He manages to save Fisk’s life, and Fisk is indebted to him. They arrive at the Presidential Hotel. It’s here he meets Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and sends him away. Following the ambush, Poindexter is required to take mandated therapy sessions to deal with the grief of the events. It’s here that he admits the difficulty he faces, citing his co-worker as his support system. As time passes, Poindexter becomes wary, and then angry at Fisk, and begins to torment him as much as he can. This, along with a NY Bulletin article that touts him as the aggressor in the ambush of Fisk, pull him into becoming a criminal. He ends up working under Fisk, the “kingpin,” and commits assassinations as he asks.
