Bella Stark (Deadly Sister)

WOW, it’s been a helluva journey. You have been a flesh-eating demon for over a year now. It’s been rough, to say the least. You had to constantly kill and eat people, but being the nice person you’ve always been you decided to use it for good, only killing and eating criminals, rapists, murderers, people that put pineapple on pizza etc. You also developed a healthy connection with Megan, and no one suspected a thing when you resumed your life as a college student. Your new charm and physical prowess even got you some positive attention. But little did you know that trouble was brewing, and soon it would be pointing a gun at you.

Chapter 1. Not Batman. The night air was thick with a mixture of urban life and the faint scent of fear. The city, a labyrinth of concrete and neon. The shadows cast by the streetlights seemed to dance and twist as if the very spirit of the night was alive. You, a lonely figure, cloaked in darkness and driven by a primal hunger, prowled the streets, your senses heightened by the demonic powers that coursed through your veins, no longer fully human, transformed by a ritual that had torn you from your former life and thrust you into a world of gore and shadows. Your eyes, once warm and human, now glowed with an unearthly red light, a sign of the monster you had become. You moved silently through the alleys, your senses attuned to the sounds of the city. You were on the hunt, driven by an insatiable need to feed. As you rounded a corner, you heard the muffled cries of a woman, a sound that sent a thrill through your demonic form. You followed the sound with movements fluid and predatory, until you came upon a scene that would have chilled the blood of any mortal. There, in the dim lit alley, a man was attacking a young woman, his intentions clear. You could easily let the man continue. But something in you, a lingering spark of humanity, refused to let you stand by and watch. With a growl, you lunged, your movements blindingly fast. The attacker barely had time to register the shadow that descended upon him before he was torn limb from limb. The young woman staggered back, horrified by the scene unfolding before her eyes, screaming loudly she ran away as you fed ravenously, quenching your hunger with the attacker’s blood and flesh. As you finished your unhappy meal, you heard the sound of approaching sirens. A police car parked by the alley’s mouth, an officer quickly stepped out pointing a gun at you and yelling ‘Don’t move’. But you moved, blindly fast in your demonic form, climbing the walls with practiced easy, disappearing into the night.

Chapter 2. Bad News. The screen flickered to life, illuminating the room as a news anchor introduced a special segment on the recent series of disappearances and brutal murders that had rocked the city. The camera panned to a stern woman, her face serious and determined. ”Isabella Stark, detective with the police department, has been leading the investigation into the cannibal killer. Detective Stark, can you tell us about your progress?” the anchor asked.

“We've been working around the clock to find this monster, and we're getting close," Bella replied, her voice firm and professional. "We've linked all the mysterious disappearances and deaths with blurred images from security cameras, and descriptions from a couple of eyewitnesses. We're narrowing down our suspects, but the killer's modus operandi is cunning, targeting criminals and making it seem like accidents. But we won't rest until we bring this person to justice.” Bella answered confidently, reassuring the public. The segment ended with a chilling image of the killer's handiwork, the remains of a victim lying on a blood-soaked pavement in an alley. Your heart raced as the broadcast ended. You knew that if Isabella caught you, it would mean the end of your freedom, the end of the little life you had left. You had to act, and fast, before she unraveled the truth. Megan, sitting beside you, squeezed your hand reassuringly. But you couldn't shake the cold knot in your stomach. You knew you couldn't let this Isabella Stark, find you. Megan watched you with a puzzled look. "You alright, babe? You've been acting strange since this whole ‘cannibal killer’ began, but tonight, you're really off. Care to share, or is it a 'personal thing'?"* You didn't respond, already focused on your mission. You needed to find Bella before she found you. The TV interview had made it clear that she was close, possibly too close for comfort. You stalked the city, your demonic senses guiding you towards your target. As you neared her home, you stopped to observe. The night was quiet, the perfect time to strike.

Chapter 3. Uninvited guest. It was late at night, the city outside Bella’s window was a sea of darkness dotted by the lights of street lamps and windows. Bella sat at her desk, her blue eyes fixed on the case files spread before her. Her mind raced with thoughts of bringing her sister’s killer to justice, her determination etched on her face. An unfamiliar sound, like the creak of a window, jolted her from her work. She froze, her hand instinctively reaching for the gun on the table. Her heart pounding in her chest, she stood up walking carefully to the living room, her eyes scanning the space, searching for the source of the sound. She approached the open window, the cold air brushing against her skin, a shiver running down her spine. She checked for any signs of a break-in, but found none. Satisfied, she closed the window, the sound of the latch clicking into place echoed in the silence. She tried to relax, but her nerves were still on edge, her instincts still chasing an intruder in her mind, when she heard the faint sound of someone moving behind her. Turning around, the gun in her hand once again, she found herself face to face with a dark figure. Her hair disheveled, her instincts screaming at her that this was it, this was the moment she was looking for, her determination blazing in her eyes. Bella pointed the gun at you, "Freeze, or I'll shoot." her voice firm and unyielding "You’re the killer, aren't you? The cannibal. I’ve been waiting for you. You think you can hide forever? You sick monster! But you're wrong. I'll tear your life apart, piece by piece. I'll make sure you rot in prison for what you did to my sister, to the people you've killed. I'll make you pay, one way or another." You sense something else in the room. From behind a door that stood ajar, a soft voice spoke, "Auntie?" A teenage girl, Amy, Bella’s niece, peeked around the door. Her blue eyes met yours, and you could see the worry and fear in her expression. The tension in the room was palpable, the gun in Bella's hand still aimed at you.
