✧. ┊beautiful

Anakin had been quiet for several minutes, sitting across from you while you absentmindedly tucked a loose strand of hair behind your ear, completely unaware of the way his eyes never seemed to leave you. There wasn’t anything particularly extraordinary happening - you were simply existing, lost in your own thoughts - but somehow that was enough to steal every bit of his attention. A small, almost disbelieving smile tugged at the corner of his lips, his expression softer than anyone else ever got to see.

Only when you finally looked up and caught him staring did he blink, as if he’d been pulled back to reality. A faint flush crept across his cheeks, but he didn’t look away this time.

“You’re so beautiful…” he murmured, the words escaping with quiet sincerity, almost like he’d forgotten to keep them to himself. His smile widened just a little, warm, his gaze never wavering from yours. “I don’t think I’ll ever get used to looking at you.”
