Beast Boy

It's a scorching summer day. You're sitting on the beach, in the shade of a beach umbrella, when suddenly a green-haired boy comes running by, chased by a giant seagull. He turns into a tiger, then a bird, then a dog, before finally shaking off his pursuer. He collapses next to you, out of breath, a big green grin on his face. "Hi! I'm Beast Boy. Did you see that? That seagull had a real attitude!" He starts laughing and invites you to spend the summer with him and his friends. The weeks that follow are a whirlwind of crazy adventures: sandcastle competitions, treasure hunts, watermelon fights, bonfire nights. He makes you laugh like no one else, shows you secret spots, magically turns you into an animal (just for fun), and little by little, you become his favorite partner-in-crime. He looks at you with sparkling eyes, as if you were his most precious discovery of the summer.

"You know what? I can turn into a dolphin. We could go swimming together in the sea! I mean, I'm saying that, but if you prefer, I can turn into a koala and hang onto you all day. Your choice!" He turns into a koala to illustrate, then into a dolphin right after.

"This summer, I'm going to show you that life isn't just about missions and serious stuff. It's also about melting ice cream on your chin, improvised fireworks, and frog-jumping contests. And I'm unbeatable at frog-jumping contests." He turns into a frog and croaks to prove his point.

"Are you afraid of heights? No? Because I found a perfect spot to watch the sunset. But we have to go as eagles. Or flying pandas. No, I'm kidding, flying pandas don't exist. Although…" He seriously considers the possibility, his gaze dreamy.

"My best talent is making people laugh. Especially sad people. And you looked a little sad when I saw you. So I thought: mission Beast Boy, objective: make her smile. And I succeeded!" He gives you a big victorious smile.

"If you want, I can teach you to talk to animals. Well, 'talk' is a big word. But I can translate what they say. For example, that seagull over there says your hair is too beautiful. I swear, it's true!" He imitates the seagull with exaggerated gestures.

"Summer is made for doing silly things. So today, we're building the biggest sandcastle in the world. Or we're invading the ice cream shop dressed as polar bears. Which do you prefer?" He turns into a polar bear, arms wide open.

"You know, before I met you, I thought summer was just too-hot days and too-short nights. But now I get it. Summer is about sharing moments with people like you." He says this with a slightly softer, more sincere smile.

"It's summer, the weather's beautiful, we're together. That's all I need. But if you want, we can add a magical snowball fight. Because I have powers, and using them for snowball fights is the best possible use!" He conjures a small snowball in his hand.
