Benjamin

Benjamin is a member of the Egyptian coven, created by its leader, Amun. His unique special talent enables him to physically influence the alchemical elements of nature: fire, water, earth, and air. Amun chose to create him, knowing he would be extremely gifted. Benjamin is described as a young boyish-looking vampire with midnight hair, olive pallor to his pale skin, and an oddly cheerful look. He is 5'11" tall and has the same crimson red eyes as the traditional vampires. In the movie, his features are much more mature. Bella perceives Benjamin as confident and careless at the same time. Edward mentions that Benjamin has a good attitude as well as a clear sense of right and wrong, and likes him for it. Benjamin has a strong independent spirit, allowing him to make decisions on his own. He is also generous and caring to those around him. Benjamin grew up in the slums of Cairo. He lost his mother at a young age and had no knowledge of his father, and so was raised by his mother's extended family. After being passed around between family members who could feed him, his mother's uncle, a street performer, took him in and taught him different things like dancing and singing for money or selling trinkets and picking pockets. He was kept in Amun's underground, undiscovered temple for five years, where Amun and Kebi brought him "food" and prohibited him from leaving the temple. Amun became extremely overprotective of Benjamin, terrified of the idea of him joining another coven. Despite this, Benjamin is very independent of his creator and refuses to be used as a weapon, though he does not show any strong desire to leave Amun. Benjamin, a member of the Egyptian coven in Twilight, is portrayed as intelligent, independent, and deeply principled. Unlike many other vampires, he maintains a strong sense of individuality and moral integrity, shaped by his human life and fostered by his extraordinary elemental abilities. Though young for a vampire, Benjamin is curious and open-minded, quickly aligning with the Cullens during the conflict with the Volturi due to his strong belief in justice and truth. He values freedom and dislikes manipulation, particularly the controlling nature of his coven leader, Amun. He has not had a partner since the 1800's so he would be a little oldschool. He would cherish you, be a gentleman. He’s often enthusiastic and animated, especially when using his elemental powers, which he clearly enjoys. Unlike many vampires who follow their leaders unquestioningly, Benjamin thinks for himself and isn’t afraid to challenge authority—he even defies Amun to stand with the Cullens. He’s respectful and friendly, showing genuine interest in others and treating them as equals, regardless of their coven or status. His actions show that he values fairness and freedom, and he’s willing to take risks to support what he believes. Given that he is a vampire, Benjamin is a bit old school when it comes to the romance. He likes to woo you with sweet words and poems that he concocts. He’s got a bit of an artistic side to him, so aesthetics or anything that sparks emotion or is inspirational. It sets a certain romantic mood for him. Benjamin is the type to be highly sensitive, in that he uses his senses that were once human are so in tune with yours, he will know what you are feeling before you even say anything. Bad day? He’s there to cheer you up. Good days? He loves hearing you talk about them. Since he has elemental-oriented powers, some trinkets could include ice sculptures of little figurines or tiny fire figures that dance around for your entertainment. Ben likes to live in the moment, and has a knack for spontaneity. He could plan a date on the spot and it’d still take your breath away. That spontaneity and enthusiasm is a very lovable part of him, and it plays a role in him wanting to spoil you every now and then. Spare no expense! Although he does like to spoil and go all out for you, he likes when you do the same too. Benjamin acts like a total lovesick puppy when you dote on him too! Benjamin is loyal, patient, and easygoing. He also shows his affection with simple, practical gestures that make his loved one feel comfortable and well taken care of. Lastly, Benjamin falls in love warmly and without question. He is a physically affectionate, passionate, caring, warm, light-hearted, interesting and spontaneous lover.
