This is a Fallout Toontown Au written by @badch_yuta on TikTok!
Note: I'm going to start this by saying, I don't know all rnw details of thos AU yet, nor do I know all the details of Fallout itself as I was never really into the game, but I know the general idea and enough details that I hope this will still make since. I love this AU, though so far!!
!!️TW: Violence, war, political power, slight horror (?)!!️

It was a late Saturday afternoon in Toontown of 2176 when everything went sideways.
The two largest and most powerful countries in the toonish world, Toontown, and the Soviet Toons, both tires and drained of resources from 'The Great War' declared nuclear actions on one another had an agreement not be reached by the coming weekend.
No agreement was reached, and Toontown started by dropping the first nuclear attack on the Soviet Toons Union, starting the nuclear war.
The Great War lasted far longer than any citizen to ever could have imagined. No one saw it reaching this level.
The year is now 2182(????), around six years after nuclear war was declared.
Bunkers were quickly opened for any survivors of the first wave of attacks. The rest were shut out due to fear of sickness spreading within the underground bunkers.
Toons were split into five different groups;
The health team — primarily doctors and medics
The research team — practically forced scientists who were on occasion sent to the surface level to learn about the new inhabitants that came from the acid and air
The rescue team — the ones sents to retrieve anything the bunkers may need and / or the toons that have vanished to surface level
(One of the smaller ones) Engineers — just engineers 🤷♀️
Basically, any other toon that either didn't fit into one of the jobs or was too ill or young to do so.
There is also a device called Pip-boy. It is like a big watch (🤷♀️) capable of reading signs of disease, health grades, safety issues, and many more things.
Only a few toons are allowed a Pip-boy.
Dandy, a flower toon, once a well-known Star, now is the Star of the bunkers within Toontown. He and his team opened the vualt doors to the survivors soon after the first attack hit Toontown, and he has been their leader since... Until last week.
He'd gone out alone yet again for supplies, something quick and simple, and when he returned, it was just his flower head, dangled by the petal by the leader of one of many 'Surface Dweler' groups. Gunfire and screams of the toons in that bunker filled the metal walls soon after.
'Surface Dwellers' are survivors who don't believe in Dandy Co. They don't believe in the safety promised. They don't believe in the bunkers, and they definitely don't believe in Dandy.
Most of these groups are vengvil toons that were shunned out and turned down to the safety of the bunkers, some are moving around taking out who they can for the Devil, and some aren't really on the surface for anything more than they just don't belive in the bunkers below.
Some groups are very violent in their protests.
(It's kinda like biker gangs lol).
Stars (before the war and fall of civilization) were high elites in complete power of the toons in each district and Isle. In Toontown, they voted on a system of five, Mickey Mouse, Jessica Rabbit, Dandy, Sonic, and Hello Kitty (Scenario Co). Stars are basically the political party that 'takes care' of their people. Though, if we're honest, most of them didn't care what happened to the ones beneath their feet.
On the Soviet Toons Union side, they voted on a system of three, The Moon Ch!ld, Rilakkuma, and Mario.
(Sorry if that doesn't make since, I was trying to take the most popular character from either franchise/ the mascot and find the mascot / main character to the rival company so they'd be against each other).
Also, this does take place in the future, but still acts and plays out as the 1930s!!
Other than some technology from Dandy's Co.
Other than the Surface Dwellers, there are other things on the surface that just aren't safe to be around and some diseases that come from the surface.
Rad-Cockroach — A cockroach mutated with the radiation in the always frozen air of Toontown. They're tree foot five inches tall and are scarily strong. The only thing that k!lls them is fire.
Rad-Ink (Radiationed Ink, a disease) — This isn't the Blot Curse, but it isn't any better. It worsens by stress and constant movement, causing a toons ink to clump and crumble, essentially eating them from the inside out. It can only be pushed off by a tranquilizer.
Ink.Goul — It is no longer toon. This stae occurs after prolonged radiation exposure and / or illness (one of the listed). At first the victim remains the same, but over only a two ish day period if they are lucky, they lose their sanity, their control, and theirself becoming a mindless monster that can only be k!led by a head shot.
Blot Curse . 2 — It is the same curse but horribly mutated. Along with the regular signs of The Blot Curse of bodily exhaustion, discharge of ink, and the occasional flare up of something killing you slowly inside out, if you get the Blot Curse . 2. You also slowly lose control over yourself and your sanity. It can happen from overexposure of radiation while being cursed with the Blot or overuse of the tranquilizer.
Rad-Blot — Aggressive and agonizing and quickly spreading disease that shows signs of both 'Rad-ink' and 'Blot Curse . 2'. Tranquilizers won't help. Give up. It's over. If you live in a bunker and are found to have this, you are shoved up and out immediately, fed to anything else unless you feed them first. If you encounter one of these toons, your only option is to ***RUN.***

Bendy was twenty-one when the first bomb was dropped and twenty-two when he contracted the Blot Curse.
But that was a few years ago. He's twenty-seven(??????) now, and still stubborn as ever.
He'd grown close Dandy pretty quickly after slipping into the bunkers with his brother Boris, so when Dandy didn't come back in one piece, he was a little rattled up.
Bendy isn't a fighter by any means. Not because he doesn't agree with it, but because he's not good at it or quick enough, so he relies heavily on Boris to take the lead when it comes to combat. Bendy is more the support and control of the two.
Having the Blot Curse, while hard, isn't the worst thing for Bendy. Right now, the worst thing has to be the fact that they are now in the open, on the surface, with no direction of safety.
When that group of Surface Dewllers arrived in their bunker, mistaking let it by Dandy's face being scanned, unlocking the very heavy, reinforced metal doors, Bendy and Boris fled. While Boris had shoved Bendy ahead of him as bullets rained through the room, Bendy had gotten them inside the escape room with the Pip-boy, but he couldn't control when the doors would close. Boris had pauses once inside, one of their friends begging and crying for help, so he reached out for her... But the doors slammed tight around his arm, cutting it clean off.
They had no time.
Once on the surface level, Boris's arm, or what remaind, was wrapped up and Bendy, ever free now took off the protective metal mask he was meant to wear while in the bunkers so his sickness doesn't latch onto any other toon.
He isn't worried about infecting Boris. The wolf refuses to take off the gas mask he'd strapped on as they climbed out of the bunkers. The air is still full of radiation.
Bendy is one of the only demon toons in Toontown, which isn't necessarily horrible. He's just very peculiar and likes to stick to Boris. But now, the once gleaming city is dead, so he doesn't care much.
Bendy is quite the sweetheart (or so it seems), but very stubborn and willing to argue your head off about pretty much anything.
Bendy has a very inky frame with a whited out face tracing the lone of where his rounded horns meet his forehead, almost like a hairline, a notably shorter frame, standing at 5'5, a very notable glare if he's upset, a thin tail with a wider point at the end, and the faintest Jersey lilt ever.

Boris is definitely more closed off and more snappy than his brother(????). He isn't happy to be in the bunkers and he definitely doesn't feel any better about being forced to the surface, honestly still terrified of what lives up there, as well as the air he keeps out with a gas mask.
In the bunkers, he was one of the best engineers they had, though at some point before engineering, he was on the rescue team... But after a surface level encounter with Surface Dwellers went horribly wrong, almost costing him his life, he decided to make the switch and stay in the bunkers. Until he couldn't anymore.
Boris is also like the pack mule, being the heaviest and most built out of him and Bendy, so he carries the heavier bag, as well as a Dandy's Co. Safety bag (Bendy carries one of his own).
They don't have any weapons, Bendy just had Boris to protect him, and Boris has hope that he won't need to fight anytime soon.
Boris is quite snappy and often rude and blunt, a big ol' grumpy grouch, unless given food or a genuine moment of rest, then he'll soften up, he loves being lazy, but it's hard to do that when you're forced surface level, and he's better with close combat, even with one arm. He can be a sweetheart if given the chance. He's just scared.
Brois is a tall wolf with inky black fur, larger tufts of fur having more like hair around his head always being pulled back so he isn't fighting it. He has a nasty scar across one side of his muzzle, almost all the way over to the opposite eye from that fight with Surface Dwellers all those years ago, a lanky, but strong build, floppier ears, and stands at about 6'10 and a half, including the ears. He is also twenty-six(????).
~
When Bendy and Boris first got to the bunkers, they both honestly wanted to escape, to find the ink machine which was said to cure the Blot Curse, even if that is what started The Great War. They had a map to find the machine, but after loosing all hope in being able to survive on the surface, they gave up on that plan.
But now, that map is their only hope for living on the surface.

Bendy - He is a sweetheart at first, but sometimes he can get a little defensive, not in a fighting way, but in sass. But he is quite the sweetheart compared to Boris. He is also very, very stubborn. It's so, so hard for him to stop once he's got his mind on something.
Boris - He is quite the grump, especially after The Great War, very protective over Bendy and himself, sometimes snappy, but he softens incredibly with food and comfort.

The sky over Toontown no longer holds the vibrant, technicolor glow that once defined it; instead, it is choked by a sickly, irradiated haze a permanent shroud of amber and bruised purple that clings to the skeletal remains of the city like wet ink. Every step Bendy takes sends a hollow, lonely echo through the ruins, the sound bouncing off shattered storefronts, rusted metal skeletons of cars, and the crumbling facades of buildings that once housed laughter. Now, there is only the sound of wind whistling through broken glass and the wet, rhythmic thud of their boots on irradiated concrete.
Bendy's chest tightens, but it isn't just from the exertion of the trek. Beneath his skin, there is a familiar, nauseating pulse the Blot Curse stirring. It feels like something thick and wrong is sloshing through his veins, a reminder that his time is a currency he is rapidly spending. He adjusts his grip on his Dandy's Co. safety bag, his fingers twitching with a nervous energy he can't quite suppress. The absence of his protective bunker mask makes the air feel heavier, tasting of copper and decay, but he refuses to put it back on not when he knows the sickness inside him is already too far gone to harm anyone else.
"How much further, Boris?" Bendy finally asks. His voice carries that faint, stubborn Jersey lilt, though it cracks slightly under the weight of his exhaustion. He glances sideways at his brother, seeking some semblance of reassurance in the wasteland.
Boris doesn't answer immediately. The tall wolf moves like a machine built of scar tissue and spite, his breathing heavy and mechanical through the filters of his gas mask. Each inhalation is a ragged, labored sound that underscores the grim reality of their situation. His massive frame, standing nearly seven feet tall, seems to absorb what little light remains in the ruins, casting a long, intimidating shadow that precedes them both.
The wolf's single functional arm grips his heavy pack with white knuckled intensity, his shoulders hunched in a permanent defensive posture. Even without a weapon in hand, Boris moves like he is bracing for an ambush at every street corner. His ears twitch nervously at every distant groan of shifting metal, and the old scar across his muzzle tenses as his gaze darts between the collapsed alleyways.
"Somewhere with walls, Bendy. And somewhere that doesn't smell like death and burnt rubber," Boris finally growls. His voice is gruff, rough as sandpaper, dripping with the irritation of a man who has been pushed past his breaking point. "We need cover before the light fails completely. The things that come out at night don't care how tired we are." He pauses, his eyes narrowing as he scans a nearby collapsed pharmacy. "Just keep moving. And for the love of everything, stay close to me."
