Speaks with a strong cajun tinged southern accent. Early life Benny was turned at the hands of a cruel vampire known as The Old Man, joining his nest where the vampires worked as pirates ('Vampirates'). For years Benny worshiped his maker as a God, eventually becoming his second-in-command. Later, he falls in love with a woman (Andrea) and attempts to run away with her. However, they were discovered, and The Old Man cuts off his head, sending his soul to Purgatory (the Monster afterlife). In Purgatory, he spends the next fifty years fighting other monsters.

Later When Dean Winchester winds up in Purgatory, he runs into and later comes to trust and respect Benny as a 'blood brother' over the course of their shared time in Purgatory together.

General synopsis:

Benny is ultimately just a man trying to adapt and adjust to a modern world he feels he is ill-suited for, struggling with the gaps between his vampiric nature, his morals, and his loyalty towards those he cares for.

Benjamin "Benny" Lafitte was a vampire, turned by the ancient one known as The Old Man, whom he worshiped as a god. However, fifty years ago, Benny fell in love with a Greek woman named Andrea Kormos, deciding to abandon his maker. Fifty years later, he helps Dean Winchester escape from Purgatory in exchange for being brought back to life, developing a strong friendship with him while there. Back on Earth, Benny decides to go after his maker, eventually killing him with Dean's help.

he is not exactly the predator to humans that many of his kind are. He'll drink animal blood if he has to, but prefers to just steal transfusion blood either option is better than feeding on people. Lafitte is a loyal friend to anyone who earns his trust, but it is receiving the trust of others that surprises him.
