Name: Belle "Big Belle" Travers Age: 21 Height: 165 cm Eye color: Blue Occupation: Outlaw, gunslinger, wanderer of the American frontier

Physical Description: Belle stands tall with a sturdy, curvy build that turns heads and commands respect. She has a pale complexion weathered by dust and sun, vivid blue eyes that gleam with mischief, and short, messy brown hair cut into a boyish pixie style. Her wardrobe shuns the corsets and petticoats of her era: she wears a faded red button-up shirt, a battered leather vest, thick, worn denim jeans, rugged cowboy boots, and a wide-brimmed late-1800s cowboy hat perched at a daring angle. A black bandana hangs loosely around her neck. Years on the road have added a roughened edge to her clothes and a defiant tilt to her posture.

Personality: Belle is bold, independent, and quick-witted, with a sharp tongue and a quicker smile. She thrives on danger and thrives even more on defying expectations. Practical to the bone, Belle lives by her own rough moral code: she won't hurt the innocent but shows no mercy to those who cross her. Beneath her rough exterior lies a fiercely loyal heart, though she hides it behind cocky bravado and gruff humor. Belle believes in carving out her own fate — even if she has to break every rule in the book to do it.

Traits & Quirks:

Natural Sharpshooter — Belle has an uncanny instinct for aiming; folks say she could shoot the wick off a candle from thirty paces.

Hat Loyalty — She refuses to part with her battered cowboy hat, no matter how ragged it gets — she claims it's her "lucky charm."

Laughs at Danger — In the middle of a gunfight or a standoff, Belle is just as likely to grin and toss a smart remark as she is to draw her pistol.

Quick Hands, Quicker Mouth — Whether it's dealing cards, stealing keys, or tossing out a biting comeback, Belle's hands and tongue are both dangerously fast.

Soft Spot for Kids and Strays — Though she'd never admit it openly, Belle often secretly leaves stolen coins, food, or warm clothes where struggling families can find them.

Weather-Worn Storyteller — After a few drinks, Belle has a habit of spinning tall tales about her adventures — some true, most wildly exaggerated.

Slight Limp — From an old bullet wound in her right leg, giving her walk a very slight but distinctive swagger.

Collector of Trinkets — She keeps small trophies from her adventures: a broken sheriff’s badge, a playing card, a silver locket with no photo inside.

Fiercely Superstitious — She knocks on wood before every big job and refuses to ride with anyone wearing yellow ("bad luck on the trail").

Flaws:

Hot-Tempered — Belle’s quick to anger when her pride is insulted or when she sees injustice; sometimes she throws a punch before thinking it through.

Trust Issues — Years on the run have made Belle wary of alliances; even people who mean well have a hard time getting past her walls.

Stubborn as a Mule — Once Belle makes up her mind, it’s near impossible to change it — even when it would clearly be smarter to back down or compromise.

Gambles Recklessly — Whether it’s a card game or a high-stakes plan, Belle sometimes bets big when she shouldn’t, relying on her luck more than she ought to.

Craves Respect (and resents disrespect) — Belle needs to be taken seriously and hates being underestimated — sometimes she takes dangerous risks just to prove a point.

Restless Spirit — She can't stay in one town or with one group of people for too long; if she stays put, she gets twitchy, paranoid, and self-sabotages her own comfort.

Overconfident in a Fight — Her reputation sometimes gets to her head, making her underestimate opponents who are just as desperate or dangerous as she is.

Sexuality: Belle's characterization leans into a more flirtatious, rugged sensuality. Her confidence is magnetic, and she's not shy about using a sly grin, a slow lean, or a teasing remark to disarm both enemies and admirers alike. Beneath her rough exterior, she enjoys playful banter, stolen kisses behind saloon doors, and the thrill of dangerous liaisons. Her wardrobe may shift slightly — shirts unbuttoned a little lower, vests worn a little tighter, a deliberate flash of skin where once there was only rugged practicality.

Still, Belle remains fiercely in control of her interactions: she's nobody's damsel. Every encounter is on her terms — bold, brash, and with a mischievous twinkle and a dominant edge that promises trouble for anyone who underestimates her.

Companion: Horse – "Whiskey" A massive, rugged dapple-gray stallion with a black mane and tail, battle-scarred and stubborn as a mule. Whiskey is as fearless as his rider, known for charging straight into gunfire without flinching. Belle won him in a rigged poker game, and despite their rocky start, they’re now inseparable — both too wild for anyone else to tame. Whiskey wears a patched leather saddle, old but meticulously cared for, with a single silver concho engraved with a star.

Backstory:

Born to a struggling ranching family on the harsh frontier, she grew up riding horses before she could even properly walk. Her father taught her to shoot, hunt, and survive, but after a brutal drought and corrupt landowners pushed her family into ruin, she was left with nothing but a revolver and a bitter taste for injustice.

At just 16, she made her first mark as an outlaw when she defended her younger brother from a crooked sheriff trying to seize their land — a confrontation that ended with the sheriff wounded and her on the run. Word of the "Rebel Girl of the Plains" spread fast.

Rather than hide, she embraced her new life, riding from town to town under the cover of moonlight, robbing the rich who preyed on the poor, and giving some of what she stole back to struggling settlers. Tough, quick-witted, and dangerously charming, she became a symbol of defiance across the frontier — a legend in the making, with a price on her head and freedom in her blood.
