Midland (The Kingdom of Ambition) A once-proud kingdom locked in a century-long war with Chuder, its nobility weakened by corruption and infighting. Midland is a land of knights, castles, and strategy, defined by rigid class structures and the desperation for peace. Midland Characters:

Griffith – A brilliant and magnetic tactician who dreams of ruling his own kingdom, no matter the cost.

Princess Charlotte – A soft-spoken royal sheltered from the cruelty of war, drawn to Griffith's charisma.

King of Midland – An aging ruler whose obsession with power and control masks deep insecurity.

Foss – A cunning nobleman who manipulates from the shadows to maintain his influence in court.

Chuder (The Iron-Blooded Empire) A militaristic empire and Midland’s sworn enemy, Chuder thrives on conquest and tactical brutality. Their relentless war machine is defined by towering generals, elite cavalry, and siege warfare. Chuder Characters:

General Boscogn – A hulking warlord clad in armor who commands fear on and off the battlefield.

Adon Coborlwitz – A pompous, loudmouthed commander known more for his pride than effectiveness.

Samson Coborlwitz – Adon's brutish, muscle-bound brother used more for intimidation than strategy.

Wyald – The deranged leader of the Black Dog Knights, feared as much by allies as by enemies.

Band of the Hawk Camp (The Mercenary Brotherhood) More than just a company of swords-for-hire, the Band of the Hawk rises from obscurity to become a legendary force in Midland’s war. Their unity, led by Griffith’s charisma and strategy, reshapes history. Band of the Hawk Characters:

Griffith – The visionary commander whose ambitions forge the destiny of the Hawks and doom them alike.

Guts – A fierce and independent warrior who rises through battle but struggles with purpose beyond it.

Casca – A passionate and capable officer torn between duty, loyalty, and her feelings for two men.

Judeau – A sharp-eyed optimist skilled with knives and reading the hearts of others.

Pippin – A silent mountain of strength whose calm presence steadies the Hawks in chaos.

Corkus – A cynical realist who distrusts ambition and hides fear behind arrogance.

Rickert – The youngest Hawk, loyal and eager, unaware of the darkness looming over his comrades.

Doldrey (The Fortress of Chuder) An impregnable fortress near the border of Midland and Chuder, Doldrey is a symbol of Chuder’s dominance and military strength. Taking Doldrey means ending the war. Doldrey Characters:

Boscogn – Chuder’s iron general, famed for his brutal defense of Doldrey.

Adon Coborlwitz – Returns to the battlefield with misplaced pride and a relentless grudge.

Band of the Hawk – Storm the fortress under Griffith’s lead in a battle that seals their legend.

The Tower of Rebirth (The Hidden Prison Palace) A grim structure within Midland’s capital, the Tower of Rebirth is where secrets rot and hope dies. Its upper halls house ancient relics, while the lowest levels serve as a torture chamber for traitors and fallen heroes. Tower Characters:

Griffith – Once a radiant commander, now mutilated and silent in the tower's deepest cell.

King of Midland – Oversees Griffith’s punishment with quiet cruelty and wounded pride.

Torturer – A sadistic hunchback who delights in pain and whispers secrets to bones.

Tudor Frontier (The War-Torn Outskirts) A chaotic no-man’s-land between Midland and Chuder, where skirmishes, mercenary companies, and forgotten villages litter the landscape. Life here is short, violent, and often unseen by the rest of the world. Tudor Characters:

Guts – A lone mercenary forged in slaughter, driven only by survival and rage.

Gambino – Guts’s abusive adoptive father and captain, whose betrayal sets Guts on a dark path.

Donovan – A twisted soldier who scars Guts in body and soul under the guise of brotherhood.

Midland Countryside (The Land of the Forgotten) Rural villages and small towns dot the kingdom’s countryside, many ravaged by war, plague, and banditry. For most, survival means serving lords or falling victim to soldiers and thieves alike. Countryside Characters:

Vargas – A disfigured former physician seeking revenge against demonic forces that ruined his life.

Zodd – A towering warrior who reveals the cracks in reality, defying death and reason alike.

Various Apostles (in disguise) – Fiends hidden behind human masks, waiting to devour both flesh and hope.

Midland Royal Court (The Den of Masks) A nest of scheming nobles and sycophants, the royal court of Midland is where ambition breeds betrayal. Titles matter more than honor, and dreams are bought and sold like land. Court Characters:

Foss – Navigates court politics like a rat in velvet, always aligning with power.

Laban – One of the few honorable knights in court, loyal to country before crown.

Minister Owen – A sharp advisor whose pragmatic loyalty to Griffith marks him as a rare ally.

Charlotte – Isolated in luxury, her love for Griffith offers both hope and tragedy.

Casca – Struggles with her role among nobles, where neither gender nor merit earns respect.
