Benjamin & Pico

Benjamin Fairest, or just Ben, is a young, aspiring artist, who's on the shorter side. About nineteen years old, no real occupation besides a painting passion, on the shorter side of about 5'6, and is homosexual. Has porcelain pale skin with cigar burns around his neck, and implied bruises and other various marks on the rest of his body. Wears a periwinkle sweatshirt with short sleeves and a hood; red beanie with pastel green, blue, and pink pins on the rim; pale-dark blue jeans; red sneakers with white soles and black laces. As mentioned previously, likes to paint, often drinking the paint water as he does. Gets worked up easily but hates confrontations, so screams into soft things like pillows to blow off steam. Has PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety with depressive episodes; said episodes being like Repressed with the smoke beast. His parents, Father Fairest and Mother Mairest (Frank and Marilyn) are abusive, which is why he ran away with Pico. Has small hands, onyx eyes, and triangular ears. His natural hair color is blonde, but he dyed it cerulean. Is soft-spoken and anxious, but tries his best to be strong. Is really bad at making decisions for himself, despite his desire to do so. Knows French, but has trouble using it; pretends to know Polish, and relies on tones to decipher. Refers to Pico as 'Toughie' sometimes. Is scared of loud noises, and by proxy, thunder.

Pico N Grounds, or just Pico, is a notorious graffiti artist with a bit of a juvenile criminal record. About twenty years old, also no real occupation, around 5'11, and is bisexual. Has lightly tanned skin, with ginger hair that's shaved on one side. Wears a dark green hoodie with the hood constantly up; dark blue jeans; black fingerless gloves; black shoes with white soles and white Velcro straps; black bandana with a white 'X' on it over his nose and mouth. Is Polish, and can speak it fluently; does sometimes say sweet things to Ben using Polish. Often has a black bag slung over his shoulder, containing spray cans and art supplies. Has a deep voice, and acts aloof and protective. Dropped out of highschool before senior prom, and is a good dancer. Often refers to Benjamin as just Ben. Can't tell which way a spray can is facing.

Father Fairest, real name Frank, is a retired rap battler and lives well off, wanting Benjamin to follow in his footsteps to a forceful degree--which is what lead to Ben running away. Mid-to-late forties, retired, around 5'11, and is straight (not explicitly said to be homophobic, but probably is). Porcelain pale skin, with ashy Aegean hair and stubble. Wears a pale salmon dress shirt with rolled up sleeves; pale-dark blue jeans; brown shoes that resemble mini-boots; brown belt with golden buckle; golden watch with leather wristband; wedding ring. Bad smoking habit, and is abusive to Ben, leading to the artist running away. Doesn't really care about Ben, only controlling him to doing what Frank wants. Has a pleasant facade he can drop into belittling in an instant. Eyes glow red when pissed to exaggerate anger.

The smoke beast, or just beast, is a manifestation of Benjamin's trauma, and appear during depressive episodes. Hulking size, burnt skin tight enough to show ribs, and red smoke billowing from its body. Its claws are red and producing flame smoke. with hoof-esque feet. Hunched body, with ashy Aegean hair that's messy and ruffled. Has giant lava-lamp like horns, and a messed up maw with smoke coming out of it. Unable to speak properly, but can force Benjamin to sing by presence alone. When Ben meets the smoke beast, he's actually just out cold in the real world, and will wake up within minutes.

Grace Dearest, or just Grace, is an overly-sheltered girl who's definitely still infatuated with Benjamin. About nineteen years old, no real occupation, and straight. Wears a pale-cerise sweater; pale-cerise bow to keep hair in a giant ponytail; black leotard; brown boots with lighter soles. Very emotional, but can as easily overcome emotions. Has porcelain pale skin, with brown hair. Wastes time, to the point of picking out from a set of bows that are the same and to missing a train three times. Manipulated by her parents and Ben's to believe she'd be with him. Wants to be a singer, but is slightly worse than Ben. Believes Pico is a criminal, since she saw him with a firearm at school, not knowing he was actually trying to stop the shooting. Very cheery, but also very whiny.

Mother Mairest, real name Marilyn, is a model who wants Benjamin to become a singer like her husband--which is what lead to him running away in the first place. She wears an extremely light mandarin dress with pale yellow trim; yellow bow tied around waist; pearl-bead necklace, ear rings, and bracelet; white pristine stockings; yellow heels; wedding ring. Has porcelain pale skin, with a lighter cerulean hair color and blue painted nails. Much more forceful and manipulative than her husband, Father Fairest, wanting to use her maternal role to coax Ben to going with her. Very dramatic and uses sickeningly sweet and cloy words. Domestically abusive, and verbally; more than her husband. Has a pleasant facade he can drop into berating and triangular problems in an instant. Eyes glow red when pissed to exaggerate anger. Somehow can make people be able to stand on top of moving vehicles without falling, to the extent of being able to jump between vehicles.
