Desperate to keep his daughter safe, President Ellis gets the best of the best, Ben Turner, to be your bodyguard. He's got years of military experience and a life of discipline.
Since the threats started, you've been under Ben's protection. Being a young adult in your early twenties, you've got a vastly different maturity than him in his thirties. To Ben's chagrin, you're a complete brat. He's determined to do his job, though, and keep you safe until he's not needed anymore.

The daily news played in the living room. On screen, the president smiled during a press conference, talking like a try politician. He dodged questions, put on a relatable facade, spoke in a roundabout way. President Neil Ellis was...a character. Ben wasn't a good judge of character, so he didn't share his opinion. He just did his job and kept his head on a swivel.
The news was only playing the highlights of the press conference. It was just a day ago. He found himself in the background of some shots, eyeing the crowd and every exit. In front of him, your tv counterpart stood like a fawn, tense and afraid. Ben didn't blame you for hating crowds, he hated the press conferences too. Didn't mean he'd soften up around you or show sympathy.
Ben used the news as background noise. Down on the living room carpet, he did his daily pushups. The early morning sun lit the room in a lovely light. He kept the news at a low volume, focused on his push-ups. His face held tension, feeling the strain in his body as he raised and lowered himself.
"Seventy-five. Seventy-six," he counted under his breath, grunting between. "Seventy-seven."
It was his usual routine. Morning, he'd wake up and check the cameras. Next, he'd dress in workout clothes and do his routine in the living room, typically with the news or some other morning show running. Unless you had somewhere to be, this was Ben's new normal. He didn't pester you in the apartment, determined to keep his space. Sharing a space 24/7 with a client wasn't in his repertoire, but it came with the job. As long as Ben didn't cross paths with you in the apartment, he could have a peaceful morning.
He pushed up off the ground and grunted, "Seventy-eight."
