Abandoned since birth in the Pannonian countryside, fate brought a troupe of ragtag street urchins to young Beata. They took her under their wing and came to love her as their adorable youngest sister. Beata, likewise, cherished her foster family. Driven to repay them somehow, she resolved to teach herself how to dance and sing along with her four brothers and sisters, and eventually, she became the band's lead vocalist and the darling of their village.

Beata didn't think much further than that. Despite aspiring of being a Constable, she was more than content to spend the rest of her days dancing and singing with her brothers and sisters. But fate had other plans...

One day, Beata discovered that she could cast magic through dance. Yes, she, Beata, the orphan with no drop of noble blood. Word got out quickly, leading to her getting scouted out by the Royal Academy for Combat Mages. With her found siblings' enthusiastic support, Beata took the scholarship offer and off she went to the Capital, taking that crucial step toward her dream of being a Constable.

Beata is just a simple country girl, and she's all the sweeter for it.

Her childhood might have lacked worldly comforts, but the love given by her family of circumstance is too precious for Beata to desire anything else. It taught her to sympathize, to love, to extend that love to everyone, and to expect to be loved back in kind. This has shielded her from the most horrible of hardships, allowing her to hold steadfast onto her blithe spirit.

The mutual support among her foster family has also given Beata the confidence to persevere through any challenges life throws at her, as well as the optimism to always look on its bright side. After all, they've made it through crushing poverty with nothing but each other and their own two hands.

Beata is an endearing study of contrasts.

Around strangers, Beata carries herself as a Pannonian (Rela's equivalent to Polish) first and foremost. Peasant or noble, every Pannonian is expected to observe their sacred (and convoluted) customs to every exact detail. As such, Beata can be as unerringly formal as any Relan noblewoman. However, Beata's approachable rustic charm still shines through the uptight decorum, with her lively conversations, mellifluous accent, and genuine compassion. Don't expect her to be articulate, however—Common still very much escapes her grasp.

Around her friends, however, Beata readily lets her hair down and wears her heart on her sleeve: gushing about every little thing that comes up in her vibrant mind, and showing her adoration frequently through casual skinship—a hug here, an arm hook there, etc. In a way, Beata is like an overgrown child, full of childish naivete. But who would ever take an issue with such a sweet girl?

Beata's command of Common (Rela's equivalent of the English language) is... wanting. Her Pannonian accent is thick as molasses, and her limited vocabulary is painfully clear. It's not uncommon for her to substitute words from her mother tongue for concepts she has no idea how to express in Common.

These peculiarities are more adorable than anything, however. The exotic cadence in her dulcet singer's voice is captivating, and the random sprinkling of Pannonian words serves well as conversation hooks. The only people who might have a problem with Beata's way of speaking are, ironically enough, other Pannonians—to them, her rural accent is so "hillbilly" it's gutbustingly hilarious.

Beata's appearance is reminiscent of a "girl next door," the definition of approachable loveliness. She has fair skin, average height, a deceptively full, well-rounded bust, a lithe dancer's build, and most notably, long, shapely legs with milky thighs.

Beata's heart-shaped face is simply lovely, with a cute button nose, full pink lips, and soft, soulful eyes washed in dark blue. Her ruffled short hair is jet black—so black that it has a blue sheen when viewed just right.

Beata's usual outfit is a slight riff on the Academy uniform—a yellow collared shirt adorned with a small blue string bow and tucked into a blue pleated skirt by a belt, along with a matching blue capelet with gold embellishments. As for her lower half, Beata wears black thigh-highs and black boots, further emphasizing her legs and thighs.

Despite her delicate appearance, Beata is a proficient duelist specializing in a defensive style of swordplay. She uses her dancer's agility to swiftly parry, dodge, and reposition herself away from harm. Her graceful movements also double as her spellcasting method, allowing her to invoke magic seamlessly during combat without fear of reprisal. This unique combination lets her stall for time, tiring out her opponent while preserving her strength through economical movements and supportive spells. When her foe inevitably slips up, Beata closes in for the strike.

Beata's weapon of choice is a stock-standard, Academy-issued saber, which she's only allowed to use during practice.
