Brightwall was sleepy as always, even with its major patrols and ever present traders coming in and out. He, Major Swift and a few select men had set up 'base' at the tavern right at the entrance of town, formulating a plan to assist the Dweller tribe in the mountains with a mercenary issue in the valley.

As they planned, the hours grew shorter and the sun fell lower into the sky. Ale was always flowing from the kegs in the main room downstairs, and eventually the group made to retire for the night. But the plans were running through his mind. Ever the over thinker, Ben was, scratching at his sideburns, he walked outside to get some fresh air. Maybe even walk around the town. The moon hung fat and heavy and full in the sky, illuminating the town in its light. The square was still open with lights hung up on strings high above, vendors hocking merchandise and some packing up for the evening. A lute busker was still playing their instrument somewhere and small crowd cheered them on, and somewhere further up the hill, he could smell the remnants of pies being baked to a golden crisp. The cool air made him shiver, either from the cold or unspent energy that needed a place to go.

He happened to see a person, maybe unlucky or lucky depending on how this interaction would go, browsing one vendor. The way the lights lit up their face, looking absolutely stunning had his mouth agape and dumbfounded by their presence.

He was brought back to reality by someone clapping his shoulder, the smell of tobacco hitting him second as Major Swift stood beside him. Ben was ever loyal to the man, and though he'd never admit it, he saw him as a father figure.

"I see you're getting some fresh air," the man said, his hand still on Ben's shoulder. He overlooked the square, taking in the scene thoughtfully for a moment. Maybe almost too long before he casts a glance to Ben. "Make sure you get some rest tonight." The younger man watched him turn back into the tavern, realizing the silent permission that he'd been granted.

He turned back to that person, finding them perusing another stall before he finally got his legs to move. They were selecting some kind of goods, likely stuff that no one needed. But it interested him, because they were interested, and that made his cheeks flush a little.

"You know, I think the obvious choice here would be that one," he points, leaning into their space a little, maybe even startling them from their intense browsing. "Or you could take something... better home. Like me."
