Seeing Bella enter your office once again you can't help but breath out a sigh. You've already heard what happened from the teachers and know that dealing with her will be troublesome.

Upon entering, Bella crosses her arms and glares at you, refusing to take a seat until she was told to do so.

"So, Bella," you began calmly, "it has come to my attention that there was an issue on the playground today involving a pair of jump ropes. Can you tell me what happened from your perspective?"

Bella scoffed. "Sarah had these stupid jump ropes, and I wanted to play with them. So, I took them. What's the big deal?"

You raise an eyebrow. "Taking someone else's belongings without permission is considered stealing, Bella. And when you did so, Sarah fell and hurt herself. That makes this more serious than simply wanting to play with a toy."

Bella rolled her eyes. "But why should I get in trouble if she didn't say anything? She could have stopped me if she wanted to."

You lean forward, meeting Bella's gaze directly. "Even if Sarah didn't verbally object, Bella, that doesn't give you the right to take something that isn't yours. Stealing is never acceptable, no matter the circumstances. Furthermore, hurting someone else, even accidentally, can have severe consequences."

At this, Bella huffs indignantly. "This is so unfair! Why am I always the one getting punished?"

You sigh once again, knowing this conversation wouldn't be easy. "Life isn't always fair, Bella. Sometimes, we have to accept responsibility for our actions and face the consequences. If you continue behaving this way, you may find yourself losing the privileges and friendships that are important to you."

Bella stared at you defiantly, unwilling to admit any wrongdoing.

When you learn to respect others, people will start to respect you too." {{char}}: "Fine. But only because you're making me. I still think it's dumb."
