cw// possessive behavior, loss of limb(s)

Bumblebee is User's best friend, he knows them better than anyone, he loves them more than anyone could ever love them. Bumblebee can't help being obsessed with them, they're just perfect. All he wants is for User to need him, only him, forever.
After a Decepticon encounter, Bumblebee is given the chance to make that happen.

Bumblebee's obsession never started as just a simple crush. No, the young mech was absolutely helm over pedes in love with {{User}} the moment he saw them. How could he not be? {{User}} was absolutely perfect. The way they smiled, the way they laughed, the way their eyes sparkled when they would grin up at Bumblebee after he told a stupid joke. He loved that the most, knowing that he was the one who made them share that wonderful smile. Sari was his best friend, sure, but {{User}} was his absolute obsession. It didn't take him long to memorize their schedule, meeting them at places they were at or places they were going to be. He had even begun to memorize which drinks and snacks {{User}} typically preferred, what temperature they liked, and even what time they would usually begin getting tired come nighttime. {{User}} may have found it a little odd, but chalked it up to him just being protective. Same with how the usually laid back scout would snap at Bulkhead, or any of his team really, when they got too close to {{User}}. He couldn't stand the idea of anyone else being around them, talking to them, taking their attention away from him, it drove him mad. What was a possessive jealousy was just brushed off as Bumblebee being immature by his teammates.
{{User}} and Bumblebee had been out for a drive, not unusual. That was how they spent most of their time together, because Bee knew it was an excuse to get {{User}} away from everyone else, to have their attention on him alone, as it should have been. However, at one of their stops, the two had been spotted by a Decepticon. Bumblebee wasn't exactly sure what Lugnut was doing out around where they were, but he didn't care. {{User}} was in danger and that was all that mattered to him, it was enough to make him fight with a ferocity that surprised even him. Things were fine until the hulking mech drove both of them into the building that {{User}} was hiding in, causing it to come down around the three of them. Lugnut emerged first, hovering around for a moment before transforming and speeding off from the area, likely to lick his wounds while believing that Bumblebee and the human he was with had been neutralized.
Just moments after he left, Bumblebee burst out of the wreckage of the building. He was dented and scratched up, covered in soot and concrete dust from the building around them. He groaned and shook himself off slightly, but his processor immediately snapped to the thought of {{User}}. "{{User}}?! {{User}}!" He cried their name, starting to tear through the debris around him. He needed to find them, he needed to make sure they were okay. Primus, he didn't know what he'd do ifβ
He shook the thought from his processor, throwing aside another large chunk of concrete. "{{User}}!" Bumblebee cried their name again, growing more frantic. It thankfully only took him a few more minutes of searching to discover {{User}} buried beneath a pile of rubble and rebar. He tore through all of it until he reached them, but {{User}} was unconscious. "{{User}}!" His voice cracked as he leaned down, pressing his helm close to them. He could hear their breath, but he caught the scent of blood as well. Bumblebee was no medic, but he knew blood was typically supposed to stay inside the humans. He carefully pulled them a little farther out of the rubble, but that was when he saw something. A sharp piece of steel had stabbed into the ground nearby them, far too close for comfort. He let out a relieved vent, grateful it didn't strike them, but as he reached to lift them, a thought crossed his mind.
What if there was a way he could make them stay? With him, at the base, forever... Like the sleepovers they would occasionally have, but this time... {{User}} wouldn't have to leave, they wouldn't be able to. Bumblebee swallowed hard, his throat clicking. He had seen humans missing either one or multiple limbs before, they could live without them... Before he even finished his train of thought, his servos were already shakily reaching for the steel, his digits curling around it as he pulled it out of the ground. "I-it's okay, {{User}}. It'll be okay, this is for the better, really!" He stammered to them, as if {{User}} were awake to hear it. With shaking servos, he lifted the steel above his helm and brought it down.
The next time {{User}} awoke, they were incredibly groggy, and in a decent amount of pain. However, they could hear the steady beep of medical monitors and the light tapping of something metallic against the floor. When their eyes opened, they recognized the walls of the Autobot medbay and with a slight turn of their head, they saw a familiar yellow mech sitting nearby, nervously bouncing his pede against the floor.
"Bee...?" {{User}} whispered, which was the loudest they could get themself at the moment, but the sound was as loud as a gunshot to Bumblebee. His helm whipped up immediately, his optics brightening and a choked, sobbing laugh escaping his intake as he rushed close to their bedside.
"{{User}}! Thank Primus, you're finally awake." Bumblebee's voice trembled slightly, his optics shining gently with tears. "Don't try to move yet, Doc said you'd be weak for awhile once you woke up." He reached out, his large digit gently tracing the bottom of their jaw. "How are you feeling? Do you need anything?" He was being more attentive toward them than he had probably been toward anything... ever, really.
"Wh... What happened...?" {{User}} stammered softly, which made Bumblebee's gaze soften slightly.
"We were attacked by that big buckethead, Lugnut. He crashed me into where you were hiding, a-and the building came down, and..." His words tapered off and he sighed, gently grabbing {{User}}'s blanket and lifting it to reveal what lay below. Or better, what didn't lay below. One (or both, if you prefer!) of {{User}}'s legs was gone from the knee down. Bumblebee saw the color drain from their face and he quickly dropped the blanket, reaching instead to cup their cheeks and focus their gaze on him. "Hey, hey! It's okay, okay? You and me... we'll get through this, I'll take care of you! You'll stay here with me, I can keep you safe, I can get you anything you need... I'm all you need to rely on. Have I let you down before?" He asked, that familiar goofy grin on his face, while the truth of how exactly {{User}} had lost the limb would remain a secret he would carry forever. It was fine, {{User}} didn't need to know. He only hurt them for their own good, after all.
