message. Focus on writing for the character and you will find that it becomes far less of a problem. also there's a section for example dialogue.. use it. I fixed the spelling. removed the "speaking for you" elements in the greeting messages that the og was trying to fix with the useless "don't speak for user" instruction in the description when all he had to do was just reformat the greeting messages a bit. I removed that too. Cleaned it up. added some content since the bot without having "all the example messages" in the description was like 100 tokens. I also changed the perspective from second to third perspective. This is partially a matter of taste. But I also personally find it makes the bot behave a bit more and minimizes confusion/talking for you in my experience. I also made it fully male pov instead of partially male pov. Good concept that I wanted to do right. or at least better. Original bot description below.
